I am so grateful to have found this place!! We had been researching mattresses to find which are the best. Online, Saata reviews were impressive, especially reviews about customer service. Their warranty was pretty good, plus they give a 365 day trial. I was so hoping their mattress would be to our liking, but we never got used to it - so we called and arranged for return. I must say that process was hassle-free which we greatly appreciated. So just about 2 weeks ago, we went over to Ultra Bed to try to find a replacement. My main reason for going there was to see some of the brands that are mainly carried online, They have an impressive showroom displaying many different brands. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by Dr. Rick who formerly practiced as a chiropractor. We told him what we were looking for, and he shared his experience trying to create a mattress that would meet his clients' needs. Over the past 20 years he worked on developing his line of Back Science mattresses. After educating us on the different mattress qualities, Rick recommended we try the BackFlex series. My husband was concerned the mattress would be too soft. Rick assured us that they could make adjustments decreasing or increasing firmness in our home. We decided on the BackFlex3 and placed our order. We were told it would take about 6-8 business days. We got a call on Wednesday that our mattress was ready and would be delivered on Friday. As promised, the mattress arrived promptly and the delivery men set it up. They were professional and friendly. Last night I melted into my bed! I absolutely LOVE it after night #1! I definitely did not feel that way about the Saatva. I am looking forward to enjoying much better sleep on my new mattress and am so happy to have found the Ultrabed store!! Ultrabed also offers a 365 day trial plus their warranty is 30 years! Temperpedic is only a 10 yr and is much more expensive! I doubt very much that we will return this mattress but it's reassuring to know Rick stands behind his products!! We are very happy customers!! We had a fantastic experience at Ultra Bed this past Friday. We actually walked in just minutes before closing, not realizing the time, but Hogan didn't rush us at all. Instead, he welcomed us in and took the time to genuinely help. He stayed late to walk us through different options, answered all of our questions, and made the entire process feel easy and comfortable. His customer service was truly top-notch, and he was incredibly personable throughout. We ended up purchasing a mattress, and a big reason why was Hogan's kindness and professionalism. Honestly, you shouldn't buy a bed unless you shop here! The showroom is enormous and you can try every type of mattress there is. I always feel you should try out your mattress before you buy it. We tried out many before deciding on the one we liked. There are two floors of mattresses. The sales people are all kind and there is no pressure. The owner, Dr Rick, is extremely knowledgeable and is eager to help you without pressuring you to buy. We actually left without buying to check out other stores. We ran into high pressure sales that was an automatic turn off. The next week we came back and ordered our bed. The delivery people, Raymond and other gentleman could not have been nicer. They even went far and above to fit the bedspread skirt that was too long. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could! read more

I purchased a Back Science Series 2 mattress for more than $3,000 from Ultrabed Mattress Store in Agoura Hills. At the time of purchase, the owner informed me that the store policy allowed unlimited mattress exchanges within one year. Due to ongoing back pain experienced by both my wife and me, I exchanged the mattress twice. Despite these exchanges, the mattress continued to cause discomfort and failed to provide adequate support. As a result, we purchased a mattress from a different store in Orange County, which has worked exceptionally well for us. I later contacted the Ultrabed owner via email. He eventually called me and stated that he would exchange my mattress for one that was exactly the same as the mattress we purchased in Orange County. On December 18, 2025, two employees from Ultrabed arrived at my home. I was under the impression that they were there to exchange the mattress. Instead, they opened the mattress and removed the internal foam layers, replacing them with different foam materials that I had never seen before. This was shocking and unacceptable. Considering the mattress cost over $3,000, the materials used appeared to be of significantly lower quality. Dr Rick Sent his crew and they made 2 separate beds out of it. Mind blown! Then I ordered a custom headboard and I felt it was too tall. My fault but no problem! My family had an outstanding experience at Ultrabed. We are moving from Thousand Oaks to Agoura Hills and saw this store right off the 101. Our mattress is 12 years old, daughter outgrew hers, and with my wife's parents moving in with us we were in the market for 3 mattresses. We stopped in to see what they had and Luna warmly greeted us and showed us a brand we had previously. She was everything you could ask for, she was kind, genuine, asked great questions, very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and wasn't pushy. We purchased a Airloom m2 plush+ from Rick here with topper which I'd probably argue is their best mattress in the store. Unfortunately the king size did not fit up our stairway so Ultrabed had to take it back. Rick worked with us on getting a split king. It cost more, but I believe we got a fair deal. The mattress was pretty firm after sleeping on it for a few weeks which was causing discomfort and we have a newborn arriving soon. I wanted to make sure our new mattress was as dialed in as possible before the baby arrives because we would be spending a lot of time in it. I reached back out to rick and they took the the mattress back and ran it through a machine to break it in while returning it back the same day. Rick came with the delivery to make sure everything was ok which I dont think you could get a better white glove delivery service than that. I could say I'm very satisfied after sleeping in it and I would definitely be referring people to Rick and be a return customer. This is the type of place and service where its like to have that 1on1 relationship with the business and they actually respect your concerns. My spouse has a connective tissue disorder (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) that causes sleep discomfort, even to the point of experiencing rib dislocations if sleeping in the wrong position. Mattresses are an expensive purchase that are not easily returned if the product doesn't suit your needs. Because of the disorder, online reviews do not apply and forums that focus on this disorder led to mattress recommendations and purchases that did not work for my spouse. Luna was our salesperson and Dr. Rick Swartzburg, the owner, spent so much time with us to understand the health concerns and find the best product for this specific need. They directed us to the Back Science mattress that Dr. Swartzburg developed, and they were not wrong. We have had this mattress for almost a year, and I feel confident in giving this mattress and Ultrabed my highest recommendation. My spouse has never slept better, and the dislocations have ceased. I am an able-bodied back and side sleeper, and this mattress provides the firmness I prefer in the right spots, and eases any hip or shoulder discomfort from a mattress being too firm. So impressed by Ultrabed. We purchased what we thought would be the right mattress for us after extensive online research. The cost was competitive and customer service excellent. Delivery was fast and friendly as well. Unfortunately, we chose poorly for our needs and went back. We spoke with Rick who listened to our nuances (back, hip, shoulder aches) and spoke to us about the BackScience mattress. The exchange was remarkably easy and we were actually refunded several hundred dollars difference. About two months later I inquired about the possibility of softening it ever so slightly. Rick listened intently again and came out to swap just one internal layer of the mattress. I must say, it is now the best mattress I've ever slept on. Yesterday, I emailed about foundations. Instead of pushing us to necessarily buy the TruePlatform, Rick explained how to examine my existing foundation to determine if I actually need a new one. I would like to preface this review with the statement I am the proverbial princess and the pea. I also believe a mattress is an investment in your comfort and sanity. I had a Tempurpedic once, an very expensive mistake. I have laid on Mlily, Wink Blue, Nectar, Helix, Saatva, Bear and Brooklyn Bedding. I then found Ultrabed by accident. I stopped by on my way to LA to try more mattresses. I'm glad I did. I tried some of the above brands but ended up trying the ULTRABED Back Science 2 brand. I was torn between the ULTRABED firm and 2. The salesman showed me a demonstration he did on a Sterns and Foster and the ULTRABED 2. The ULTRABED supported his spine in complete alignment unlike the Sterns and Foster. That got my attention. Then Dr. Rick the designer of the mattress came in and he shared his extensive knowledge and the technology that goes into his Back science line. Being a chiropractor he has a knowledge base that he has poured into his designs to provide a supportive mattress that allows for true spinal alignment. I learned about his patented multiple density support layers which allows him to make sure you are properly supported yet comfortable. After laying on the mattress for a long time in the showroom I realized I was needing more support in my hip area. Dr. Rick personally redesigned that section of mattress with a denser foam that supported me properly. A huge bonus is the mattress is very low VOC and green guard gold certified. I don't know of anyone else who does this. The white glove service was top notch, the delivery men were nice and professional. Once I slept on it I was truly satisfied with the comfort and support. Unfortunately the mattress kept sliding down on my adjustable base. I contacted Ultrabed and Dr. Rick called me to trouble shoot and he designed a bolster that closed the gap between my mattress and headboard for a reasonable price. Dr. Rick truly pours his heart and soul to make sure every customer is 100% satisfied with their mattress. Most mattress companies have a sinkage depth of 1 1/2 inches in their warranty, ULTRABED is 3/4 inch. Plus their warranty is an unprecedented 30 years. I cannot recommend this company enough.
