    Tasting Room.

This is a favorite of mine in Walla Walla. The wines are done in a way that is more European than the Northwestern norm and simply put, they're excellent. Wine is certainly subjective, but this producer has some real gems. From Rose' to deep Syrah's they do not disappoint. Tastings are scheduled by appointment only (most of the time) so call ahead. Service is friendly and professional. The tasting room is eclectic and features log cabin elements and a mix of pictures that are as varied as the wines they offer. I highly recommend a visit if you are in this region.

We stopped by Gramercy on our way into Walla Walla for Spring Release weekend. When we drove up to the building, it reminded me of a saloon. As we walked inside, there was a nice counter with a tiled back wall behind it and seating in front. To my surprise, off to the right and around the room were a very comfortable couch and chairs. As if you are entering a sitting room (well that term dates me). Very inviting and comfy area. Brandon (one of the owners) came out from the back and greeted us. He was very friendly and proceeded to pour us some of their amazing wines. As he was pouring, he told us of their history and story. His partners Greg and Pam Harrington decided to move to Walla Walla in 2004 to produce great Rhône- and Bordeaux-based wines in Washington State. Using the philosophy of great vineyards, small production, minimalist winemaking, time, and patience. Thus producing some beautiful and delicious wines. Greg also achieved Master Sommelier status at age 26 so he knows his wines. I believe the combination of that along with the love of the craft is what makes the wines so special. Needless to say, we purchased a few bottles. And look forward to our next visit.

I would give 6 stars if I could... the tasting room is nice with a bar counter and several plush chairs and a couch. Nichole was serving and was delightful and knowledgeable. The wines were some of the best we tasted all weekend! 6 reds all 91+?! Soooo good. Even better that they support local charities with tasting fees. I am now a wine club member!!

Wow. As soon as we entered, the amazing scents of Gramercy Wine welcomed us. My friends and I intentionally made this the conclusion to our afternoon of tastings because of a guaranteed experience of enjoyment. Brian, fresh with beard, kindly led our demonstration and even snuck in an unlisted tasting of a Syrah. The wine is wonderful. You'll be hard pressed not to leave without a bottle or two. Gramercy has a cool atmosphere that says, "You can leave for the next round of Walla Walla tastings, but why?"

The staff/owner, were incredibly friendly and made us feel truly welcome with her smile The ambience is modern and inviting perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. The restrooms were spotless and stylish, and a thoughtful touch was the dark chocolate in the women's restroom, which was a lovely surprise. I really enjoyed the overall tasting experience. The tasting menu included two reds and one white, all of which were excellent. The most surprising part came at the end, when we were ready to pay and the staff informed us that the tasting was complimentary. We were genuinely shocked and grateful, and we ended up purchasing two bottles.

The good - staff very nice-friendly and knowledgeable. Building and grounds are beautiful but it was too windy to sit outside. What was disappointing was they charge $65 per person per tasting. It's just 3 wines and the food while complimentary... they serve the same amount for one person that they do for 2-3. I mean if we have to pay $65 for each person, they should have individual plates for each person. I would have expected at least 5 wines and individual servings for the price. Not sure if we would come back again unless they changed their tastings and food service.

A Memorable Visit - Warm Hospitality, Great Wine, and Dog-Friendly!…read more We visited Kinhaven on a Sunday around 2pm and were immediately greeted by Chris, who was incredibly friendly, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the wines and their vineyard sites. He took the time to make us feel welcome, ensuring we were comfortable at our shaded table (it was around 95°F!) and never rushed us through the tasting. He even remembered our names and gave great recommendations for nearby dinner spots to check out after our visit. We brought our Australian Shepherd along, and he was warmly welcomed as well. They also have their own adorable winery dog, Monty (possibly a Shih Tzu?), who was mostly inside but made an appearance toward the end of our tasting. He's a bit cautious with other dogs but very sweet. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful setting. We learned Kinhaven also hosts weddings--there had just been one the night before with about 50 guests dining in the orchard. It sounds absolutely picturesque! As for the wines--every single one we tried was impressively good. The $25 per person tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles, which is more than worth it given the quality. Highly recommend visiting--great wine, thoughtful service, and a relaxing, welcoming environment! Exactly what we were looking for!
