What an amazing experience. Chrissy helped us with booking, I forget the name of the guy who checked us in but he was so helpful and kind. I'll call him surfer dude because I can't think of another way to describe him. 10 of 10 experience, the Yamaha side by sides were all in perfect condition. The trails were fairly easy, but enough of a challenge to make it worth your while. The views are nothing short of stunning, just because this isn't in Sedona doesn't mean you won't see some amazing sights. And the best part about this place was the deposit structure, the first place we called in Sedona wanted a $3,000.00 deposit. Putting that much on credit card is not ideal or even possible for many, many people. Vortex on the other hand asked for a $100 deposit when we booked it, and charged the rest when we got there. read more

The customer service was tremendous. We didn't rent sxs because we brought our own but our first day out, we were having trouble finding the trails. We stopped by their office and the lady was extremely helpful with maps and instructions as to where to ride, even though we weren't spending any money with their establishment. Not every rental facility is this way. Fast forward a couple days we were out on the trails and broke a tie rod on our RMAX. We called Vortex to see if they could point us in the right directions for parts. The owner immediately offered the one he had as inventory with no hesitation. We limped our rig the 10 miles to his shop, he welcomed us into his shop and began helping with the repair offering my husband any tools he needed. Once we were up and running, Nate gave us recommendations on a trail to go on and programmed my phone so we knew where to go. We ended what could have been a horrible day on an extremely high note and beyond gorgeous trail! Nate was so friendly and accommodating. What a FANTASTIC experience my family had with these Yamaha ATVs! Spend a little extra $$ and book the 4-hour trip and head on up to Shaman's Cave. You won't be disappointed with the short hike, or the views from the cave. Be careful though, as the last bit of traversing the ledge of the red rocks is a bit tricky to get to the entrance of the cave. The ride had everything: rocks, gulleys, dust, speed, switchbacks, and rollercoaster-like hills. Dea was so kind, showed us all the beautiful places Sedona has to offer their tourist. My favorite trail was the power line trail and the trail that takes you to the river. We really enjoy taking the kids on an off road adventure when we head out west. Vortex rated high on Yelp so we reserved a 4 seater and a 2 seater for 4 hours. On the day we arrived I was thinking of backing it down to 2 hours but it was too late. I am so thankful we kept it for 4 hours! Time flew by as we cruised through the magnificent scenery. Most importantly Vortex was so awesome to work with. They upgraded us to to two 4 seaters in case we wanted to split the group into 3 and 3, gave us plenty of water, was available by phone when I could not find a trailhead and did not charge us for going over the four hours (we took a wrong turn...a couple wrong turns actually). Surprised for sure!!!! We were rolling into Sedona and stopped at a gas station and grabbed one of their pamphlets and thought we would give it a go. However we Didn't realize it was so far from Sedona. We were regretting our decision a bit but once we got to the location and talked through the day we were so excited. Dee upgraded our ATV, outfitted us with gear, water, maps and told us the best routes and sites including how to get to Shaman's cave which was breathtaking. The machines are reliable and sturdy and quite surprisingly smooth so it was an enjoyable 4 hour ride through the dusty desert. If you're on the fence, just do it. We visited Flagstaff/Sedona for spring break and created a lifetime of memories, which includes ATV'ing and taking in some breathtaking scenery. Family adventure and fun! Our family came out to Arizona for Spring Break after a year of not seeing each other. The boys are 14 and 17, so we decided to book a four hour ATV rental with Vortex! From beginning to end the entire adventure could not have been better! The staff at Vortex ATV from the first day of reaching out with questions until turning the ATV's back in at the end of the day was PERFECT! Communication is great. The ATV's were in awesome shape, cleaned, and gassed up for us. That day the morning riders were running a bit late, so Vortex gave us a call and let us know right away. We were pushed back 30 minutes, but then when we got there we got our 4 hours plus an extra 30 minutes. We did the Verde River trail and it was gorgeous! The views of Sedona were beautiful and the trails were challenging and fun for us first timers. We were a bit nervous for our first outing, but now we cannot wait to go back again! This family owned and operated business offers such an amazing experience for all ages and skill levels. My boyfriend and I wanted to do some off roading while staying in Sedona for a long weekend and found this place that has great pricing and a great location. Nate was so helpful and gave us several detailed maps with directions to get to a variety of trails with AMAZING views of red rocks and rolling hills behind cottonwood.
