My husband and I bought our couch, mattress, bed frame, and coffee table from Granada Furniture. We are very happy! David took care of us throughout the whole process. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered our furniture earlier this month. The couch, coffee table, and mattress arrived in 2.5 weeks which I feel was on the faster side of shipping times. We paid $100 for delivery and 2 nice gentleman delivered/assembled everything for us. They even took our old mattress and old bed frame for us. I ordered many items. Keep in mind, they are not a manufacturer. They are a distributor. So you can order from about 50 different manufacturers, and pay a lower price than those that have nice showrooms. For example, you can get Ashley furniture, ordered directly from Ashley, for much less than buying from an Ashley showrooom! Granada's showroom was tiny, crampt, and really only suitable for an impulse buy. It seems they are best set up for online type browsing, and they only have on-site, a small subset of what is available. You really need to browse online before even visiting. Expect honesty, and a willingness to go above and beyond, but not so much when it comes to knowledge. You do, get a lower price than those pricey showrooms for often the same furniture. Everything was great. They would get 5 stars, except for the bed fiasco. I ordered the wrong size bed as part of a pricey bedroom set. While Granada Furniture did ultimately solve the issue, I had to pay another $125 for what I consider to be equally their mistake. How so? After all, I ordered the wrong size. My mistake, right? In part. They should not have assumed I knew the differences between eastern, western, and California king sizes, and that I knew which one my current bed was. Apparently, it happens all the time. When they came to install the bed, they should have not done so, seeing that my current bed that was sitting right in the room, was the incorrect size. The correct thing to do was at ordering time. Instead of taking my word for the "size", which uses words from the furniture business such as "eastern king", "western king", etc. was to ask about my current box spring and mattress, and ask me to measure them, before even placing the order. Instead, they took me at my word, and when the wrong size bed arrived, they squeezed my current box spring into the bed and left an 8" gap at the end of the bed between the box spring and the foot board. Within 1 hour, I called and indicated the bed was the wrong size, that I had ordered the wrong bed, and asked how much to switch it out with the correct size. $1000 I was told, essentially having to buy a new bed because they could not return the bed they just set up. Or it was suggested, perhaps buy a new mattress and box spring to match the bed. Those weren't good options, and after having spent thousands, I didn't want to be left with a bed that was the wrong size and part of a bedroom set. After a few days, I spoke to the owner. He made some calls, and got back to me. He said I could get new side rails to make the bed shorter, at my cost. I selected that option. By luck, the new side rails also revealed the bed would be wider as well, because it came without the pieces of wood that narrow the frame. Those guys selling the bed really should have known that this was all I needed from the start, but I guess you can't expect the dealer (Granada) to know these kinds of details. So in the end, the bed became the exact right size. About the bed itself. Who was the brilliant designer that made the foot board of the bed with spikey edges sticking out, so that every time I walk by in the night and brush up against it, I get a bruise in the thigh! Buyer beware, and don't expect the dealer to warn you. See photos. read more

On 12/19 I went into the store looking for a recliner as I was having Knee and shoulder surgery on December 31. I spoke with Young Dave in the store and we looked at recliners that I felt would work best for me due to me having to sleep in a recliner for six weeks after my surgeries. I would be having a huge brace on my arm with a metal bar attached And another metal brace around my waist attached to this for stability. This would make it almost impossible to sleep in a bed and it would need to in the recliner for six weeks full-time. The recliner in the store I that wanted had high puffy armrests and a deep seat so it was comfortable enough to sleep in. This specific recliner was not able to be delivered by December 30th in time for my surgery on the 31st. Young Dave told me he could order me one that was comparable to the one on the floor. I came back to the store on 12/22 when the recliner Young Dave has recommended came in. It was in a box however was not set up for me to sit on and see if it was comparable to the recliner I wanted on the floor. Since I was told it was comparable, I paid the $490 for the chair and asked them to deliver it on 12/28. I paid $40 for delivery and I gave the nice delivery man another $20 tip. I tried it out overnight and went back into the store on 12/29. Young Dave was not there that day and Older Dave who was there told me that Young Dave was the was the owner of the store . He said Young Dave would be back in on Monday 12/30 the day before my surgery on 12/31. I tried to explain to Older Dave that this recliner was not comparable to the one I saw in the store and would not work out for what I purchased it for. He did not listen to what I was saying and kept on cutting me off when I was trying to explain that I would have to sleep in this chair for six weeks and this one was not comfortable enough and large enough for me to sleep in . He was looking online through many, many pages to try to find one recliner that would be comparable to the one in the store. After sitting there for quite some time He said he would have Young Dave call me on 12/30. I never got a call back from Young Dave so I am assuming that Older Dave never let Young Dave know that I had called and had an issue with this chair and wanted to speak with him. I guess being a female senior does not warrant respect. .I did not go back in the store on the 30th or call Young Dave as I was trying to wrap up everything I could prior to my surgery the next day as I would not have any use of my right arm for six weeks and not be able to drive for six weeks.In order to even sit in this chair for a long periods of time I have to put a big pillow behind my back and stacks of pillows on each of the armrests so that my arm with the shoulder brace can rest comfortably at the correct height. Since I've been dealing with healing and the pain after my surgery I have not had the time or energy to call Young Dave back to discuss this. I'm sitting here with a chair that I paid almost $500 for that was not what I requested. Very very disappointed I cannot sleep in the chair at all so I have to try to sleep in my bed for a few hours a night with this Arm/shoulder mental brace wrapped around my neck and a metal bar around my waist. I have to sleep on my other side in my bed however this bar pokes into my ribs and this is the reason I can only sleep for a couple hours each night. I purchased a recliner in the first place so I could sit upright and sleep comfortably .Today is the first day I feel comfortable enough and not in so much pain that I've been able to type up this review. I would really like this chair returned with no extra charges or cancellation fees. I was hoping to talk to Young Dave prior to my surgery to try and find a better solution.
