A perfect spring break Family activity! Their staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. I had a change in our family spring break plans just after Covid quarantine restrictions were lifted and I called them to arrange an excursion for my family the week before. I imagine under normal circumstances it may not be so easy to get a reservation last minute so I do suggest planning ahead. Their staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived to check-in. Our excursion was led by someone on their staff and they guided us through the area onto some cool trails and roads. The drive was scenic and we all had a blast. For future four-wheeling excursions, I suggest goggles or sturdy glasses/shades, a scarf to block the wind and dust, and good shoes for safety. Our tour guide made sure we stopped and enjoy some awesome views overlooking the canyons and mountains and for some memorable photo ops, too. In April, there was still some snow on the ground, so the weather was perfect for the drive. read more

Love the tour. Really great that these guys take so much pride in safety and making it a priority. There are so many on here giving these guys a bad reputation. Don't listen to them. Go on a 2 or 4 hour tour you won't regret it. If you want to go all day they have a tour just for it that takes you to the bottom of the canyon read more

We did a 3 Hrs tour and it was awesome.All the staffs there are nice.Our tour guide Jen was really good and make sure we stayed hydrate and safe.The ride was amazing.The weather quite warm but when you driving it had a good breeze,So it's ok.After the tour you will be cover in dirt,So just make sure the clothes you wear can handle that.The guide have plenty of water that was cold and enough for everyone.Are we gonna do it again when we're in Williams? Wonderful people and guides. I think a great tour if you are a first time UTV'er It did not meet my expectations because I thought I was going on a back country tour. Technically, it was back country and that is true. It was more like a Texas flat ranch for me then what I think of as true off roading. It is my fault for not understanding. It is 8 hours of dirt roads, very dusty, no true off road if you are experienced . No goggles provided so beware. The sun and dust issues coming back made it blinding and literally there were times I could not see the road. If first time and have never been on a UTV, can be a great experience. Go for 30 minutes to the Grand Canyon and you do see the Grand Canyon from a vista that is public and open to all. Again. People are awesome, care about their business and it is the right tour for some and not for others. read more

Be ready for the safety death speech from Bret. First off, I do agree that safety is a priority but after his safety death speech my 8-year-old did not want to go on the UTV tour because she thought that she would die and get into an accident. One lady in the other group also felt uncomfortable after his death safety speech. Instead of this tour to a fun family event he took the fun out of it from the beginning. He judges you on how you look, his feelings were that I was an aggressive driver and made sure he put me in the middle of the group to ensure I drove within his standards. He also hates anyone from Chandler AZ or anyone from the valley as he calls us weekend warriors. I feel that Bret needs to tone it down with his safety speech and take a different approach and stop judging people on how they look. Grand Canyon UTV Tours gave us an awesome experience! Customer service was great, the guys were very friendly and we had a great time chatting it up with them before and after our tour. Fun fact that the owner is from our home town! The tour guide took us to beautiful locations and we had a blast riding through the mud and climbing the hills. We loved that we rode with such a small group too, it seemed more personalized that way. We will absolutely be back for another tour! read more

Wow. This was a very exhilarating experience! We had a great time we drove utv's 150 miles through the Kaibib National Forest and had lunch on the cliffs of the Grand Canyon. If your going to explore the forest and the canyon this is the way to do it!!! Word of caution it's a dusty ride be prepared to be dirty but it's a fun ride! Out guide Jade was awesome!! read more

Don't recommend taking the 8 hour Grand Canyon tour. It was an 8 hour drive to a picture taking grand view location and then another 4 hour ride back. The ride wasn't even past the Grand Canyon I would say that 7.5 hours was spent driving past farm land. The only Grand Canyon part of it was just a tourist location to take pictures for about 1 hour max and that was it. We arrived back full of dust and it cost us a total of $800 for the four of us. Great people, but it's not worth it and I do have to say there was some false advertising. read more

Disrepair of equipment is evident. After speeches of safety should be expected that equipment supplied is also in prime repair. Had one machine break down on road. Couldn't even get it started to move further to side of road with winding roads and blind curves of traffic. Next machine had clip broken on windshield causing excessive & unnecessary noice while driving. That's not the worse part, the engine was running at such high temps making the cabin unbearably hot and requiring frequent stops to add water so the engine wouldn't overheat. Also noticed the group in front of us were told to keep pace but at higher speeds they would begin to lose rear end because the tires were so bald. Finally the ride back after the river was pretty uninspiring as it was an hour of road driving. BORING. If it wasn't for the guide doing everything he could and also wishing for better but is unsuccessful due to lack of attention by owner I would have given ZERO or ONE Star. Can't sit up there and preach safety and be hypocritical maintaining your equipment ensuring your customers safety. Pro Tip: the dust is intense, bring a bandanna or mask and glasses or goggles read more

My husband, myself, our daughter and her fiance went on the 8 hour 150 mile ride and it was AWESOME!!!! Jade is a great guide. On the way there was so much dust, we were covered in it. Luckily I brought mask for us so it wasnt bad at all but then after no rain for months it started raining and hailing just after we ate our lunch that was included in our package so the ride back was even better with mud and huge puddles to ride through! I LOVED every minute of it. Our windows would get dirty from the mud and rain, Jade made many stops to clean the windows of all the UTVs so our visibility wouldn't be obstructed. When we returned to the office we were all covered in mud, some worse than others but it was great! Don't go on this ride if you want to stay clean bc it won't happen and if you want a slow, leisurely ride through the countryside this is also not for you bc it is very fast paced. Make sure you bring a face covering and googles or sunglasses otherwise you will be eating a lot of dust and trying to get it out of your eyes. Next to our daughter getting engaged at sunset at Horseshoe Bend at sunset this was my absolute favorite part of our 8 day trip. If you choose them to guide you I promise you that you won't be disappointed! read more

My Son and I were really looking forward to this tour and adding to our many great memories. We were told we would be provided with everything we needed for the full day Grand Canyon tour. Unfortunately, we weren't given or offered goggles and the trails were dry and very dusty. The whole time we were suppose to be taking in the beautiful scenery. Instead, we were actually fighting to keep our eyes open. The little we could see, it was just open land with a few mountains in the background. Although nice, we feel the staff definitely doesn't go out of their way to ensure you are well taken care of. read more

This is not a "Grand Canyon Tour" what so ever... Do NOT be fooled by the title. If you want an ACTUAL tour of the Grand Canyon then this is NOT it. As a family we agreed this is completely false advertisement because the actual results of our experience did not match the expectations. The "tour" consists of a 3 hour ride to the Canyon then 1 hour lunch break at the South Rim then another 3 hour ride back... so if you want to pull up to the Grand Canyon covered in sand & debris from head to toe & you enjoy breathing in sand & debris for 6 hours then this tour is for you! This was a great way to explore the mountains around Grand Canyon and Williams, AZ. We went on the off season so didn't get to do the Grand Canyon Tour but we took a nice mountain ride to Jerome and saw a ghost town. Our guide was nice and friendly. We did the 8-hour tour and it was amazing! The staff made sure that we were familiar with the equipment and answered all of our questions. Our guide was George and he was very responsive to our needs. There are some reviews that emphasize that you spend very little time at the Grand Canyon, however, you spend the majority of the time traveling through the Kaibab National Forest. Most people will not get to see this part of Arizona. Yes, the road is dusty and muddy depending on when you travel but it is great fun. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We got to experience all 4 seasons in one day as well. It was sunny and beautiful when we were traveling to the Canyon, it got cold and snowed at the Canyon and was cold and windy for the ride back, as we pulled back into town it was a rain/snow mixture. That being said: Dress Warmly! Gloves, hat, jacket, and a neck gaiter to keep the dust away. Be prepared for anything and roll with the punches. You are in the great outdoors so relax and enjoy! read more

I had a great time on the ride. Jade was energetic and willing to take the pulse of the group and adjust the ride to fit the group. That being said, there were several things about the actual ride that either I hadn't anticipated or that others hadn't anticipated due to a lack of information available when reserving the trip. For future riders, note the following: 1. My wife and I took this trip. We're both over 50. We rode on October 22, 2020. 2. The weather had been very dry for weeks ahead of our ride and the trails were dusty - very dusty. Bring multiple masks and expect everything you bring with you to be inundated with dust. You can enjoy the ride more if you prepare. 3. The dust can make visibility difficult. Our guide told us we could wait for the dust to settle between vehicles, but at the same time he tries to keep the group together and on schedule, so you may feel rushed. You don't have to rush. 4. You travel fast. This is not a leisurely drive through the forest with multiple stops along the way. I would have preferred a slower pace, but the distances don't allow that without making the trip take longer. Maybe the company could consider adding a slower-paced trip to the line-up? It would require a longer day for the guide, but would be less demanding on the UTVs, so might be similar cost-wise. 5. I wore a thick hoodie all day while riding even though the temperature was in the 70s. The breeze from moving is chilly. 6. We saw lots of cows on the way, but also a pack of Mule Deer and 6 or so wild Mustangs. Our guide was good about slowing down to let us see the wildlife and to not spook them. He has an obvious affinity for animals that makes him a better guide. When the animals aren't around though, his love for going fast on a UTV is also obvious :-) 7. The ride included short sections of paved roads, wide graveled paths, and a variety of narrow trails including rocky paths (nothing you have to climb over, just lots of rocks jutting up 2-6 inches out of the ground. If comfortable, you can just fly over them. The UTV suspension takes most of the shock). 8. The Grand View Tower wasn't listed in the literature, but was a nice treat. It's a fire tower at the Arizona Trail Crossing that you can climb up for a view of the Grand Canyon from afar. Also, the bathroom here was not well-maintained. There's a second port-a-potty in the woods behind the small cabin that might have been better, but wasn't noticeable except from the tower. read more

Awesome adventure! If you are looking for a boring drive to the Grand Canyon this is not for you. If you want 8 solid hours of off road excitement, mud in your hair, wild animals sightings and lunch at the most spectacular Grand Canyon vista this is a must do. The guides are great and offer up information along the drive of multiple points of interest. For a sleepy town like Williams AZ this is the caffeine rush adventure that will be the highlight of your vacation. read more

Originally we booked the tour to the Grand Canyon, but because of forest closures do to fires, we were offered an alternate tour that is normally done during the winter months. The tour was to the town of Jerome a historic copper and gold mining town that's built on the side of a hill. The UTV tour started with some scenic mountain road driving through some amazing forest, then we hit the dirt trails, this took us through creeks over an old steel bridge, canyons and some incredible trails on the side of very tall mountains. Never heard of the town of Jerome before, but once there we had a great a time. My family enjoyed the great off road adventure. The staff/crew was very professional and knowledgeable. We are definitely coming back for the Grand Canyon tour or possibly the Jerome tour again. If your looking for something different, I recommend any of the UTV tours they offer. read more
