Was working on a deal with Randy for a 2025 Kia Telluride and we had questions regarding the price on the website vs the price that Scott Wilbur (Sales Manager) gave for the car. I think there was a misunderstanding between us to Randy, and Randy to Scott. Scott came to us immediately irritated. Was talking to us with such a harsh tone, after my wife finally told him "you're kinda being rude", he lost his mind and flung his chair back and yelled about how "we can ask our questions to someone else, because he was done talking with us" then completely ignore anything else we asked. Scott ruined the experience in buying a car from this dealership, currently going to a different Kia dealership to make a deal. Very unfortunate for Randy, he was trying to save the deal with us but we could not get over how extremely RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL Scott was being to us, and did not feel comfortable making a deal with a dealership who had such a rude sales manager. If you want to be yelled at for asking simple questions about finances with a vehicle trade in and be completely disrespected then go here. If not, your best bet is to go somewhere else. I recently went to Grand Kia to get an oil change on my K5. Next thing i know, they're telling me my tires are shot and i need 4 new tires. Mind you, i bought my Kia from this dealership in late 2024 and these were the tires it came with. I only have 21,000 miles on these tires. No way should my tires need to be replaced. I panicked. The first one I directed my frustration at was Patty, the Service Advisor. She said she would go talk to Jim, the Service Manager. I could hear Patty standing up for me and advocating for me. Then another gentleman came to speak to me and said since the tires were out of warranty, there wasn't anything they could do. I told him "no way am I paying to replace tires that were practically brand new, there is something wrong with the tires to degrade that badly in such a short amount of time". He left and then Jim came to me. By this time i was practically in tears. "Jim please, i need you to do something to help me out here". He said he would see what he could do. He was back in 10 minutes and had found every coupon he could find, pulled a couple of deals out of his back pocket and even agreed to install the new tires for free. The price he quoted me showed me what a fair, kind man he is. I accepted his offer and he arranged for me to get a ride home, promised to have it done the same day and would find someone to pick me up at home and bring me back to the dealership when my car was ready for pick up. Dalton was my driver and he was kind and reassured me that Jim had done right By me. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Patty, Jim and Dalton for being so kind to a panic stricken woman. Nothing really grand about this place. It is very dingy and in desperate need of a cleaning. The tiles/filters on the roof are disgusting and look like they are 50 years old. There is dust all over the interior flood lights on the wall, please someone take a duster to these or something. there was a paper that looked like a kid made it in Word that was scotch taped up saying $800 will be tacked on for profit of the seller. I understand that it's a destination charge but this looked completely unprofessional with how it was made and displayed. There is music being streamed from YouTube to a bluetooth speaker which constantly played random internet ads between songs so really jarring and disruptive when trying to talk to someone. I brought up a Lease deal from another dealership and they kept wanting me to pull it up on my phone instead of just looking it up themselves which isn't great for the customer. One thing that was very odd is that they won't let you leave with numbers on a paper. They said they aren't allowed for some reason because it has my own info on it and their logo, which was a HUGE red flag for me. Literally every other dealership i went to gave me a full print out of taxes, doc fees, down payment numbers, etc. that included their dealership info and my info as the customer. Take your business to literally any other Kia dealership in the area. TLDR; This place is goon central and needs a deep clean, also will not let you leave with numbers on a vehicle. read more

After obtaining an online approval and providing 6 different total loss payout documents showing my car which got totalled is in process of being paid off by the insurance company the dealer emailed me today "urgent" saying none of the provided was enough for Kia finance to show total loss. I have them 6 different documents and 4 hours of time with the dealership and they assured me that it was. Then today they are clearly just trying to steal my down payment money through their ridiculous $75 a day and .75 cent a mile payback if they don't get it financed. Now first off I bought over 700 cars yes you Read that correctly and in years past have had as many as 9 open auto loans at a time just fine and this is literally the cheapest car I have bought in over a decade. So to be hassled like this is so scammy. It is clearly a money grab because I didn't buy all their extra add on warranties and tint and stuff tried numerous times to sneak into the deal without telling me. The new sales management at Grand Kia is TERRIBLE! I've been a loyal customer for over 17 years (purchasing 3 cars, getting all my service done there, and referring business to them over the years), but I won't be returning after my last experience. I recently ordered a custom Kia Sportage, and so far, I LOVE it. However, closing the deal was an awful experience. It started when they offered me $2300 for my trade-in, despite the fact that I had offers for $4000 and $4700 from other dealers. I countered that I would take $3300 just to get the deal done and the sales manager said no. Not "no, but we'll give you $2700." Just no. So I took the car two blocks down to CarMax and sold it to them for $4700. The delay in selling my old car caused us to close the deal on the new car a day later (on March 1). That morning I get a text begging me to come in before 2 PM so that they can put the deal on their February books. Already upset about the trade-in, I said I'd be happy to accommodate them if they'd comp me the cargo mat I had on order. Nope - they won't throw in a $150 cargo mat on a $45000 car. This deal was all about Grand Kia's bottom line and screwing a loyal customer. In case you're wondering, I'm giving them 2 stars because I liked the salesman, Randy Pewtress. Our experience has been very unfortunate. We came in for 2 cars. TWO. One they have in stock that is currently overpriced by $5000, and to order a brand new electric car. The dealership is completely unwilling to work with us. For the 1st car, my husband was able to order same car through Carmax, with a few thousand more miles (10,000 vs 12,300), for $6000 less than this dealership. They have had the car for over 2 months and unwilling to sell at value. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable. For the 2nd car, I really wanted an EV. The EV6 is a great car and I wanted to order the highest model (GT) which is already an expensive (the highest $$$) model. When we drove to the dealership to order it, the salesperson was trying to upcharge for accessories. Apparently there's no simply ordering the most expensive mod without any extra crap?! Salesperson literally said we couldn't order without Kia "slapping" 2 extra accessories on and charging us anyway. What?!? This dealership is just ridiculous it would seem. Dell Smedely service adviser for grand kia over charged me $208 for theft damage covered by my insurance . The agreed estimate for repairs per USAA estimate of record is/was $1294 ; to get my car back I was forced to pay $1501. ripped off for $208 both Smedely and his boss refuse to fix the over charge told USAA insurance adjuster the don't want me in the shop. Grand Kis also missed some damage; I will have to get repaired at another shop. The windshield whipper arm assembly was damaged from theft attempt, no wiper fluid in reservoir when I picked up "repaired" car ,meaning they never tested the sprayer that was completely damaged . They replaced my side view mirror. When I went there a few weeks prior to them putting it on, I had to order it and they told me with paint labor and parts it would be x dollars. Then when I got there because I had to make an appointment to have them put it on at the service department the guy said that it would be $170 for labor. My side view mirror wasn't even completely broken the back of it just fell off and they replaced that part. Which did not take long at all put on. I was there for an hour and a half, and he did take money off at the end. So I was curious as to how they figure out what labor will cost and what they used to decide that. Then the mirror was not even painted and he said that I would need to come in on a Wednesday to get it painted and that it would cost another $198! I relate to him the information that I was given before when I originally paid for the part, and was not told that I was going to be charged for labor and an additional amount for the paint. I'm irritated by the lack of communication on their part. Honestly I was disappointed and felt like I was taken advantage of. I'm definitely not going to go back to get it painted at that price for such a small part and something simple. If you have something small like this I would recommend you go to an auto body shop local, and get what you pay for. read more

Hidden fees. My daughter went to their website looking for a vehicle and found one she was interested in, that they had in stock, on the lot. She called them, asking them about the total cost, and drove to the dealership to test drive the vehicle. When she was given the final price on paper, it was almost $3500 above the price on their website and what she was originally told. She was told it was an "Express Delivery" or a "Convenience Fee", even though it was for a vehicle they had on their lot. Not a destination fee, or a conveyance fee, but basically a fee because it was the only model they had. So, she went across the state border to another dealership and got the same model from another dealership that had one on the lot, and in stock. Guess what? No "Express Delivery" or "Convenience Fee" at that dealership. And yes, she drove off that lot with her new vehicle. read more

I've been buying cars and dealing with various dealerships all over the country for more than 40 years. Like many of you, I've had wonderful experiences, and not so wonderful ones. However, my experience with Grand Kia is by far the worst experience I've had in my life. The majority of car salespeople that I've dealt with were generally personable and made an effort to get to know you and work with you. They cared or at least seemed to care. However, John Lee and his manager, Joe, were far from that. They were, to say the least, your stereotypical car salespeople who I have been very fortunate to avoid all these years. The only concern was making the sale; giving the illusion that they cared, telling you what you wanna hear, making promises that they had no intention of keeping and undervaluing one's trade-in. My intent is not to bash the profession. As I mentioned earlier, I've had wonderful experiences with the majority of car salespeople and dealerships. I only want to comment on my experience with Grand Kia and with specific individuals. Avoid them if at all possible and bring your patronage elsewhere. Kias are wonderful vehicles and a great company. I was just shocked of how dishonest and deceitful Grand Kia and the individuals mentioned were and of their blatant resistance to work out a reasonable deal. read more

We came here to look at cars and do a few test drives for my sisters first car. Walking in we felt a lot of animosity towards us. We were not greeted for 35 minutes with about 5-7 workers on the floor, not even a "Hello, we'll be with you in a minute or two.". Even though we had a 12:30pm appointment time and had arrived 15 minutes early. It was very awkward to be in that establishment and we will definitely not be coming back. I would say it felt a little prejudice and uncomfortable to be there. After leaving we received a phone call 15 minutes after the appointment asking if we were going to make it. We explained to them that we had waited a long time without receiving any help and would moving forward elsewhere. Experience was definitely a 0/10. read more

I wanted to purchase a 2022 Kia Sorento PHEV that was due to arrive at the dealership in a couple of weeks. The MSRP was within my budget and I had already used their website to value my trade-in. That's when things got dicey. I asked the sales person to put the numbers down on paper. They added in $2000 for "expedited delivery," which is basically dealer markup. Then they offered me nearly $4K less on my trade than the KBB offer generated on their own website. My 2021 vehicle was in immaculate shape and they had no valid reasons for the reduction in the trade-in value. They said, "You will be saving money on taxes when you trade it in, so that will offset the lower value." So they added $2K on front end and another $4K on the backend to their dealer profit. The sales manager had no intention of offering me any more for my trade. I walked out, thinking if they had moved just a little bit on price, there would be a new 2022 Sorento PHEV sitting in my driveway. Other new vehicles on their lot have dealer markups of anywhere from $3,500-$6,300. I would recommend you find a dealer selling new Kia's for MSRP and avoid Grand Kia. read more

I was having a problem with my 2017 Kia Sportage. The date and time just disappeared from the screen. I have been taking my Sportage to Medved where I purchased the vehicle. When I bought the car i also purchased a vehicle service package. Which states on the coupon, what exactly it includes. It says synthetic oil to be changed every 7500 miles, filter changes and courtesy inspection. Medved put in regular 5w30 oil to be changed at 5000 miles. When I asked about it the service manager told me Kia doesn't require synthetic oil. They also came up two other issues. I need a new battery and front brakes. Battery $172.90 and front brake job $210. So this time I called Grand Kia and was told to bring it in at 5:00pm that evening and was told it was a software issue from Kia. They reset the cars computer, washed my vehicle and I was back on the road 30 minutes later. Wow, I was impressed! I'll be going to Grand Kia from now on. read more

We are a older couple looking to buy a new EV6 and the customer service we received was unacceptable. Put $500 and did online order in the Dealership 12 to 15 weeks for deliver. We were told we couldn't given 14 days to get financed but given 4 DAYs. We would lose the vehicle unless we agreed to come and finish the purchase transaction. We were asked while getting the paper worked signed that we had 14 days to buy or financed that didn't happen. Very disappointed in managements way of selling and the PRESSURE on us is all B$. Wait all that time and still got the (CAR SALES) trap. If u like PRESSURE after waiting 3 months or more WELL I'm sure nothing will be done they all should be ASHAMED of the way they conduct the dealership. This is a story of how Grand KIA sold my RSVP first edition ev6 car to someone else. I have the vin number but not the car. I wonder what I can do with the vin number, definitely cannot drive it to work. I started talking to Randy at Grand KIA about my RSVP on the first edition of the EV6. Randy basically has no knowledge about the first edition, so I have gone out of my way to give him whatever he needs. We were having a fine relationship. I mostly communicated through email and sometime phone. I prefer emails(because it keeps a record). Email communication was working fine for both of us. I went on a long vacation after 3 years of covid. I told Randy about this and instructed that we keep communication through emails. On July 8th, without ANY prior emails from Randy or Grand KIA, Randy email me and told me that they sold my car to someone else. In the email, Randy specifically told me that he tried to communicate with me through phone, text and EMAIL. Though they did attempt to contact me through phone, I have never received an email until after they sold the RSVP car. I was not in the US. There is no way to receive phone call and I did inform Randy about my vacation. Nowadays, all emails are linked directly to phone so there is no way I would miss such an email. Still with benefit of the doubt, I went back and check all my emails communication in that time span and ascertained that I did not miss any. I immediately sent a reply to Randy. Well, funny enough, Randy is super active with his email reply and continuing telling me that I have missed all communication and asked me to contact the sale manager, Andy. I gave Andy a call and ask what the case is. He said the exact same thing with Randy. I asked them to provide proof that I miss emails. Andy said that I should have proof already. Of course, I have it. That is why I gave Grand KIA a chance to prove that I am wrong since I might accidentally delete the email, but Grand KIA seems to take it in a completely different direction. Or might be they just don't care. Supply constraints they can do whatever they want. I am leaving it open here and willing to change all of this IF Grand KIA can provide proof that I have missed the emails that were meant to inform me about the sale of the RSVP car PRIOR to selling the car. Well, there you go guys, this is my side of the story. I will let you be the judge of it. What's next: Andy claims to help me getting another EV6 soon. I asked if I can get a discount since they sold the RSVP car, he told me other places are selling 10k above asking price (playing the supply constraints power). As a matter of fact, I talked to 2 other dealership and they are promising to sell at MSRP. Peak KIA is one of them. I communicated that information to Andy and his final reply was: "Do you want to place this order or not?". Lol. What a power question! Service department is phenomenal. My car's engine got screwed up due to metal shavings in the oil. Originally my extended warranty was going to cover it but KIA stepped in and said the lifetime warranty takes care of everything. They took my car got it assessed, ordered the engine and had it replaced in under a week. Also gave me a rental during that short time frame. read more

Bought my Kia Soul here in 2017 and have been bringing it in for regular maintenance. The staff are friendly and helpful. I never felt pressured to buy a car, and they were happy to let me test drive any car I wanted to try, even when I told them I was not yet ready to purchase. I went to a lot of dealerships and test drove a lot of cars before making my purchase. The maintenance folks have been efficient and informative, which I appreciate. My only complaint -- and it's not that big a deal really -- is that I cannot use the online system to make an appointment for maintenance. So I have to call to make an appointment, which means I can't see all my options, but instead have to go back and forth trying to find an opening in their schedule that works with mine. Not that big a deal, but I wish the online appointment system worked better. read more

But, in this case it was so bad that I'm inspired to save others from any more of this poor behavior. I will not go into the long and disappointing story but i have never in my life been treated so poorly. The customer service, was nonexistent. I almost felt like I went there to be abused instead of getting a service. The story is jaw dropping.
