We love a couple of the Martinsburg area Mexican restaurants, so we tend to compare newcomers to our favorites. This place wasn't better, but we would eat here again, which means we were happy with the quality of our food. Hubs had the chicken fajitas and enjoyed them, and liked that the chicken was in larger pieces than he's used to. My veggie fajitas were quite tasty as well. The atmosphere was pretty nice, and the service was on point. Our only complaints are that there wasn't enough beans, and the tortillas--both corn and flour--were too small, only the size of a bread plate. We will most likely be back. read more

Went for lunch during their soft opening. It was quick and delicious. We ordered the fajita burrito and the super burrito. Both were very good with decent portions, nothing left over. The chips were crunchy and salsa had great flavor with a little spice. Service was wonderful, very attentive. We were seated right away and took some time to review the entire menu but once we ordered the food came out quickly. The lunch menu was on the back, we opted to save the other options for a dinner visit. Great prices, quick service for lunch, beautiful interior. The location isn't well marked and the entrance is a ramp half way down the building from the corner. They have a beautiful bar area to the right with a few indoor and outdoor tables and seating at the bar. To the left is the main dining area with tables and booths and the old bank vault. Excellent food and great service in a relaxing Mexican inspired vibe. I had Texan fajitas and hubby had a spicy shrimp plate. I judge every Mexican restaurant by their chips and salsa. So spicy and yummy! Try this place if you are in this town, I highly recommend. read more

We ordered take out and found our meals disappointing. Both the mahi in my tacos and chicken in my husband's meal were overcooked to tough. The coleslaw for the mahi tacos was made with red cabbage so it made unappetizing blue grey drips and streaks. read more

Negative Stars if this app allowed it!!!! Just went to this restaurant today for the first time and will never return even if they paid me to eat there! I ordered a Sweet Tea; chips & queso; & a chicken quesadilla. The chips were stale and the queso was cold and nasty. (Never made it to the Dilla) Started to drink the Sweet Tea through a straw and I sucked up something from the bottom of the glass that was like soap or cleaner or something nasty and I immediately spit it out! It was absolutely horrendous, disgusting and freaked me out. We tried to cancel our food order and they acted like they couldn't speak English and refused to get us a refund. We didn't even eat it; unbelievable! What a terrible experience! Thats not how you treat people; Stay Away! Or roll the dice; up to you! read more

We ordered to go since I didn't have time to dine in. We went with the fish, steak and carnitas tacos. The tacos were delicious and the tortillas were perfect. The green and red salsa were AMAZING. The chips needed salt but no big deal. Very happy to have a good Mexican restaurant in town since I'm not a fan of the other Tex-Mex place in town. Very delicious. Can't wait to dine in. Great food and a wide range of order selection. Many Mexican restaurants over season and over salt, but not this one. The chips are served warm with a delicious lightly salted and flavorful salsa. The salsa verde comes with enchilada is also very delicious that's why I asked for an extra side of it. Wasn't told about the added price until I saw the receipt though. Cute and roomy indoor sitting with Mexican style colorful furnishings. The service is on point although could be smoother. Music adds to the ambience a lot. Not sure about what was played on the tv. I don't like to see commercials. Will come back with friends! read more

I really wanted to like this place. Nice decor and good service. However, the food and drink had issues. The beef chimichanga I ordered had little to no flavor, the beef was as dry as last Sunday's potroast, the shell was dark brown (obviously overcooked), and the side frejoles were flavorless; texture with no taste. The accompanying guacamole was dark brown, overexposed to oxygen from being left out too long. The house margaritas was watery. I wanted one of the speciality margaritas from the menu, but no one there knew how to make them. Sad. I had really hoped for better. read more

Great food and drink. Moderately priced. Had guacamole with our chips and salsa. Guacamole was perfect, salsa perfectly spicy. Chicken al pastor and shrimp tacos were our meals and everything was very tasty. Grill on the chicken and shrimp just right. Several people waited on us. Very fast service and everyone very nice. A great addition to the Shepherdstown area! Located in the Yellow Bank building, the owners did an extensive renovation to the space and the results are fabulous.
