Robert was able to measure, and estimate my floor two months prior to the actual work because my kitchen project was taking so long. He knew it was going to take a while and advised me to do it sooner than later to lock in prices due to inventory and inflation issues that could occur. I don't know of any other company in this field that has better service and communication than Abby Carpet. Robert is attentive and is very personable. He let me keep the floor samples for as long as I needed to make a decision on which flooring I wanted. The floor associates at the store were also very knowledgeable and helpful while shopping in store for floor options. The actual floor work was clean and timely. He did a great job making sure not to damage the existing base boards. He actually recaulked them so they look better than it was before. I thank him for that. I will hire them again for any future carpet or flooring needs.

A measuring technician came out, took all the dimensions, and directed us to the 1020 W. San Carlos location to review their full carpet selection. At the store, we explained what we were looking for, compared carpet features and pricing, and worked with Dominic--who was very accommodating. His total project cost was competitive with the other quotes we received. We also wanted new baseboards that would match our freshly painted walls and trim. Dominic arranged to have the primed (but unpainted) 16' wood baseboards delivered ahead of installation, giving us time to paint everything before the carpet went in. Tip Our new carpet and pad are very soft and plush--great underfoot, especially on the stairs. Because the new flooring sits higher than the original laminate, our bedroom doors needed to be trimmed by about half an inch. We cut the doors ourselves, but it's worth asking whether your installer can include that as part of the project. Pros * Dominic is a true carpeting professional--he anticipated our needs and offered thoughtful guidance throughout the process. * Both the wood and carpet installation teams did solid, quality work. Cons * Some door trim was scuffed as the installers maneuvered large carpet rolls through our narrow hallway and doorways, so a bit of repainting was needed afterward.

His team will even move furniture for a LOW price to make it easier on you. The shop on San Carlos isn't much to look at but you'll get awesome help and samples sent to your home. I don't think you can beat this place unless you need continuous carpet for several rooms. Even then, I'd still investigate what Dominic can do for you.

They installed the cabinets that I sourced from another company (although they also manufacture their own cabinets in-house), and everything was installed to spec with the trim pieces cut perfectly to match. For the countertops, I sourced my own quartzite slabs, and F&L handled the rest. They picked up the slabs, created the templates based on my cabinets, fabricated everything, and completed the installation. The templating team also went above and beyond to make sure my expensive slabs were used as efficiently as possible with virtually nothing wasted. They took the time to help me plan the layout so the veining flowed naturally across the countertops and backsplash, which made a huge difference in the final result. As someone who had never gone through this process before, I really appreciated their patience and attention to detail. A special shout-out to Fernando, who was my representative throughout the project. He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly patient with all of my questions and design changes. My standards are very high and quite often when I shop, there's three very important aspects I'm very critical and put high expectations on,... price, value, and customer service. Grand Flooring and the professional team/management exceeded this at all levels. The first thing that caught my attention was the space they gave me to roam around with no pressure nor salesmen tactics in an attempt to lure me to buy something. This I appreciated a lot as I often like to be given the opportunity to first look at the product(s), decide what I want, and consult with a sales rep. should I have any questions. For me, this is standard protocol that Grand Flooring understands all too well. They are very mindful/considerate of the customer and pays very close attention to body language, being careful not to follow you around and annoy you with small talk. Rep Tu that helped me was very knowledgeable of the products and offered many tips too. She was also extremely patient and honest considering all the dumb questions I asked, especially after an hour and half past closing time on a Saturday. It's rare to find reps like Tu that will go out of their way to help a customer,... an experience my wife, daughter, and I will remember for a very long time. As a result, we finalized the purchase of Cherry hardwood flooring and will have it installed this week. I originally bought my wood from a Silicon Valley Flooring place that had a bunch of reviews and great customer service, and I cancelled on them after finding out they were overcharging me for the engineered hardwood and labor, so I cancelled on them. I then got it from a place with Floor & Decor, and found out they were significantly overcharging me as well. I knew Grand Flooring had prices on carpet that beat all the biggest and smallest stores, so I went back to check, and low and behold, the engineered wood I got was nearly 40% cheaper than all other stores and the labor was nearly 50% cheaper. The quality of the wood is amazing (I love it!!) and the workmanship is top notch. If you have found wood you like, compare your findings and prices with Grand Flooring and I'm willing to bet they'll be the price on the wood AND their labor will be more affordable than any other well reviewed vendor! Both representatives (Paul and Deborah) refused to give a ballpark estimate after I gave the sq footage and my preference for carpet (cheapest option as it's for a rental), they insisting on having me come down to their store, and book for a remeasure (already had measurement from Lowes). I did my research and ended up strongly preferring higher-end laminate over LVP and hybrid options. Andro provided a competitive quote, and was very clear and straightforward to work with. I personally have a strong preference for people who are NOT trying to smooth-talk me OR tell me how they are giving a special price 'just for me'. So the fact that Andro never for a second tried to BS me on anything, is a massive plus. There was no ambiguity about what is included and what is not. The flooring brand he works with is good quality and had a lot of variety. We took our sweet time in deciding. I would definitely recommend doing one's own research in type of flooring you want, quality and price range you are good with, and getting comfortable with what you decide. We looked at options from home depot, lowes, floor & decor, as well as a couple of local stores -- and pretty much covered the spectrum of quality and price. We did end up going with the brand Andro partners with. They have a showroom/office nearby and made it easy to take as many samples as we wanted. We tried a variety of them at home, in different lights, saw how things coordinated with other existing flooring, etc. It was a bit embarrassing when I went back there to return the pile of samples I had borrowed, but hey, we were being thorough! The installation was quick and efficient, and the flooring fit and finish looks super-professional! The installer who works for Andro has 10+ years of experience and did a good job distributing patterns and planning the cut-lengths well across the bedroom and walk-in closet. He also fixed a minor issue that was discovered in a corner of the room after the carpet was removed. By the way, we did not have a leveling problem in the floor, so no additional sub-floor leveling was needed. There was a bit of a hiccup as the guy made an error when caulking the re-attached baseboards. But Andro made things right without any hesitation. Not only was the caulking cleaned and re-done but Andro went beyond that and had his guy do some additional work too. It is very important to see how someone reacts when something goes wrong, and he checked an important box! Andro stands out in the crowd for his quality of work, good communication, no bs or upsell, and focus on making sure the customer is happy!

They did a great job. During/after the installation, they always asked about if there was anything we liked/did not like, and whether or not we wanted them to change anything. They were super easy to work with and I would recommend to anyone looking at flooring options. From the last installation (which already went through a final inspection with myself and Andro), I found some other things I wanted changed/corrected. He and his team had 0 issue addressing things I wanted changed (even if a normal home owner/other may not care). Because we had extra wood (and stair noses), I asked his team if they could do our garage closet. While it's over the top (and unnecessary), they said no problem, and gave me such an extremely good deal I couldn't believe it! I really appreciate his willingness to work with my demands and warranty his product/installation. We'll see what other projects we have in the future for Andro, and hope to have him help us. As a note, I've had other contractors who have helped me on projects that just constantly stress me out. Being in the house, and watching them perform things give me anxiety! However, with Andro and his team, I had no problem going to work/or leaving freely because I knew they would stand behind their work!

Most importantly, they did not try to force me into their plan and instead customized the project per my actual need. They were clearly and evidently caring about the quality of the job they were doing, and took pride in doing a great job with the flooring workmanship and making sure the quality of their job was top-notch.
