The buffet was very clean, the staff kept all the dishes full and fresh, and while we were there they came out and changed all of the serving silverware, and made sure everything stayed clean. When I first started going here the last 8yrs, the food was awesome! It's a drive for us, but it was worth it. There's a lady there that always used to answer the phone pleasantly and never messed up my order. I live too far for a messed up order. Today was not the case. I should've known something was wrong bc it took a long time for someone to answer the phone. She answers on the 1st ring. A guy ended up answering the phone. I gave my order like I usually do, no problem. I walk in and notice how empty it is on a Friday! Also, an unknown woman to me arguing over the phone regarding a mistake with someone's order. That's 3 clues I didn't pay attention to. (1) Guy answers the phone (2) empty restaurant (3) woman arguing regarding a messed up order. I get home, order is wrong and the food tastes TOTALLY different. I'm thinking it was either sold or new cook. I think it's the first one. I'm done. Don't eat here anymore. Be careful. read more

Very dissatisfied. I had given Hong Kong another try after the last time. It got worse. The spring rolls tasted old and mushy. Hot and sour soup was bland water with hot pepper. The broccoli and chicken was actually pretty good. Be sure to ask for it without sauce if you don't want brown sauce on it. The Eggroll was terrible. It was fried perfectly, but the filling tasted terrible.... something between spoiled meat and chicken flavoring. I politely spit it out into a napkin when they weren't looking. We ordered take out. But the decor and inside was nice and clean. We called twice - once to ask a question and once to order. Both people were very friendly! The food tasted fresh and was flavorful! Well, my husband and I disagreed on three or four stars. My problem was the food was a bit greasy and brown- meaning there were not many less sugary or sweet options for those of us not wanting straight up carb loading. The peel and eat shrimp were great though, and the variety of food would be nice for a family. The sushi was okay, but I liked the option, and it was nice to have a salad bar with some non fried options. My husband says four stars because it was exactly what you expect from a Chinese buffet- fried sauces covered meat over noodles and rice. Some items were not very flavorful, but after trying most the options, he found what he liked. His point is that one does not come to a buffet for five star food, but for comfort food and kid choices without the hassle of waiters and tips, etc...SO...that being said, I found things I liked and he did too, so just go for the stuffing and kid ease, not for a fancy, gourmet meal and you will be pleased. read more

Eaten here 3-4 times and have never had a bad experience. The price is great, and always seems clean. The only down fall is the location. I call it "the armpit" of cartersville... the staff are always friendly but you'll see a lot of "Cartersville's finest (huge obnoxious families that don't quite understand how to control a kid, trashy people, etc...)" here... which is expected at most buffets.. but can be a turn off when some +300lb couple comes in wearing cut offs and flip flops and you can smell the B/O across the room. This place is still my favorite restaurant in Cartersville. Delicious food. Great price for the buffet which includes a drink. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have good basic sushi as well as all of the other typical Asian/Chinese fixings. The chicken and broccoli is delicious and so is the moo goo gai pan, the mixed vegetables and chicken in the clear sauce. Their fried rice is disappointing though, just a heads up. I also love a little of the coconut shrimp. If you are looking for a nice place to eat in Cartersville but don't want to spend a whole lot, this is your place. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is pretty nice and cool. They are even open pretty late. I would call first to make sure they are open. This place is great. read more
