We met my son and girlfriend for lunch here. My son suggested this restaurant. It was my first time eating here and it was worth every minute and dollar. The food here is excellent. We have been to numerous Mexican restaurants in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. I rank this among one of the best among them. I enjoy Tex Mex and traditional Mexican food and most of the time I'm not usually overly impressed with most of the food. The menu is very extensive and larger than I have seen at many other Mexican restaurants. My wife and I had the arroz con Pollo (rice and chicken) bowl. It was excellent. The chicken and rice were both moist and tender and not too spicy. Portion sizes were ver generous. We had enough leftovers to have another lunch at home. I like that they offer a lower priced lunch menu, without sacrificing quantity or quality. The service was excellent. Our server was very sweet and friendly and offered suggestions on what to try. She was very attentive and checked on us regularly. There are plenty of booths and tables with each seating four people comfortably. There is a small bar at the front of the restaurant on the right side as you enter. They offer beer and mixed drinks as well as soft drinks. The dining area is colorfully and cheerfully decorated The dining area and bathrooms were very clean. There is an adequate sized parking lot. I easily recommend this restaurant for its quality food, friendly staff, cheerful decor and extensive menu. read more

Greeted at the door by a friendly hostess. She was helpful getting my mom seated and even stored her walker out of the way. Our server I believe was Giselle and she was great also. Friendly and helpful. Mom got the single taco with beans, rice etc. she said it was delicious and practically cleaned her plate. I got the Mexican pizza it was huge and delicious as well. Update 6/16/26.I will be honest and say that this isn't my favorite mexican restaurant in the Hagerstown area, but it is the closest to me. I went for lunch today. Ordered the lunch portion chimichanga with ground beef filling with sides is rice, refried beans some Pico and sour cream. Pros... it was a decent sized chimichanga with a generous amount of seasoned ground beef in a taco seasoned sauce. The server (Gizelle?) was friendly and very attentive. She did a great job! Not so great... the chimichanga was rather tough. Took more effort that mermaid to cut into it with a fork. The filling as noted was generously filled, though the added sauce mace the filling rather "saucy"... more like a Mexican sloppy joe. Including tip and a soft drink my bill came to $20 for lunch. This place is consistently great! I've dined in, ordered takeout, and even gotten delivery through DoorDash, and every single experience has been great. My order is always correct, which says a lot, and they genuinely try to accommodate special requests--even on takeout and delivery orders. The food is always flavorful and delicious no matter how you get it. The 3-item combo is such a great value -- generous portions, tons of variety, and everything on the plate is always spot on. And the fiesta nachos are one of our favs! Loaded with chicken, beef, and shrimp plus basically every topping you can think of. I also really appreciate that they include complimentary chips and salsa, even with takeout and delivery. It's such a nice touch and shows they care about their customers. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. This has definitely become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend! Ambiance of the restaurant is nice, lower lighting, and there's also a bar. Went out to dinner with the family and it was a great experience. Unfortunately we didn't look at the menu prior but we had a seafood allergy and a lot of their menu is seafood so my dad was limited on what he could get but the server worked with him to make sure he could get something that wouldn't be a problem. The portions were well worth the price. I got the fajita burrito and it tasted amazing! The portions was huge and I was only able to eat about 1/4 of it so I have lunch for the next day. read more

I had lunch at Fajita Grande today with one of my friends. I have eaten here quite a lot over the years and truly feel as if it is the best Tex Mex restaurant in the Hagerstown area. The biggest thing that stands out to me regarding the food is the flavor. It actually HAS flavor. The ground beef that is used tastes amazing. The spices are on point. Everything at the restaurant is fresh and that shines through in the flavor of the food. Aside from the food being amazing- so is the service! We had a server today named Kassandra. She was extremely friendly and beyond knowledgeable about the menu which is something that I very much appreciate. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting. Every day of the week, there is a special and on Monday (all day long) margaritas are only $1.99!!! I highly recommend Fajita Grande! You won't be disappointed!! read more

The last straw was the Chile rellenos which was not a whole stuffed pepper but instead consisted of a chopped pepper with cheese merely shaped like a pepper. I am at a total loss as to how this place has such a current high rating. It's honestly not overly clean looking. Our booth seat was all torn and had black duct tape trying to mask the issue. The table was somewhat sticky to the touch. Our server was decent. Friendly and smiled. Very polite. The food.....definitely nothing I would come in for again!! The chips were definitely not fresh. The salsa was just ok. Super chunky. Large pieces of tomato and onion. I ordered the flaunta/taco combo. The Flaunta was very soft. Almost like they had cooked it earlier and just microwaved it. The taco was not very good at all. The meat had big chunks of onion and green pepper. Not very flavorful and not like the normal taco meat you usually get. The refried beans were horrible. Like the consistency of baby food. No whole beans in it. My daughter ordered tacos and wasn't even able to eat hers. The meat in her actually had an off taste like it was old. My daughter only ate half of one taco and not the second one. I ate half of my flaunta and took one bite of my taco. The server never asked if something was wrong. He just cleared our plates and brought us the check. I would definitely not recommend stopping here. There are other options in Hagerstown that are far better. read more

For the first time since coming to Fajita Grande I have something negative. Food was great as usual but service from Kendall C. left something to be desired. As someone who has previously waited tables I know it can be tough but at least don't say " I'm sorry about the service but I'm burnt out". At least come back and ask if food is okay and seeing if another drink is wanted/needed and don't forget always ask about desert to upsell. Tip is reflected in service 15% is starting point. The very best meal I have had in awhile!! OMG we enjoyed the evening so much that we toasted a shot of Fireball Whiskey for dessert and happily rolled our selves out the door because we were SO Full!!! The waitress, hostess, the bar company around us was the best we have had in Hagerstown and the food was the most authentic Mexican you can eat! Visiting our daughter who moved to Hagerstown recently, we've been trying various restaurants in the area on each visit. Found Fajita Grande, and we're so happy. We live out of state & are Mexican food fans, so being so close, we popped in for dinner. While not the broadest menu, what this restaurant delivers is EXCELLENT food & service. All of the servers are outgoing, friendly & provide great service. Each item that we've tried during our 2 visits have been terrific. It's not a large restaurant, but the atmosphere is casual, family style and relaxing. We would highly recommend Fajita Grande in Hagerstown Maryland to anyone that enjoys great Mexican food at a very reasonable price. And, if they recommend a specialty drink to you, try it.
