This hotel was perfect for what we needed. We went to Disney so the location was great! I liked how this place was close to shopping, Disney and only 30ish minutes from the airport. It could use some upgrades but it was clean which is huge for me. We stayed in a three bedroom. The beds were comfy. Had plenty of room. Liked that there was a kitchen and washer and dryer.

How we loved our 1 week stay here. It started with Melissa at the counter. She was a perfect representation of customer service and how your first impression should be made. Our flights into Orlando arrived early. Our plan was to explore and have lunch first before checking in but my pregnant daughter was feeling pretty sick with a migraine and needed to lay down. Melissa got us in a room within 30 minutes. We got a 3 bedroom condo. It was spacious with a nice enclosed balcony. We were having an issue with our shower handle from the beginning so after a couple of days I called down and old them. Within a hour a matinance person came there to look. He changed out the parts. We called down for more towels, they were delivered. We used the outdoor bbq, which was nice. The grounds are well kept. We would definitely come back!

Lake Bryan lakeshore

I stayed here on a girl's weekend getaway with my mother, we live an hour outside of Orlando and are very familiar with the area. I can't say enough about grand beach. The property sits right on Lake Bryan and has a lake house view feeling when you are there. There are pools, water sports, tennis courts, picnic areas complete with gas grills and even mini golf directly on property - all included in your stay and readily available for guest use. The rooms are spaced out between several different buildings, with each building having its own covered parking garage. The property is set off of the main road and security was never a concern. Our room had a lake front view and while the property is older, it is immaculately kept. Our three bedroom, three bath was as spacious as most homes and had all the amenities you look for in a home away from home. The bedrooms were all a good size, each room boasting a flat screen tv, with the master suite being a truly deluxe space. The kitchen is well appointed and there is a small dining room that leads into a comfy living room. There is a private patio complete with a table and chairs and is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the water. Last but certainly not least, I have to mention the staff, because they were incredible. The level of service I experienced was that of any five star establishments. Ana and Sophie were not only incredibly pleasant, but very accommodating and so welcoming upon check-in and Carlos in Concierge always had the right answer for any of our questions and delivered them with a great smile and a friendly demeanor. If you happen to see an amazing deal on this property and you think it's too good to be true, go ahead and book it because you won't be disappointed. That said, if you don't see a great deal but this is on your list of options, I would suggest giving it serious consideration because it is a beautiful property and my stay couldn't have been more perfect.

Huge bathtub in the rooms.

When we got there late Friday night, we realized Expedia never sent out reservations to the hotel. It was late and we were tired from driving 4 hours. The front guest rep spent about 30 mins trying to find out information while also dealing with incoming guests. After that little hiccup, she offered us an upgrade for the inconvenience which ended up being a 3 bedroom suite, instead of a 1 bedroom that we originally reserved. She was so helpful and made the experience very pleasant. Every employee that I dealt with that weekend was so nice and very helpful. Everyone had a smile on their face which is refreshing when you live in Miami lol. The amenities were also great. So much to do that it's hard to take advantage of everything in one weekend. I will definitely be staying here again in future trips. Thank you :)

ORLANDO 2015 and 2016 Every year we enjoy going to Orlando at the Gaylord Palms to see the ICE show. For two of these years, we stayed at the Grand Beach Resort. Since it was off season both times (December), we had the place practically to ourselves and got the peace and quiet that we enjoy. The first time, we had a big 3 bedroom unit and the second time a 1 bedroom. Both were well appointed and clean, but the 3 BR was incredible! It was like we had a whole house! The kitchen was big and so was the living room. We also enjoyed some of the activities that the resort had. One afternoon, we went out on the lake kayaking. That was fun and plenty of exercise. I also enjoyed taking pictures of the ducks. The kamacks around the lake were also enjoyable. One family milestone that I will always remember about this resort is that we invited my daughter-in-law to vacation with us and it was the first time that I met her! For this reason, it will always have a special place in my heart!

It was a beautiful experience at this property. We had fun with the family activities, we enjoyed exercising in the pool, making keychains and magnets, playing miniature golf.

This was a great place to stay for a great price. It was close enough to drive Disney and Universal in a short time. It was nice to stay somewhere that felt more like a home (apartment feeling) than a box (a hotel). It was very spacious and clean. They provide a full kitchen stocked with basic kitchen needs like dish soap, sponges, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, and dishes including pots and pans and silverware. Our suite had a washer and dryer as well. I would love to stay here again when we visit Orlando again.

The room was a good size and comfortable if a little on the tired side. Also, after much searching we discovered that our room had no mini bar which was kind of annoying. We weren't able to take advantage of the pool situation because it was unseasonably cold while we were there and even though it's heated, swimming while it was 40 degrees did not seem appealing. We did use the gym facility which was expansive and very well equipped. I would recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Disney but it's not necessarily on par with other Four Seasons Hotels.

PRO's: -Nicely sized rooms - not huge, but not small either. I was assigned to a room with two queen beds, but it was just me, so I had an extra bed to put luggage, etc. on. -HUGE bathrooms, including a separate shower and separate bathtub, and nice amenties. -Excellent customer service - I had some ice packs I needed them to hold on to, in their freezer, and they were able to do that at the bell hop desk for me. -Ridiculously nice pool area - I was staying here for a conference and brought a swimsuit just in case, but as soon as I got to my room the first day - which they upgraded me, to a pool/lake room view, even though I don't have status with Marriott - I knew I had to try out the pool and waterslides. Luckily I had a spare hour before my conference started so I literally ate lunch and then jumped on a water slide, ha. ----There are three water slides: one you require an inner tube for, and the other two you just lay back while on it. CONs: -The area between the toilet and the toilet paper roll is super small. I am not a small person so this is probably why I had an issue, but I ended up just taking the toilet paper off the roll, because it kept hitting my thighs when I unrolled it. -The shower has a handheld area you can use or just the regular shower top (? I forget the name for that). The regular top doesn't have great water pressure, so I ended up using the handheld thing and just keeping it pointed towards me. They have a sign up in the lobby saying that Forbes chose them as one of the nicest properties in the world, I believe, and I can see why. They also have a few restaurants on site, as well as a Starbucks, but most of my meals were included at my conference; I did get Doordash the first day I was there, though. Be aware that for the Starbucks you cannot order ahead on the app, though, and the lines are often long (especially with conferences going on, and there were two while I was staying there, including ours!). I would definitely stay at this hotel again - I wasn't paying for the bill this time but I believe it is rather pricey normally, though.

The JW Marriott definitely looks and feels like a high-end property. The hotel is polished,…read moreattractive, and has the upscale atmosphere you expect from the brand. That said, the price point is definitely on the high side, so expectations naturally go up with it. For me, the biggest disconnect was the service level, which felt more fair than exceptional. Nothing was terrible, but it did not really match the luxury pricing or the overall image of the property. When you are paying premium rates, you expect service that stands out, and this felt a little more average than memorable. Overall, it is a nice hotel, but at this price level I was hoping for a stronger service experience.

Don't forget about the shops with all your favorite carton characters t shirts hats slippers you name it Star Wars, the minions the Simpsons fun for kids all ages. We also enjoyed the cabana cafeteria . We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. I've stayed here several times over the last 15 years, and it never disappoints. As one of Universal Orlando's original three Premier Resorts, it has everything you could want. The rooms are huge, the beds are hands down the most comfortable in all of the Universal hotels, the sheets are unbelievably soft, and there are plenty of great restaurants on property. The value is incredible too. Your room key doubles as an Express Pass at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, and if you've ever priced those passes, you know they can easily cost over $200 per person, per day. That alone makes staying here worth considering. We kicked off our trip with drinks at the Thirsty Fish. Check out my separate review because it was fantastic. We also had dinner at Mama Della's, which deserves its own review as well. This trip was all about the resort. We talked about going to CityWalk and maybe even hitting the parks, but we were having such a great time that we never left the hotel. Since it was just the two of us, it turned into the perfect relaxing getaway. Most people head to the Beach Pool with the slide, but we spent our time at the Villa Pool, and it was exactly what we were looking for. It reminded me of the pool at the Ritz-Carlton. Palm trees everywhere, a huge pool, tons of lounge chairs, and a much quieter atmosphere. It's only a short walk from the Beach Pool, and I was happy to find out it has the same full food and drink service. I ordered a tequila berry spritzer...or at least I think that's what it was called. I'll post a picture because I can't remember the exact name, but it was so good that by our second day it seemed like everyone around the pool was ordering one. Our second night, a big thunderstorm rolled in. We had reservations at CityWalk but canceled them, grabbed pizza and a Caesar salad from Sal's Market (see that review too), and had dinner in our room. Honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. Good food, a little TV, some quality time together, and no reason to be anywhere else. We were only there for three days, but it felt like a true vacation. Whether you're coming to Orlando for the parks or just looking for an amazing staycation, Loews Portofino Bay is hard to beat. Was this review a little long? Probably. Do I care? Not even a little. We had an amazing time, and I think you will too.

The jogging trail and overall scenery are genuinely beautiful and make it feel like a relaxing escape after long park days. The freestyle soda machines were a nice perk, and the food quality exceeded expectations--it felt thoughtfully prepared rather than typical cafeteria-style resort food. Our room was very clean, which always makes a big difference, and the variety of transportation options to the parks was convenient and flexible. For what we paid, the value felt fair, especially considering the amenities. The pool area was also a highlight, and throughout our stay, the employees were consistently professional and helpful. The on-site laundry room was another underrated bonus--it made it easy to head home without a pile of laundry waiting. That said, there were a few drawbacks. We did notice gnats occasionally making their way into the room, which was frustrating. Transportation to Magic Kingdom in particular was inconsistent--the bus took a long time and caused us to miss early entry one morning. One bus driver interaction also stood out, as we were repeatedly corrected about our stroller not being "fully folded" (even though it was), along with strict direction on where we could stand or sit. Additionally, depending on your room location, the walk to Centertown Market can be quite long and inconvenient. The resort is also a bit far from any off-property convenience stores if you need to grab last-minute items, and the lack of a fitness center may be a downside for some guests. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, this was a fun and enjoyable place to stay. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I would recommend it--and would stay here again.
