She was incredibly efficient, attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel so welcomed. I had requested something and asked if it could be brought out before my food got cold, and Arlette literally went above and beyond, she had the cooks grill it quickly so I could enjoy everything while it was still hot. That level of care and attention is something you don't experience everywhere. The food was absolutely delicious, but honestly, Arlette made it taste even better. After watching the magnificent opening performance of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" at The Smith Center, Diane and I drove to The Palazzo for another highly anticipated post-play dinner here. This time I was determined not to over-order like I have in the past. I began with something I had never eaten before--General Tso's Chicken--just to try it. This starter was well made, but I didn't like it. The spicy Soy Garlic Sauce that coated and blackened the white Cauliflower overpowered the more subtle taste of the vegetable. So, while eating this app I missed the traditional pot-cooked steamed variety of Cauliflower that I commonly slather with butter. Sometimes making it simple and unadorned is better than fancifying a dish. Then, besides again downing a whole loaf of Cracked Sourdough Bread with butter, I enjoyed Chicken Lettuce Wraps as my entree, while Diane had Cafe Beef Wellington, which was initially served without puff pastry. This was rectified, and then she very much liked her choice of main, along with included Mashed Potatoes and Madeira Wine Sauce. The chunks of chicken to be inserted in the lettuce cups were moist, and the lettuce was fresh and green. Accompanying Asian Sauce and Mustard Sauce contributed to a fine meal. I filled six lettuce cups, ate four of them, and took two of them home for a welcome lunch. Service by Shalesa P. was slow on initially receiving requested butter, but very good from then on. I visited the Grand Lux Cafe at The Palazzo and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience, despite a few bright spots. The food simply wasn't good - the quality declined since prior visits. In addition, my order did not come out as specified from the kitchen. To make matters worse, they were installing new systems during my visit. The entire staff seemed to be visibly struggling with the rollout. For example, when I asked a busboy for coffee, he told me I had to ask the waitress because he didn't know where she kept it. Strange. The only saving grace was my server, who was super sweet and doing her absolute best under the circumstances. However, the system issues and poorly executed food ultimately made for a highly disappointing meal. Hopefully, management gets these issues sorted out soon. read more

Great place for late night hunger. They offer complementary bread and butter. My favorite item to order is the sausage and mushroom pizza. The crust is thin and crispy. It has a good amount of toppings and it's not overly salty. They offer a lot of good items that you can share. Service is good for late night. They were friendly. Grand Lux Cafe is the more elevated version of its sister store The Cheesecake Factory. The menu is HUGE! There is something for everyone on the menu. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes were generous. Our breakfast was good but the waitress seemed a little overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was juggling. It wasn't a bad experience we just felt bad for her. The food was served hot but did take a little bit of time to come out. We were able to get a table without a reservation for a late breakfast but there was a line waiting to get in when we left (closer to hotel checkout time/lunch). read more

We are here twice for breakfast on our four day vacation. I love a place that offered fresh squeezed orange juice (even if it is $10!- it's a big glass). I ordered the Fontina Omlette and it was light and decadent all in one bite. Filled with spinach, bacon, mushroom and caramelized onions - incredible flavors. I will say, the portions are huge. I could only eat half! Consider splitting? We ordered the eggs Benedict but those were a normal portion. Our waitress Jine was full of smiles and energy and was always checking in on us- exactly the energy we want on a vacay. Coffee is solid, also! Decent option for a standard breakfast meal. Even though we were at their cafe, they have the full breakfast menu that you can order from. We got the deluxe breakfast sandwich which comes with a sandwich on brioche bread and has a side of hash browns (shredded variety) for $18.95. The sandwich was a pretty good size and everything was seasoned well. The tomato in it added a nice freshness. Hashbrowns were well cooked. After a long day hitting the tables & seeing the sights of Las Vegas sometimes a quiet meal back in your suite with a beautiful view of the strip is just what the doctor ordered. And sometimes the next morning when you just don't feel like heading anywhere too far a follow up breakfast in the same spot really hits the mark. Enter grand lux, literally steps from the Palazzo elevators and super simple to order from their extensive menu online for takeout, it was the perfect way to grab that bite and head back upstairs. Having starbucks right in between on the walk back didn't hurt either. Both times meals were ready to go when I showed up. Asian nachos slapped like they always do, pot stickers equally delicious. There's nothing special about the Grand Luxe. It's basically a Cheesecake Factory. They are the same restaurant group. What I love about the Grand Luxe, is that there is something for everyone. The food is consistent and reliable and overall okay/good quality. As far as chain restaurants go. It's a top 5 for me. We typically eat here when in Vegas staying at the Palazzo/Venetian. The Venetian location is 24hrs and the Palazzo location is open until 2am. Beat place to eat in the weeeeeeee hours. They also make wonderful Oatmeal cookies. The restaurant is so huge that there was no wait on a Sat night despite it being crowded inside. Spicy vodka pasta - 5/5: Vodka pasta is my go to and this is one of the better ones I've ate. I'm not usually a fan of spicy pasta, but this one was really good. I also liked the pieces of sausages in there. Shrimp scampi- 3/5: The pieces of shrimp were big and good flavor. My friend and I were staying at The Palazzo and came here to eat lunch around 11 am. Ambiance: Decor was nice, warm tones that made it feel cozy. Seating was comfortable. Service: We were seated right away and given menus by the hostess. The dining area we were in was full, but not crazy packed. A couple of minutes after we sat down, our server greeted us and asked if we wanted to put in any drink or starter orders. We knew what we wanted, so we put in our order. Got our drinks within a couple minutes and got our food in less than 10 minutes. Food & Drink: One of my favorite things from the meal was my drink! I got a "Passion Fruit Ginger Crush" So delicious! It even had some candied ginger as a garnish. I got a roasted turkey & brie sandwich with fries. The fries were good, seasoned well, nice and crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. I wish the sandwich was served warm and toasted, would've been so good if that brie was warm and the bread was toasted. I don't know if they'd be able to do that for you, can't hurt to ask. The happy hours are the same hours, but the menu continuously goes up in price...it is still reasonable, but a once impossible happy hour to get into is rather easy now because of the price jump. We got there about 4:30 and got a great table and an equally great server to take care of us. We both ordered a beer, now 7 dollars on HH, but better choices. Hub got a Stella and I got an Atomic duck IPA. Hub got chicken spring rolls again, his favorite at now 12.50 and I tried for the first time some potato spring rolls and asked for no bacon. They over compensated and put extra cheese on that was not needed, it was still very good, but I scraped off some cheese. What a diverse menu! Came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty packed. The hostess wasn't the most welcoming, but we headed straight to the bar area and were greeted immediately by our server. She brought water right away and we were able to place our order quickly. I do remember coming here years ago post an evening at Tao. This dining experience occurred post an event at the Sphere. We arrived just in time to order from the Happy Hour Menu. We sat immediately in the bar at a high top. Everything on the menu food wise is $12.50. A member in my party said those are not the normal prices but this is the Vegas Strip so to be expected and I thought still fair given the amount of food you receive. We were even given complimentary bread. I ordered the lettuce wraps as my meal. Can't really go wrong with that. It was a large size and enough to package up leftovers. I tried the butter cake, a new to me item. It was good, topped with ice cream and whipped cream. What stood out to me was the service. The wait staff is amazing, attentive, and on top of it. The kind of service you'd expect at a regular table and not at a bar top. I only wish they would have packed up my to go for me as the table was rather small to maneuver that. read more

Had a late dinner with Maddy after seeing Shim Lee. This cafe is an upscale Cheesecake Factory (which we love) they brought fresh hot bread and butter to start. So good I had to move the bread basket away. We shared a spinach dip. I had the salmon 3 ways- AMAZING- Maddy got the garlic chicken. It must have taken 25 minutes to find food to order that was 1. Gluten Free - wife 2. Vegetarian - me (not GF) The menu is laid out screwy. Why not say, Lunch items and list them. Then list all dinner items. Breakfast should be separate as well. Why not have only 1 page for salads instead of 2? The menu is extensive and complex. Dumb it down please and you won't need to lose the sophistication. We used to always hit Grand Luxe Sort of weird that you have to request bread. Why not ask if you want it instead? Came here after seeing a show at the Sphere. Was seated very quickly and waitress on point and attentive and was able to get our drinks and take our order very quickly. We ordered the chicken spring rolls and it was very disappointing. The spring roll filling tasted more like ginger chicken spring rolls with a heavy heavy flavor of ginger. It also came with a bowl of just shredded carrots with no dressing or any type of sauce except for the sweet chili sauce for the spring rolls. If you not a fan of ginger, skip this appetizer. Wish we did. Ordered the bacon cheese burger and that was pretty good. Enjoyed the thousand island sauce in the burger. Only thing I have a complaint about is the ketchup it came with for the fries, the ketchup was very salty. Never have I ever had salty ketchup. I just put it to the side and ignored it. Came here during an all-ladies Vegas weekend and we decided on a late-night meal at Grand Luxe Café (around midnight). I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. Our group ordered the shrimp pasta, salmon BBQ, jambalaya, and another Alfredo pasta dish. Every plate was flavorful and well prepared, but the standout for me was definitely the shrimp pasta -- perfectly cooked, creamy, and delicious. We also shared the seafood calamari appetizer, and that was another unexpected hit: tender, not overcooked, and nicely seasoned. Service was solid even for a late hour, and the portions were generous. Overall, this place turned out to be one of the surprise highlights of our trip. Solid plates served with panache but with a comfort food twist to it. Everything you get here is big, and tasty! Menu is large, and if you can't find something to eat here then you might as well just go get a candy bar. Plus, they have those great slices of cheescake made by the parent company. During biz trips to Vegas and attending a convention in town I've been at this location a few times for lunch. You get more than enough on the plate to satisfy. You know...huge, endless options that read like a novella. I aimed for a lighter meal and ordered the cedar-planked salmon, and shockingly, it was really good. (Ordering salmon at a "café" is usually a gamble I'd put in the same odds category as roulette, but this time the ball hit my number.) The meal came with sides: fries that were fine (nothing to text home about) and Brussels sprouts that were actually solid. But the cherry Coke made with real grenadine? Total sleeper hit. Old-school perfection. They had plenty of more indulgent options that probably screamed "Vegas vacation" louder than my salmon, plus desserts that looked dangerously good. But, I managed to show restraint...this time. Prices were reasonable (especially for the Strip), service was friendly, I was seated immediately, and the vibe was perfect for 10 p.m.: lively enough to feel like Vegas, but not so chaotic that it's weird to dine solo with luggage in tow. Afterward, it was an easy stroll across the street to finally crash at the Wynn. Bottom line: if you're landing late in Vegas and your hotel's "late-night dining" options look like potato chips and regret, have your Uber drop you at Grand Lux Café first. It's the right move. Chose this place for breakfast and made a good choice! We arrived around 9:00 and we were the third group in line and were seated in about 5 minutes. The gal at the hostess desk was not very friendly. No eye contact, no conversation or updates but other than that it was a great experience. Brandi was our server and did a fantastic job. Her service and timing was impeccable! Hubby had eggs, hash browns and bacon while I had the Belgian waffle with fruit along with a side of bacon. We also ordered some beignets (because we love them at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans) because we couldn't pass them up! We both enjoyed our meals. The syrup for the waffle was DELICIOUS! The bacon was cooked perfectly and the portion size was generous. The beignets were also good and came with a chocolate sauce and a honey bourbon sauce (which was AMAZING!) to dip in. The Grand Lux Cafe at the Palazzo is my go to place for breakfast and brunch when I am in Vegas. Stopping in for brunch since it's Vegas and I am just getting out of my room. Need a coffee and they have a never ending pour. Service is usually great (pro tip: if you have a Sapphire or above players card you get priority seating). They were a little busy but it gave me time to decide what I wanted. My waitress Karen was busy but she got me my coffee super fast and was fast with the refills. Ordered my favorite Chicken and Waffles. This is breaded and fried chicken strips served over a Belgium Waffle with warm pecans, syrup, and butter. Everything was freshly made and hot. The chicken had a nice crunch and the waffles had a nice crisp. Always a great brunch. Filling protein and carbs to start the day.
