I called in with maybe 25 minutes before it closes because I wanted to try their egg foo young . I ordered the shrimp egg, foo young and two shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls was fresh crispy. Nice season to them that I would definitely go back just for the egg rolls. The real reason I went there was to try the egg for young because I wanted to find a Chinese restaurant near me that has a great egg foo young. I live near Marriott high school and this was a a few miles down the road, maybe about 8 miles away from the house. The egg foo young wasn't overcooked but it lacked seasoning so I definitely will not be going back for that but I will go back for the egg rolls and to try something else on the menu. You give it a try and let me know what you think. Only reason I went here was because I wanted somewhere close by even though it was other places closest to my house, but I've tried them already so I ventured out a little further. If you go and find a dish, that's really good let me know and I'll go check it out. The ambience of this restaurant is nothing spectacular. I really wanted to like this place due to the positive reviews but I'm so disappointed. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice, veggie lo mein and hot braised wings. The hot braised wings were boiled. BOILED. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the wings swimming in a broth. Giving this place a 3 because the sesame chicken was good. Portion sizes are huge but flavor is lacking. Had vegetable lo mein, chicken Szechuan and pork with garlic sauce and all were very bland. We've had better from China Fun before but seems to have gone down in flavor. read more

Let me just tell you this is my favorite Chinese restaurant and I never order anything from any of the establishment but China Fun. They always get it right! We are in the process of trying out ALL Chinese places in a 15 mile radius. I decided to order one of their combo plates. I like that you can choose white or fried rice and the prices were right. I ordered shrimp on lobster sauce. Now I know most places outside of any Chinatown isn't gonna use lobster meat. But this sauce was like egg drop soup. However they were very generous with the shrimp and overall it wasn't terrible. Thus the three solid stars. If you've read any of my other reviews on local Chinese takeout- my husbands favorite order is egg fu young. I know it's not authentic and you'll never find it in China but it's what he loves. Based on the egg fu young here, he would have given it two stars. The eggs and shrimp were cooked ok - a bit greasy, but the portion was good. However he hated the gravy/sauce. It tasted it and it was very sweet. Kinda tastes like an Asian bbq sauce to me. Perhaps it was a one time thing, but we won't find out because he doesn't want to go back. read more

I wanted to love it. All the reviews gave me hope. In the spirit of trying as much of the menu as possible, I ordered two lunches. Shrimp with snow peas, chicken lo-mien, and an order of crab Rangoon. Large plump shrimp, more snow peas than I've gotten from anywhere else. So...good start. Fried rice was, again, bland. I had added egg to it, which they did well. Chicken lo-mien, the chicken was so shredded it was hard to tell that from the noodles. Noodles overcooked and close to soggy. Wonton and egg drop soup - solid showing. Crab Rangoon? may have been the dough, but looked under cooked. Most probably will not return. read more

If you have high blood pressure...this is the shrimp fried rice for you. When I say that the dish was bland....baaaayyyby (in my New Orleans voice)! There is No seasoning in there what so ever. It's not nasty...just boring as hell. First of all, why is the rice yellow? Are you trying to make me think that the rice is fried? Ha! And the shrimp...it was as white as a boiled egg. No signs of every being fried or residing in a wok...like ever. I was very pleasantly surprised at the large amount of crab rangoon that I received. It was basically creamed cheese and onion powder but it was fried to perfection. I ate the whole page in the drive home. Side note: I was like to take everyone in Paulding county on a field trip to downtown Atlanta so that you can all taste superb Chinese, India, African, Italian and Americana food. Perhaps I came here (China Fun - Dallas, GA) on a bad day, but today's meal was one of the worst - if not the worst - dining experiences I've ever had. It's my fault for not walking out, when I walked in the place was a joke. Filthy and smelled like dirt and paint. I was greeted by a woman behind a 1.5" plexiglass window who spoke with me over a microphone and speaker. My food was passed through a 2x2 foot window with a pass through door. The food (pan fried noodles, combination meats and vegetables with brown sauce) was gross and made me sick! Not edible! Should have called in my order for pickup, but never been before so wanted to check it out in person first.... wait was not long, maybe 8 to ten minutes after ordering.
