We had to order the golden mountain chicken again, we ordered Szechuan wontons in chili sauce and some other noodle dish with mouth-numbing sauce. It was all so fresh, unique, and delicious. I had not eaten lunch and had an extreme craving for some authentic Chinese shrimp fried rice. This place was recommended and it was on my way home from work. I intended to just get takeout but was in no rush so I sat down to eat and enjoy it. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and some scallion pancake with curry sauce. I can no longer get my fried rice from anywhere else. It was excellent! The Golden mountain chicken was the best I ever had as far as sesame or sweet n sour chicken go. The bubble pancake was tasty as well with the curry sauce but I wouldn't necessarily get it again. I really wanted egg foo young but they don't have that. Had lunch here today and we thought the food was great. Service was quick and the restaurant was open and clean. My son had the beef lo mien for around $13. He really enjoyed it and could not finish it all. I got a spicy flounder chef special. It was freshly made and came out on a decorative tray that was heated to keep it warm. It had broccoli and bok choy in it. It was a was tasty and a huge amount of food. I could only eat half and took the rest home as leftovers. We will definitely go back. read more

I don't know what more I can say, this place is outstanding! It's one of my favorite Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. Every dish is super flavorful and delicious and made with high quality ingredients. If I lived in Kennesaw, I would be here at least 2-3 times a week. This is a must stop when I am passing through the area and if I need to stop for the night, I book a hotel near this place. I love grandma's noodles, chili oil wontons and the golden mountain chicken. But everything I have had has been delicious. Staff and service is also top notch. Delicious food and accommodating staff. Excellent scallion pancake with flavorful curry sauce. Could have eaten it as a main course. The Dan Dan noodles were very tasty and lots of flavor. My 8 year old grandson loved the seafood soup in the stone pot. He is very particular about his food. He wants to come back. Although many places serve very greasy duck, this restaurant did a great job with it!! It was not greasy, and the pancakes/sauce perfectly balanced the duck. Excellent choice. The only negative I had was the slow service and VERY loud noise. Having said that, it was a very busy night. Annelise was friendly and very attentive. The basil beef had lots of flavor and spice. I enjoyed it with the white rice. The 11 food items were all tasty. Glad I found this restaurant that is closer than Buford HWY area or John's Creek. Came for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. The service was quick and friendly! We got the pickled vege fish soup, shan city chicken and Napa cabbage w tofu skin. The food came out super quick. The chicken was fried and so good. It wasn't too spicy and it was still so flavorful. The Napa and tofu skin dish was okay, there wasn't much flavor but was saved with some chili oil. The soup had lots of cilantro and fish in it but a little too sour for my liking but still a good soup. Overall, the food was pretty good and I would try more Szechuan dishes here next time. read more

Stopped in with my ex for lunch, at about noon on March 9, 2025. The place is very clean, the atmosphere is moderately cozy, seating is ample and comfortable. The server was at the table immediately, we ordered Arnold Palmers and water. For an appetizer we had the Ribs in Osmanthus Sugar, those were amazing. They literally fall off the bone and the flavor is incredible! Definitely recommend these as an appetizer (for a frugal eater these would be good as an entree!). For my main entree I had the beef with mushroom. The beef was tender and cooked nicely, and the mushrooms were large and flavorful, all in a delicious dark sauce, maybe beef flavored? My ex had I believe some kind of popcorn shrimp or chicken (pictured) which she enjoyed. I tried a bite and it had a peculiar tang to me but apparently that's the way ita supposed to taste so "to each their own' I guess. We also had some hot Oolong tea to wash it down. Overall great experience. Server was prompt and courteous, place was clean, there's a huge parking lot with plenty of parking. I have been visiting this restaurant for a couple years now and I think they have some very authentic Chinese food in the metro Atlanta area. I have visited here with several Chinese clubs and they all talk about how good it is. I typically order the lo mein but I decided to switch it up and I got fried rice. Our service is usually pretty good here and today was no exception. My only complaint about food is that sometimes when I order the lo mein it is a bit on the greasy/oily side. My fried rice was good but it was pretty salty and a little greasy/oily as well. Overall service and food was good. read more

Stopped here for lunch today with my mother-in-law. We were pleasantly surprised to find a nice sit-down spot for lunch that we could enjoy together. She had the sweet and sour shrimp with veggies lunch combo with a hot tea. I had the 3 mushroom shrimp lunch combo. Overall the food was good, nothing spectacular, but good for a quick sit-down lunch. The spring rolls that came with our lunch were cold, but other than those, all food came out nice and hot. There's a reason why this restaurant has such great reviews. It is easily the best Chinese restaurant in Kennesaw. Located in a shopping center with many options to shop and eat. Right off of the interstate and Barrett Parkway in and out. The service was top-notch. Our server was named Charlie. Excellent service five star. The food came quickly and it was the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time. We will be going there often on nights that we want this style of food. The restaurant was clean well staffed and run very efficiently. It was packed in there and our food came out quickly and was top quality. North Fort Myers where I've been living, doesn't resonate with me on a number of levels. One reason -- obviously not the most important -- is the dearth of good Chinese food throughout SWFL. On our first night in GA after going to a friend's artisan wine store, we hit Fire Stone, one of my favorite Szechwan restaurants, conveniently located by our hotel. And yay, dinner was as good as I expected it to be. I don't know why double cooked chicken isn't readily offered in restaurants. Perhaps better than the more common double cooked pork, it's lean, and tasty with the right amount of zing. Mapo tofu -- which I recently replicated in FL -- was delish. I always request a moderate level of spice, to avoid numbing heat. Fire Stone, I miss you! If you opened an outpost in Ft Myers, you'd have people like me lining up at your door! read more

We ordered the duck and it was 90% duck skin. The soup was cold and tasteless. The wine was sour and had to be replaced. The fried rice with basically white rice covered in soy sauce. We ate barely anything and my blood pressure spiked due to the high amount of sodium in the food. We spent over $80 and left hungry. I will not be back. read more

We dined here this evening for my brother's birthday. We had cilantro fish rolls, pan fried pork dumplings, bamboo flounder, beef with leeks and chilis, dry fried green beans, and chicken with chilis and scallions. There were five of us. The food was well prepared and brought out quickly. The fish rolls were crisp and hot. The dumplings were nicely chewy and tasty. I am a big fan of leeks and they had good flavor and went well with the spicy beef. The pan fried green beans were savory and tender. We are big fans of the bamboo fish at Tasty China. I was curious as to how this one would compare and was not disappointed. It is delicious and slightly less salty with is a good thing. The service was good but very busy. They had many customers tonight. The only possible complaint is that the door let in an awful chill every time it opened and it is literally freezing outside but in a crowded restaurant I'm not sure how that can be helped. Dining here was a much better experience than the East Cobb location. We will definitely return. read more

This is a Szechuan restaurant with beautiful decor, great service, and flavorful food. Walking into the restaurant, it was already quite busy for an early dinner and you can tell everything is well maintained (floors clean, tables, clean, etc.) The table covers were this weird sticky silicone thing, but I figure it's easier for them to clean and ultimately it didn't really bother us once all the dishes were down. We ordered: Braised fish in chili oil: The fish was VERY tender, yet held it's shape just until you bit into it. It was a nice mild, meaning it would build up a little heat as you kept eating (unless you're a spicy eater like me, who didn't taste the spice, but it was the perfect amount for my mild-spicy husband!) The leeks/cabbage also added to the texture, and overall it wasn't as oily as I expected. Flavor was also very good, and I'd recommend eating this with rice. Dry fried eggplant: At first, I thought they meant dry fried as in a dry hot pot, but it was literally fried. Flavor was good, but I did get a few pieces that were just soaked in oil. This is sadly expected though, as eggplant will do that. Beef tendon and tripe: The beef tendon was more on the beef flank/meat side than tendon, which is totally fine--every restaurant is different. I prefer tendon, but my husband likes meat so this actually worked out for us. I wish there was more tripe though, as I only caught a few pieces. It was oily as expected, but at least not too salty like other places I've been to. Shredded tofu with sesame sauce: I'm a huge fan of shredded tofu, and they make this really well. It's a whole flavor bomb of mild spice, sesame oil, and vinegar that will completely assault your taste buds. It's a tad salty for me, but perhaps with some rice to tone it down it would be perfect. Overall, we were totally blown away by how flavorful everything was, and for the area, it was really quite authentic. Yes, it was still a little oily/salty, but I haven't found a Szechuan place that wasn't and this is probably the most balanced of the bunch. I'd say food was 4 - 4.5 stars, but the service was really good. We had several people stop by to see if we needed anything, how was the food, etc. and our waitress would come over and help us out (extra napkins, etc.) without us saying anything. That's really hard to find at an Asian establishment so I bump this to a 5 star joint. You'll have the whole experience coming here, so do give it a try! read more

I had a taste for lomein today and after searching reviews for Chinese spots in the area I decided on Fire Stone. For to go orders you must order and pickup from the bar. The young man who took my order was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for my next visit. I ordered the chicken lomein. It was very flavorful and very filling. By far one of the most delicious places to eat Chinese food. Service is always friendly and welcoming. The choices are varied and ever dish is delectable. The prices are very reasonable, even in our current economic downward spiral. So the food is near perfect, price is affordable, service top notch. The only downside is the drive from woodstock to their, but for the last 6 years that hasn't stopped me from picking up to go, or eating there. It is a smaller venue, but doesn't ever feel crowded. My wife had the lettuce wraps and won ton soup and the quality of both were good. The wraps were served in a beautiful tree with the lettuce cut to fit the curve of each bowl. The flavors for both items were excellent and the portions sufficient for my wife. I had the Hunan beef at "mild" level, and I'm glad I asked to tone it down because it was still quite spicy. It's open for lunch. My first time and with a group of 9. Our server was excellent. We had the lunch specials which came with a spring roll, choice of soup and choice of rice. I was surprised the fried rice wasn't an up charge. Yet, it tasted like white rice cooked in a string beef broth. It was very dark. I ordered the hot and sour soup. Had to send it back. It was very thick like gravy and tasted odd. I think they used too much gelatin or corn starch thickener. I've never had this soul made this way. I then got the wonton soup which was two small tasty wontons in what appeared to be hot water. I'll skip the soup next time. I've never had a bad experience here. Their vinegar peanuts are one of our favorites. The chicken lettuce cups are also amazing. I've tried many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. One of the best things I had was their chicken feet. I usually have to go for dim sum on the other side of Atlanta to get good chicken feet. Last time we went I got the duck and I highly recommend it to anyone. We dine in or get delivery (DoorDash) at least once a month. This experience was great! I can see this place becoming a regular establishment I visit. Everything was clean from the dining area to the bathroom. The customer service was top tier. Multiple servers continuously checking in to see if I had everything that was needed. All the food was smoking hot which is a huge plus for me. We ordered the vegetable lo mein, the shan city chicken, and golden mountain chicken. The lo mein was very flavorful and filling. The Shan City chicken spice gradually builds up as you eat it. The chicken is also very crispy and crunchy. The gold mountain chicken was nice and saucey but still maintained a crispy crunch. Can't wait to return! read more
