So we visited The Sleep Shoppe in order to narrow down options. The salesman, Michael, was friendly and helpful. He gave us recommendations for Casper and other brands based on the features we were looking for, and we were able to rest on a bunch of different mattresses without feeling rushed or pressured to buy. We finally decided on the Casper Snow Max since it had the level of comfort and cooling that we wanted. Casper was doing a discount for the holidays, and the in-store price was the same as on Casper's website, so we felt good about purchasing from the store. Michael even threw in a free quality mattress topper that has its own cooling that pairs well with the Snow Max. Delivery was completed within a reasonable time frame. Overall, we had a great buying experience here, and the new mattress was money well spent!

Their warranty was pretty good, plus they give a 365 day trial. I was so hoping their mattress would be to our liking, but we never got used to it - so we called and arranged for return. I must say that process was hassle-free which we greatly appreciated. So just about 2 weeks ago, we went over to Ultra Bed to try to find a replacement. My main reason for going there was to see some of the brands that are mainly carried online, They have an impressive showroom displaying many different brands. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by Dr. Rick who formerly practiced as a chiropractor. We told him what we were looking for, and he shared his experience trying to create a mattress that would meet his clients' needs. Over the past 20 years he worked on developing his line of Back Science mattresses. After educating us on the different mattress qualities, Rick recommended we try the BackFlex series. My husband was concerned the mattress would be too soft. Rick assured us that they could make adjustments decreasing or increasing firmness in our home. We decided on the BackFlex3 and placed our order. We were told it would take about 6-8 business days. We got a call on Wednesday that our mattress was ready and would be delivered on Friday. As promised, the mattress arrived promptly and the delivery men set it up. They were professional and friendly. Last night I melted into my bed! I absolutely LOVE it after night #1! I definitely did not feel that way about the Saatva. I am looking forward to enjoying much better sleep on my new mattress and am so happy to have found the Ultrabed store!! Ultrabed also offers a 365 day trial plus their warranty is 30 years! Temperpedic is only a 10 yr and is much more expensive! I doubt very much that we will return this mattress but it's reassuring to know Rick stands behind his products!! We are very happy customers!! I am unable to purchase "run of the mill" mattresses due to anaphylaxis from latex and asthmatic reactions to VOC off-gassing. Due to the aforementioned issues, I opted to visit Sharon. My husband and I decided on the Naturepedic Chorus mattress. This was in April of 2021. Fast forward to August 2025. The mattress had weird sagging and was hurting my back. It came with a 20 year warranty through Naturepedic, so I opened a claim with them...and I'm sorry I did. I wish I would've gone straight to Sharon but I made an assumption because the warranty is under the company, not the authorized retailer. Naturepedic was awful to deal with but Sharon more than made up for that by having a new replacement mattress delivered, set up, and took receipt of the prior mattress. The products sold by Snoozzz are truly high quality, safer for the chemical sensitive population, and the pricing is in line with the quality. At the end of the day it's impossible to put a price tag on your health. My husband and I are loyal to Snoozzz and won't go anywhere else. Thank you Sharon!

As we tried each mattress our questions were answered. We sought out a firm mattress. It was challenging to make an informed decision however, when Michael told us that the mattresses were refundable and could be returned within 30 days if for some reason it wasn't what we had in mind, that seemed like a good selling point. To us it seemed it very clear that we could exchange the mattress with ease. Fast forward, after a week I felt the mattress was too firm, felt as thought I was sleeping on the floor. I called the store and Michael told me the mattress will loosen up in time, it would be helpful to have our grandkids come over and jump on the mattress. Really? He then went on to tell me, ' Well, you liked it in the store ' . He also said much to our surprise that there was restocking fee which is 15% of the cost of the mattress. That's was news to me as well as to my hubby. Michael went on to say it was written on the back of my receipt. Maybe so I told him, however, it wasn't mentioned at the time. The only thing he had stressed to us was the ease of their return policy. Had we known about the restocking fee, we would have taken more time in making our choice. Neither my hubby nor myself heard about any restocking fee while we were there, that's for sure. So if you chose to shop here, make sure you get ALL the details about their return policy. Not happy about the way this transaction was handled and for that reason do not recommend The Sleep Shoppe.

All that changed when we decided to limit our shopping for beds to The Sleep Shoppe. First of all, the place is literally a sea of beds. They are there for you to try out. They all have pillows. The sales people are knowledgeable and patient. Even with kids bouncing on beds in the background. Or, to be accurate, bouncing from bed to bed to bed. Having the sea of mattresses allows you to figure out what is really comfortable for you, physically and financially. The difference between a $1,200 and $5,200 bed seems like it should be vast, but it's really not, at least in the showroom. Maybe once you get it home. Anyway, all of the beds in our house are from The Sleep Shoppe. We are happy and returning customers!

The salespeople could have been better at guiding a customer who knew very little about mattresses in the right direction. Enter Steve, the owner of 805 Mattresses Pros. He explained the various products that he sells and the benefits of each of them. He took time to go through everything and by the time I was done I knew exactly what I wanted to get for the rooms. The store itself is kind of off of the main streets in Simi Valley but easy enough to find. He has a good selection of mattresses that are priced much lower that the other stores that I visited. It's really hard to justify spending over $5000 on a mattress for a guest bedroom which seemed to be the starting price of a decent mattresses at the other stores.
