Walking back to my office when this wonderful aroma just hit my face. I'm looking all around trying to figure out where the smell of freshly baked bread was coming from when I looked down and noticed Gramma's Bakery. While I was slightly disappointed to find out that they didn't sell their bread in house but sold it at a local deli. Since I was already inside I decided to try a couple of their baked goods. Being that I stopped by in the afternoon they were out of a lot of things. But I did try a peanut butter cookie and cinnamon roll. The cookie was pretty good soft and chewy. The cinnamon roll for dense, chewy, and tasted nothing like a cinnamon. I took a couple of bites & threw it away. I wanted to like this place because the people were very kind. Chocolate chips are to die for, but you gotta get there early because they sell out quick. I've gone twice to get them and they've been out.

This is our second visit to grandmas, and my husband would come daily if we lived closer. ( we live in Alaska.) Today he had chocolate chip cookies, a bear claw and coffee. Never disappoints. It's an hour drive for us, so we don't get there as often as we'd like. Everything is amazing. Once we arrived when there was one loaf of pesto focaccia available. Finally made it to Grama's Bakery!!! It was well worth the wait as the bakery goods are phenomenal!!! The coconut macaroons were the best I've ever eaten and all of their cookies were incredible. Very reasonably priced for what you get. I wanted to try one of everything since they all looked amazing!! Jessica the owner had left for the day, but Valerie was super friendly and helpful. I strongly encourage you to go whenever you are in Prescott and you will not be disappointed! I didn't get to try a canoli or the other Italian desserts but I will my next visit. While visiting Prescott, was taking a stroll through the downtown area and saw the cutest little sign so we had to stop in. It's a very small shop, and due to Covid only one family allowed in at a time. But the smell is amazing and the presentation is adorbs! I love supporting local business so I suggest stopping in and buying a cookie or a dozen! Absolutely delicious desserts! To be honest with you I am usually not into bakery desserts or any bread really unless I am craving haha. I happened to pass by this place with my husband and oh my! This place is very close to the town square, so it's location lends itself well to a lot of tourism. I got a Neapolitan and cinnamon roll there today. I've been here a couple times and I remember the last time I was here the cinnamon roll was not cooked; closer to the center of it was just raw dough. And it happened again this time. Also the person that got the Neapolitan for me put it in a bag which completely destroyed the presentation of it because it got all squished. Found this Bakery in Prescott down town, and it is amazing, the chocolate chip cookies were outstanding, we had great coffee, and I had a Ham and cheese Croissant best I have had in a long long time. The kids got these huge cookies with frosting and sprinkles. I had to go back and get another one for myself. The staff is so friendly and patient while my kids were trying to decide what to order. Like every where else, one must know what item to order. I scored a big 5 by getting the cinnamon rolls, super soft, tasty and yummy but my hubby got a large black and white cookie and he said it was very dry. I told him " you ordered the wrong thing" lol. I guessed because of the pandemic so I didn't see many choices besides the typical bakery items. Only one client or one family at a time allowed to be in this tiny bakery and we were so lucky to get in with no line, we chatted a little with the server who was very happy to assist on a few questions about how the bakery held up with the situation. When I glanced back and saw the line outside of the door , we quick paid and left. My family and I was attracted to this bakery from the smell alone. It felt like it was carrying us in like a cartoon! We were so excited to walk inside and see the assortment of baked goods until it seemed our excitement was a buzz kill for the staff. We greeted the lady behind the counter working that afternoon and didn't get any kind of response (not even a smile). We ordered four chocolate chip cookies and a snickerdoodle but it seemed that we had interrupted something. We probably would have ordered and tried more if it felt more inviting, but we quickly left and didn't get any type of appreciation of business. It was also to my surprise, that when I tried the cookies later I didn't enjoy them. They were not sweet or even semi-sweet. Tasted like an older cookie that was on its way to being stale. It is very rare for me to not finish a cookie, and I personally didn't even eat half of either choc-chip or snickerdoodle. I'm unfortunately leaving a low review and I hop that this bakery can take the feedback and improve. I would love to revisit and be able to update this review. read more
