I use to order from this place a good bit until today. I usually order the same thing every time. This time however was different. I began to eat my what i thought was sweet and sour chicken. After a few bites i open up a piece to find shrimp. And guess who is allergic to shrimp. I called and spoke with a lady there that just proceeded to tell me that i ordered wrong. Ordered delivery through door dash to hotel after being stranded from a tired blow out caused by a semi-truck tire blow out. The food was awful--ordered the 'customer favorites' wings, sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, pork fried rice, veggie rolls. The fried rice was just yellow--no veggies and was awful--tasted like oil--awful! The veggie rolls had no flavor and were gummy. The sweet and sour chicken was very greasy and dripping with greasy oil. The pork fried rice had no veggies but onions. $60 paid but DEFINITELY not worth that!!! read more

I hate wasting food but the beef and broccoli dish I had was inedible. I have never in my life tasted food where I thought the taste reminded me of sickness. The rice was ok. Portions were the only thing that was good but thats only a good thing if the food doesnt taste like shit. I would rather eat burnt toast then eat here again. Hope I dont get sick. Yesterday I ordered for the first time and received lemon pepper and teriyaki wings and some other items. The teriyaki were either a different recipe or wrongly made because they tasted like Kung Pao chicken. That said, generally the wings were fair. The hot and sour soup was excellent, with plenty of tofu, mushrooms, and fresh green onions. The egg roll was better than most in town. I've yet to order an entree, noodles, or rice, so next time that's the plan. read more

Been going there off and on for about 8 years (I come here for work and lived here about a year) and always good to pretty good. Yeah they are foreigners and have a bit different way about them but never have had rude service as mentioned below. I've done delivery and takeout. Always consistently at least good. It sometimes is a hit and miss. Sometimes it's really really good. Other times it's not that good. Lately it's been real good though. I only order take-out cuz the atmosphere is not that great. One time I ordered something and when I picked up and went home, I realized that they gave me the wrong one. (Luckily I love only 5 minutes away.) I went back and told them their mistake. The kid there said, "sorry about that, here's you order." And he actually charged me the difference! It's was only like $1 or $2 difference. That is basically the only real bad experience. My husband and I frequently order from Grand China, and we have both been surprised at the number of negative reviews it gets because we've only had positive experiences here! Our order is always right, always hot, and always timely. Some of our favorite dishes to order are Shrimp (or Chicken) Meh Fun (long, buttery rice noodles with some sautéed veggies), General Tso's Chicken (fried chicken in a sweet, garlic sauce with broccoli), the Won Ton soup, and either the egg rolls or spring rolls. The people that run the place are fast and efficient, and they hired a high school student some months ago now and he's a sweetheart. We feel fortunate that we're just right down the road! And, cost is very affordable. We can split an order for about $10. That's a steal! read more

I give this no stars because we threw the food out when tasted it after looking at it. (But yelp insists on at least one.) The orders looked nothing like we have seen. We picked up a sizeable order of completely inedible food. Hot & sour soup was 'red' colored and tasted greasy because almost all of it was oil. (Hot and sour soup is generally very low in fat.) There was no such thing as fried rice-it is mostly yellow colored rice (with absolutely nothing in it but rice) that looks like it came from a box. The flavors of the food were nonexistant. The bill was cheap and now I know why---because they are the worst chinese restaurants I have ever experienced in my many years. We had some protein drinks in the fridge for dinner. Well I'm asian and I can tell this is the worst Chinese I've ever eaten, especially their rice, there was no flavor in it and I would rather eat plain jasmine rice with nothing on it. Also their pu pu platter tasted bad after one day of saving it in the fridge. read more

We like to order crab rangoons here, but today we were thoroughly disappointed! There was barely any of the mixture inside. Totally not worth it! I threw mine out. Think we will start making our own. My son had a strange flavor in his rice and he likened it to dirty dishwater. They also don't have a very good score right now. Might have just lost a customer. read more

Took order in next day asked for refund was cursed at, told no refund, to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They were robbed a few days later, KARMA, gotta love it. This family owned and operated restaurant has some of the BEST Chinese food we have tried! It is a little hole-in-the-wall establishment but consistently produces wonderful, fresh tasting food. The best! This is definitely our favorite place to order Chinese food. I was introduced to grand China years ago by a colleague, and even though I was living in Adairsville at the time, we made it a point to regularly come to Cartersville just for Chinese. The coconut shrimp is the amazing ( and you get enough for 3 meals!), but the cream cheese crab ragoons are the absolute best that there is! They even throw in 6 additional ones for FREE, when your purchase is $25 or more. We always order enough so that there is plenty left over to enjoy again. We recently purchased a home in Cartersville, and I would be lying if I said that being in delivery range of Grand China wasn't on our list of pros while making the decision! We have always received the best delivery service as well. Very professional, courteous, and always with excellent timing. Always a treat. read more

I used to order form this place all the time until one day on the way home from work I called in an order. When I got to the restaurant it had been about 30-40 minutes since I ordered. The food was still not ready (I assume it never got made by the way they looked at me). I sat down and waited another 10 minutes or so and then by then I was extremely thirsty. I asked them if they had some water that I could drink and they wanted to charge me for it. If you ask me they should have offered me a drink for having to wait for so long. After about 20 minutes total my food was ready. I could have forgotten and forgiven the forgotten order if it wasnt for what I got when I made it home. I always order Sesame Chicken. Theirs used to be really good but when I made it home and put it in my mouth it was mealy and gray in color. Tasted disgusting. I took about 3 bites and almost vomited it was so bad. Needless to say I threw it away and have never eaten there again. I would not bother if it was me! read more
