Summary: Ordinary in a Good Way; I would come back! Good Prices + Really Affordable (coming from someone used to NYC prices................) I was skeptical at first because this isn't exactly an Asian-majority town and the menu had both typical Americanised Chinese dishes, sushi + sashimi, Vietnamese, and Thai food(?) and in the end, I was pleasantly surprised! I liked the tea, it was a normal $2.5 unlike how in most places, it'll be at least $5 for just tea-- mind you, plain, run of the mill green tea-- that goes even up to $8 at times.. Get the honey and ginger tea if you like the taste of the sweet broth from tangyuan. It tastes EXACTLY like that and they don't try to strain out the ginger zing. The appetizers, mainly the satay dishes were great! Well cooked with a slight char and the beef + chicken were both really tender! Light yet not excessively so; it's a good starter. Sushi was ... I'd rather not get it again. I went with two friends so I got to try three dishes! The fried rice wasn't bad and the curry was also okay. What I really liked was the classic Pad See Ew! Usually, restaurants tend to make it too salty or too sweet, but here, it was mild, almost like home cooking and because of that, I'd say it was my favorite Pad See Ew I've had! Nothing special, nothing extraordinarily flavorful, just a nice, pleasant meal to have that doesn't leave you feeling uncomfortable or greasy, not at all. I would recommend sticking with the Thai dishes; the employees were all Thai anyways. (Overheard them chatting) Service was good and they leave you alone to enjoy your meal. After an afternoon at the Clark, I decided to stop by Blue Mango for lunch. It was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday, which made finding a seat easy. Given the chilly weather, I opted for the honey ginger tea, which was delicious and reminiscent of the packets I buy at the Asian market. I ordered the dumpling soup, which had a flavorful broth. However, I suspected that the dumplings were potstickers from the grocery store. That said, they were still very tasty, just not what I had expected. Next, I tried the mango curry with tofu, which was perfectly spicy. I was a bit surprised by the inclusion of cucumbers among the cooked vegetables, but the level of spice was just right, making it an enjoyable dish for a Thai restaurant in a small town. Thai food in Williamstown was a satisfying find. I wanted vegetables and protein and the Penang chicken curry with peas, carrots, peppers and snow peas hit the spot. It was more spicy than I expected for a one pepper heat index but I handled it. My dinner companion ordered the salmon bento box dinner but was not happy with the frozen salmon old flavor, So avoid that option. But salad soup tempura veggies and shrimp were all tasty. For what it is and where it is, blue mango is a solid spot. The green curry with beef was flavorful and spicy enough to be satisfying. this is a quiet spot with excellent food. i was in a party of 6 and we were seated immediately. i ordered the spring rolls as my app which were crispy and what you would expect. for the main, i ordered the tofu pad see ew. the tofu in all of the dishes they serve seems to be fried and is cooked very well. the veggies were still a little firm (not too mushy) and the noodles very wide. very enjoyable. i also got the mango sticky rice to go, and the mango was sweet and fresh. the best part about this place is definitely the service. all of the staff is super friendly. i drink a LOT of water with my food (at least 5 glasses) and the staff was attentive enough that my glass never ran dry. excellent service + food, highly recommend read more

Let's start with surprise finding this place in Williamstown . It has a mesmerizing aroma the minute you walk in and it only gets better as the meal progresses starting with the staff attention. Our water glassed never saw the bottom of the glass out order came out so fast it was like they knew we were coming all hot and fresh the vegetables in the meal were field fresh with an amazing snap . I've never encountered a server so rude! We waited and waited to order and IN THE PROCESS OF OUR ORDER TAKEN after some of our party had told the server what we wanted the clock struck 3:00 pm and suddenly the other half of our party couldn't compete their lunch order. That alone we could understand, but we mentioned we had been in the restaurant before that and the server got INCREDIBLY snippy and irate and said she can't "go back in time" and became very nasty with us, huffing and walking off. Within walking distance of Williams College lies this gem of a restaurant. We stopped in for lunch and were happy to enter this modern, well lit, clean restaurant .the menu is extensive with reasonably priced Thai and Japanese dishes. The Bento boxes (Sushi, Sashimi, Tempora) were inexpensive and include a delicious miso soup. The amount of food is generous and we left with left overs. Service was amazing! No water glass was left unfilled and while no one hovered over us, every need was met quickly and cheerfully. I highly recommend the crab Rangoon appetizer! Parking is at a premium but this restaurant is worth the walk if you have to park a bit further away. Needless to say, I will be back! So many delicious things, only one of me. read more

A delicious surprise on an icy day. We were cold and hungry and this place really hit the spot. The hot honey and ginger tea warmed me right up - very gingery. Sushi was decent. I liked the sweet potato roll the best. The drunken noodles were a winner, and Generals Tso's chicken was crisp with great sauce. The Himmaplarn (sp?) chicken was also tasty with good vegetables. Found this spot based on other positive Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try on a Sunday evening. Most other places close so early, but they're also in a college town. Either way, we benefited from them being open so late (10 pm, last seating at 9) Their Thai iced teas were delicious, and we ordered 4 of them I should have listened to the other review posted before mine in terms of their spice level, but didn't, and paid the price. We asked for a "level 4" for the soup, and neither my friend nor myself could finish it. It was still very delicious and warming - just a bit too spicy. The chicken satay and spring rolls were pretty standard, not amazing but they were fresh. I asked for a "level 3" on the pad Thai as it's a sweeter dish anyway, and that was perfect. The portion size on the entrees were large and more than filling. We both asked for boxes to take them home. Of course I saved some room for dessert, so we ordered the classic mango sticky rice and I got a bubble tea to go. Both were delicious! The service was good - he was attentive but not overbearing. The only thing I didn't like was the interior of the restaurant was very cold and we were seated by a window. There was one other couple dining in and they had their jackets on the entire time, as did the man taking our order and serving us. Cozy atmosphere, great service, fantastic food! We started with the chive pancake, which is nothing like a regular "pancake" but little squares of amazing deliciousness like nothing I've ever tasted before, and a tasty teriyaki type of sauce with it. A must try. My daughter had the vegetable fried rice and I had the chicken green curry with steamed rice. Both were fantastic! Mine was perfect on a cold winter night. We arrived within an hour of closing time on a weeknight, so there was only one other table there when we arrived, which always worries me. You hope that when you get there it's busy to prove the food is good. The few reviews were pretty good though so we didn't let the emptiness deter us when we had our hearts set on sushi! The service was good (as you'd expect in an empty establishment who thinks there are getting ready to close within an hour). I noted a recommendation in another Yelp review and I'm so grateful for the reviewer that recommended the Beef Satay appetizer, it was delicious! I could've eaten all four skewers by myself, but I was nice and shared it with my date. I usually get edamame for an appetizer before sushi, but it seemed expensive here so I decided for another buck or so it was worth it to go for the Satay. I'd definitely recommend trying this! It tasted like real meat (which maybe doesn't speak well to other places I've had this) and had a great flavor! For our main meal, we ordered the boat for two and it was amazing! I thought it was well worth the price of about $48 for sushi, sashimi and two rolls. Oh, also miso soup to start! Everything here tasted fresh and the fish was all nice and cold as it should be. I did have my heart set on a Saketini (vodka and sake) before arriving, but unfortunately that wasn't an option here as I only saw beer, wine and sake on the menu. I had wine before arriving so the menu was fine, I just had it in my head that sushi places make great Saketinis! Not this time, but hey, that's my fault for not researching the liquor situation before coming here, and the overall food and dining experience was still so great that they deserve 5 starts. I even had enough of the boat left for me to have lunch the next day, and it tasted just as good then! This little gem is tucked along a local College Town (Williams College - it's campus are steps away). Also situated across from MOCA (local Artsy Museum). The staff are all Thai folks (hint: I enjoyed my Thai dishes) and the menu offers plenty of variety of Asian Cuisine options. They have a sushi bar and a full Sushi menu. They also serve classic Thai curry, noodles, and entrees. I noticed some Chinese dishes as well (Fried Rice, Pan Fried Noodles). What was really cool were the rice options: brown, Jasmine, Sushi rice, and one other I forget at the moment (maybe garlic). But totally cool that they offer these. My hubby enjoyed his Tom Yum (spicy seafood noodle soup) and I liked my Pad See Ew a lot. The broad noodles were cooked perfectly, not sticky or gummy. It had some sliced carrots and broccoli in the dish. The flavors were spot on authentic. We also sampled some sushi ... Salmon sashimi and an appetizer, tuna and mango over rice. It had a sweet and tangy sauce on it and the tuna was cubed. The diced mangos gave it a good texture and complimentary color to the dish. We really enjoyed this place and I'll admit, I didn't expect it to be anything more than a glorified westernized Pan -Asian fare type of place so I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter was invited to tour Williams College. After we dropped her off we come here for dinner. It is located on the main strip surrounded by many little shops & restaurants. It was crowded with students & they were very busy. We got seated right away, but it took a bit for someone to take our order. Luckily our food came in a timely manner. The main courses were fine, the wild boar pork dish wasn't very spicy despite the three pepper rating. The pineapple fried rice was good and very plentiful. The only reason for the subpar review is the sushi rolls, which were inedible. The problem was the rice was rushed and still very wet. They tasted like rolls left out in the rain. When this was pointed out to the waiter, he did address the sushi preparer but kept the rolls on the bill despite the fact that not even a single piece was eaten. The service otherwise was attentive but the rolls were served after the main course, indicating that the rolls were indeed rushed and maybe not representative. read more
