I bought a new refrigerator several months ago. When they took it out of the box, it had clear and obvious dents. I saw it right away but didn't say anything. I waited to see what they would do. The delivery people pointed it out to me. He called the store to let them know. I was given options.... Take a very small discount, get new doors, or get a new frig. Because of the small discount offered I asked for new doors. I have been given the run around ever since. No new doors in several months. And now they won't return my texts or calls. After our experience with Grand Appliance we would never purchase from them again. We also would never recommend them. We purchased a washing machine and a dryer. The first delivery We received two dryers. The dryer blew out the electrical outlet. They already had our old appliances in the truck. They took both dryers back. The next day they brought only a washer and installed it. 4 days later they finally brought a dryer back. The real problem is that sales and service never followed up with us in a timely basis. I bought a dishwasher from GA a couple years ago. It was a great experience from show room to delivery. I went back to replace a microwave, range and refrigerator. The associate started off with chippy questions about what I wanted. I should have said never-mind and moved on. The entire experience was like dealing with a used car salesman. So different than my first experience, not to mention that the list price does not include delivery, install etc. It is fortunate that I left. I recently called Grand Appliance and talked with sales rep Scott. He kindly took the time to go over on the phone the different types of Speed Queen washers. After I got back from my vacation, I promptly went in and met up with Scott to see which machine would suit my needs. I was very impressed with price, I thought it was a great value, considering people on average purchase washers more often than they need to. You may pay more for a Speed Queen, however in the long run it will last you much longer. Scott was so nice to work with as well. We were first-time buyers at this appliance store and our experience was far from good. We purchased two kitchen appliances. To begin with, the questions and requests made to the store via email regarding the purchase and coordination of the delivery were poorly addressed; to the point that we felt were a nuisance to the business. We had issues with the delivery of one of the appliances, and a second delivery had to be scheduled for a fault in one of the them; and following-up on this delivery required a phone call and an an email from us to the business on different days. No follow-up (at all) on their part, and not even an apology! The staff is very friendly, but my husband and I felt that we didn't matter as customers once the sale was locked (and we bought two major appliances!) I have been a customer of this business for years but that will no longer be the case. I purchased a new Maytag washer in October, 2024 which "failed" in January, 2025. The repair person quoted me a price of $584 for the replacement part and recommended replacing the washer which I did. Grand told me that they would do nothing because I did not allow Maytag to address. They assumed no responsibility for selling me a new washer that lasted 4 months. To explain the two stars first had everything to do with the sub-par to less customer service experience of snippiness . In trying to buy an appliance when asking a question like "May I speak with (so & so)", I got a abrupt of "You may not!". Then I had to ask when I could speak with them and was only told the day of with no details of time range or best times to call. This kind of snippiness & rudeness is not worth the time. Regarding their products, they either seem to have everything if not on the shelf but stored in their "factories". But their products are sold at a $10-$50 higher price than if you called your Home Depot, Ace Hardwares, and Best Buys... Also their warranties seem to charge significantly higher by 25-50% more than the other stores I mention right before. They are an authorized retailer of brands, and much like authorized agents they are more sales-oriented with their own contracts so with any issues you will get a lot more run around with having to call different providers. And like a cell phone & other kiosk authorized retailers they are very sales-oriented to close the deal than anything. read more

Purchased a slide-in range from GA in May of 2025. We were pleased with the sales and delivery (very courteous) until we found the range sticks out about 2-1/2 inches from the counter(we gave them the measurements of the opening) and I cannot fully open the dishwasher door. It has been 5 weeks since delivery. We returned to the store to see if we could purchase a range that would fit and salesman said they would lose money on resale. He suggested we have the granite countertop cut out at our expense and gave us the name of someone who could do it. We called 3 times and no return call. Bought an electric range from them December of 2024 and spent the extra money for an extended warranty coverage. February 20, 2025 the touch screen on the front started to malfunction and was almost to the point of unable to use and we tried reaching out for a warranty claim. To this day (April 18, 2025) it has been nothing but frustrating trying to get any answers about what they are going to do to fix this or send someone out to help. We have called multiple times a week and spent literal HOURS on hold and have been hung up on by store associates. At this point i just either want my money back or a new stove, i will never recommend this store to friends or family. read more

Always video the delivery people when they enter your home. My appliances were bought from Grand Appliance. We were not informed that they subcontract for deliveries. When my appliances were delivered, they scratched my brand new floor. The company claimed they used straps to install the appliances, but they did not. There is a large scratch spanning 8-10 tiles that were scratched in the path of how my refrigerator was installed. Since I do not have video evidence, their insurance will do nothing about the damage. I do have 3 eye witnesses and the scratch but that is not enough proof. The delivery people are not being honest. They are not supposed to use a dolly but they did. I am out thousands of dollars to replace part of a brand new floor that had been in place for less than 24 hours. I have spent the last 2 months going back and forth with Grand Appliance Customer Service, the delivery company and Progressive. It has been a waste of my time and energy. Please be sure to read the last sentence. We purchase a new refrigerator a few weeks ago from the Brookfield store. While I was not home when it was delivered, I came home to a big disappointment. The 1st thing I noticed was the righthand door was not square with the left, then when I opened the door I saw scotch tape holding the control panel in place. I asked my wife about the control panel and she told me it fell out when they opened the door, the delivery person told her to tape it in and they would figure out how to fix it. So after 3 days I questioned why the ice bin only had about a dozen ice cubes in it, it should have been full. So we contacted Frigidaire warranty service and when the look at it they saw take there was a valve or something on the ice maker that was broken allowing water to run out on our floor for days. The service tech determined that the refrigerator had been dropped or damaged somehow that twisted the frame and the it was junk. So now we wait for a replacement with no delivery date in sight, even though Frigidaire acknowledged an August 1st delivery. Personally Grand Appliance should have seen these issues and never left this piece of junk in our house. But the biggest disappointment is that Grand Appliance seams to have washed their hands of the whole thing and won't ever return my phone calls. Next time I think I will go somewhere else. read more

I needed all new appliances. My designer had pre chosen for me . The sale was great from there it was Downhill! The delivery lacked a water hose so no hook up. They lied about the hose and did not make good on the promise to get me a hose asap. I spent over 20,000$ and will never use them again! My designer told them all about the job and no one ever listened so it took two days! Horrible experience Scott was a good salesman but terrible follow thru. read more

The following is from an email I sent to the manager of the Grand Appliance BROOKFIELD, WI location. I realize Covid was an issue at the time; however, when communication is a problem or promises are made and not fulfilled it becomes an issue. ...October 2020-June 2021... In October 2020 we did some updating of our kitchen. We had new countertops, sink and faucet installed. *Shout out to Cabinetree, Brookfield* We purchased a Subzero, a Thermador cooktop with downdraft from Grand. Cabinetree did their thing right away. Eight months later we were still waiting for our downdraft installation. Even when this would get done we had yet another issue of routing the downdraft exhaust to an oddly placed vent (the builder of the house's design, I guess). Getting the order expedited was a piece of cake, of course, but getting the installation organized was a nightmare.  The Hispanic guys (wish I remembered names) who installed the subzero were great! I think they may have been contracted out. They went out of their way to get it done. There was an adjustment that needed to be made to the subzero and I needed to get a plumber before it could be hooked up and I got one within an hour! I was told they'd come back if that happened since we were on their way home and they did return around 7:30PM after dropping off their truck at the Sturtevant warehouse. We are in Sussex, they were from West Bend. It was completed around 8:30PM. Very impressed. SO - Is it customary procedure for SALES guys to rarely follow up to keep us in the know, unless we ask a question?  Is it customary for INSTALLERS to suggest we call him and then not return our calls? Is it customary for installers to ignore sales guys calls?  All we got were excuses and promises! We also had the WRONG downdraft (not known at the time) sitting in our living room for 4-5 months, then were told there was one sitting in the warehouse so they could proceed...but it ended up being given to someone whose work was "older" than ours, a new one ordered and another month+ passed, and it sat at their showroom until the installer could come out (the ONLY one who could do this, I'd been told, because it's COMPLICATED). He was finally scheduled to be here June 21, 2021 and I waited but he did not call or show up! When we were initially waiting for the downdraft installation, we were told we were going to be "squeezed in" between other jobs, presumably because it was a quick installation. That went on for some time and being squeezed in became unacceptable. We were told by sales he'd get us "on the books." Don't know if that ever actually happened. When the installer finally did come was when we realized we had not only the wrong downdraft but the wrong color. ???!!! More delay. We were told we were eligible for a 10% rebate on the subzero. It took a couple weeks for sales to get us the link to where we could do that. When we finally got the link we found out we needed the old subzero S/N which we didn't have. Not in old paperwork and old fridge was trashed by now. Sales said he'd take care of it (famous last words). Weeeeeks later and more reminders, supposedly a check was sent. We did NOT receive anything. After all that, in the end, we got 5% rebate! ??? We DID try calling the manager at one point but did not receive a call back. I'm sure we were not the only upset customers but really, this was getting very old. I'd seen plenty of unhappy reviews. That should be a big concern. Wish I had looked at them first. Lesson learned. Look for reviews. We were never given updates unless I texted sales and prodded. Then I got:  "I will make sure we get this rectified. I will give you an update tomorrow; I'll get back to you first thing" (rarely happened; no explanation) I will get you a credit for this inconvenience as well" (referring to downdraft installation) "I know it's been a long process, but you have my word I'll take care of it  Ok, on it, I'll call my rep have an answer by tomorrow" (never heard from him) "I got this! You can count on me! My reputation is on this." June 25, 2021. Sales suggested they'd get someone else to install downdraft if he couldn't get this installer to do it. Two others came at one point and said it looked complicated and why this particular installer would be the one to do it. So there we go. Crickets...... In the end we contacted a business associate of my husband and a metalworker came out to do the vent. The way he did it was less complicated than the "only" guy who was going to do it proposed. It took an hour. We will not be recommending Grand and we will not be making future purchases from them. Many have heard our story. How a well known business could operate like this is beyond us. Really lousy service, at least from the guys at the Brookfield store. Dont interrupt them during lunch time either. They apparently dont like customers browsing over the lunch hour. Actually, it's ok to browse, just dont expect any assistance. Anyway, bought an appliance that needed to be replaced once during the warranty period (which Grand made difficult) and then died altogether a month after the one-year warranty expired. So i am back to using ABT in northern illinois. ABT is awesome. Best selection, prices and service. Friendly installers. A complete contrast to Grand. ABT does a ton of work in MKE. read more

Had Grand Appliances outfit three new homes over the past 10 years. 2 out 3 were great. This one is a mess. Ordered appliances in Aug. assured of delivery 1/3/2022. 3 of 5 pieces arrived 1/5. A 4th arrived today. No idea when 5th piece (dishwasher) will come. Was assured at least 3x that everything was in-house. Installers were great. Coordination by salesman Jeff Voyer, not so great. Would not recommend. Had to downgrade to 1 star after Jeff called 2x today to say he was "on it", had the product in-house and would have delivered and installed later today.
