3 years in a row my work bbq had Grammy's come to give us donuts. Each year I am blown away, amazing flavor, texture, smell, fluffy dough , all around spectacular. No one else is making beautiful old fashion donuts like this place is. The employees are always so sweet and friendly as well. This donut cart is such a hit at my work there is a super long line the whole event. The way the glaze drips off the donut as it hangs to dry is mesmerizing... beautiful to see. read more

I'm honestly speechless, I can't believe how delicious these donuts are. I tried their Mexican and glazed! absolutely perfect glaze, perfect cinnamon sugar coating and the texture of the dough itself was sooooooo memorable and perfect. It was soft and fluffy, yet had that stretch you get from a dough having the proper timing, care, and technique of letting it rise. I went once. Will not go again. The prices are outrageous! There is nothing so special about them to pay those prices again! In response to you James. I did see the prices before hand and thought they MUST be delicious! But alas they were not! They are heavy and grease laden. I see you parked next to the largest company in our town and I have never seen a customer, let alone a 30 minute line. I think you are mistaken as to who is driving a long way for your Donuts. Now this is something I can rave about! First time going to the Hillsboro Tuesday night market and our friend grabs a donut from Grammy's. He gives us each a piece to try and when I say it blew my mind...I couldn't believe how amazing it tasted! We had the blackberry - It was perfectly chewy with a touch of sweetness. We all enjoyed it so much that we went back and got two more after eating dinner. For those thinking, it's just a donut? The answer is no, it's a donut you've never had before and it'll be the best donut you choose to eat. Kudos to all at Grammy's Donuts for creating such a gem in the dessert world. They are so large and so rich that 1/2 is plenty, and you'll want to savor every bite. Came across this lovely donut stand at a farmers/food cart market (the Portland Mercado) and my friend and I decided we couldn't resist trying one. They were out of the mini donuts but the (very nice) lady at the stand and her daughter assured us that the large donuts were MUCH better any way so naturally we did as any sane person would do and bought the large donut. SUPER tasty, the dough was fluffy and flavorful with a hint of coconut from the coconut oil they fry them in. They only serve old fashion glazed but thats the perfect way to have these donuts. I bet a chocolate ganache version would be hit too... Definitely grab one if you stumble upon this stand! Thanks Grammy! read more

I frequently crave a good glazed donut. I'm in Wilsonville and have been known to drive to Tanasbourne or Portland to Krispy Creme or Blue Star Donuts. The former used have great donuts but now I find they are awful with old oil taste. Blue Star doesn't have plain old glazed donuts. Sooooo, when I went to the Villebois Farmers Market and found Grammy's Old Fashioned Donuts I just had to try one of their huge glazed donuts. They were delicious and awesome!! They are cooked in coconut oil which is better for us and tastes so good. I even took 2 home and refrigerated them in the waxy bags. The next day and day after took one out the fridge and brought it to room temp and it was just as good at the day of purchase. Try them!!! You will not be disappointed :) read more

We saw this cart on Hwy. 212 right past Damascus while on a drive up to Mt. Hood, and decided to stop if it was open when we drove back. If we had known then how absolutely delicious these donuts were then we would not have taken the chance that they might be closed. I don't have anything to compare them to. All other donuts pale in comparison (sorry Blue Star, Pips, St. Honore) My Grandma did NOT make donuts like these! They are the best things I've tasted in a very long time. My husband and I have decided that we'll have to go back often so they don't go out of business during this pandemic--I'm sacrificing my summer body for the good of Grammy's Donuts. Join me! read more
