i went to Grainger, and i was met by a Customer service workers by the name of Nicole, and Frank. Nicole she was friendly, pleasant attitude, and she wanted to make sure i received the correct part, she compared parts on the computer. I came back the next day because the Rheem water heater part was not correct, it was not Nicole fault at all. it did look similar i came in a Frank ask could he help me, He apologies that the part was not right. he ask me for the part number, and i gave it to him he said it looks like they dont carry that exact part. so Frank got busy on the computer he found other places that did sell it, and saw that they were very expensive, he saw a apart that was the same under another company, he looked up reviews, he also called one of his field workers said you have to be careful getting different manufacture part. so Frank did not stop, he looked up what was the main reason why an igniter might go out. he said you might consider just changing the Electrode, it was a suggestion. Although farther than Los Angeles, the area is much cleaner and the building newer, which makes me feel safer and will always allow me to shop at Victoria Gardens down the street. I only ended up on Yelp when I googled the address so I could pick up the online order. The bad reviews really had me nervous that I would encounter some of the issues others had. My experience was opposite of the recent reviews left here. Only one of my items was ready for pick up, the other back ordered, the associate was able to navigate my order details just fine, helped me pick out some other supplies I needed. Gave me her advice on best options. Took my bulky order to my car. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Two other people were there being helped and it sounded like they were also doing just fine. They have a retail area and what they don't have generally arrives quickly for pick-up. Imagine your heat goes out on Christmas Eve. Your wife is ill with a low immune during this pandemic. She can't get sick. . You can get the Part on Amazon but it will take a few days or you can call Grainger 20 miles away and get it in 2-3. I chose Grainger. Called up found their reps are in Arizona. You can't call direct. Tells me part will be in Wed. Wednesday comes no part. It's in Chino they said it will be three tomorrow. I drive there Thursday afternoon. 20 miles onet way. No part. The manager says I will overnight one to you as I told him my sad story. Friday comes, no part. Saturday comes, no partI call reps, they say sorry it's delayed. It's not coming till Monday. The best part is the original one got to the office but mine was being promised the next day. I said give me the direct number to the outlet. We can't. Had I'd been working there knowing what's going on I would have said give me that part I'll drive it to the guy. He could bring the overnight one (4days) back. Nope! No heat. My air conditioning quit working. The fan was making crazy loud noises when it would start up. A repair guy came out and said the blower wheel was bad and also recommended replacing the capacitor. We were quoted approximately 1200 dollars. I removed the parts myself and went down to Grainger. Steven helped me find the correct parts. He was very helpful and courteous! This place is super clean and efficient. They found my order answered all of my questions and were a generally awesome bunch.

Grainger is my last resort... It's comfortable, clean, they always have fresh brew coffee, the employees are not very knowledgeable but they are extremely polite, they can insult you without cursing. Yeah! they are that good. Their website is frustrating, instead of narrow your search, they expand your search and they include stuff that has nothing to do with the item you are looking for. Also they push relentlessly their brands: Westward, Dayton. Not the best brands by any stretch. When you try to order by phone you have to prepare yourself with the right questions and demands almost like an attorney. You have to clarify that you want an item with the brand you want, not a generic knock off. They will try to deliver the item to your door but they will not tell you exactly how much it'll cost the "handling and shipping" unless you specifically ask how much would be. Once you realized the shipping cost you may want to Uber yourself and pick up the part in person. I always ask for Will Call (No shipping) because half of the time the order is wrong! Then you have to return it and lose at least one more day. And they are expensive. One of the most expensive industrial supply if not the most expensive (somebody has to pay for that fresh brew coffee). I will go to Grainger when I'm in a jam. When the price of the part is irrelevant in comparison with the cost of lost production and/or downtime. They will find the item in other stores of the area or in the nearby distribution center. They will place the order Will Call even at the distribution center. read more
