Located just off I-10 in Denham Springs this was the perfect place to stop for a overnight stay…read morewhile traveling west out of Florida - We arrived just after 2:00 PM and we were greeted by the friendly and accommodating staff here. After a few minutes of going over the amenities we were escorted to our site and the gentleman stayed with us until we had parked and aligned with all the utilities and he verified that all our slide outs were clear of any of the trees. All the sites are pull-through sites which really makes it easy to get an early start the following morning. The site was very level and there was plenty of room to park our chase vehicle. The utilities and hookups are all well maintained and we had no issues. There are lots of things to do inside the campground although we chose just to get some steps in and visit the campground store before going to dinner in town and relax for the next leg of our trip. We were given some complimentary trinkets and souvenirs at the store of the surrounding area which was very nice of the staff and unexpected. This is definitely a place we would return to when traveling through the area everything here made for a great stay and we couldn't have asked for a better staff to interact with, this is definitely one of the top KOA's we've stayed at...

Typical of the area hotels, but got worse by the day. They did not mention the moldy ceiling or the fact that the bathroom was practically falling apart. And they have a maintenance person so there is really no excuse for some issues. From the main highway I could even see roofing missing from some rear parts of the building, so it's obvious management doesn't care. I think one of the biggest issues was the shower/tub spigot installed incorrectly. When I turned the handle from the "off" position in either direction I got nothing but hot water - so they have 2 off positions, but somehow installed so turning on from the marked "off" makes it go through the hottest water first which is pretty dumb. I hope someone doesn't get burned from this. It was pretty cold outside on my visit and I had to put the thermostat on 76 to get the room slightly warm - that's because there was a hall AC unit right outside my door set to cool and with the fan set to high. So I'm trying to warm the room while an AC is blowing cold air through the drafty door. This likely would have been a 3 if it weren't for my late night "guest" that I killed with my Bubly container. I've seen other guests also complain of roaches in reviews. Their breakfast is okay and I mainly had the pre-packaged yogurt. Their wifi speed was spotty - some nights great and other nights horrible.

Carpet looks really dirty. Furniture is nicked. The rooms are small. The rooms are very damn not bright at all like you the pictures even with the blinds open.. I don't know how they captured that. The TV is very small like a 32 inch. The beds are ok but they don't look as nice as in the pics. bathroom sink doesn't have a lot of space. Tub is are small in general. The tiles are stained or old. everything in this hotel needs to be updated definitely not worth the price. I don't know why it's listed as one of the top hotels in the area but under the Hilton name, I expected lot more. I will say that the staff was nice except for the person that checked me in the first night everyone else was nice.

We checked in and were sent on our way to our room. The elevator smelled like urine. When we neared our room, we saw the maid outside the adjacent room. When we entered our room, the she quickly turned her head and asked what we were doing and that this room wasn't ready, but it was her sharp unpleasant tone that caught us off guard. No worries, I told her but to please contact the front desk. She said I don't know who told yall it was ready but do you see it's not ready? Anyway we made our way back to the lobby, got another room, got in a different elevator, and noticed the disgusting odor again. We get off on our floor and it smells awful like a ranch mixed with urine. The room also smelled musty and like a wet dog. We tried to look past that but then there was also a disgusting hair ball on the floor, stains on the bedding and curtains, and the just total ick. I give one star to the kind lady at the restaurant and check-in and for the view of the Mississippi River. Unfortunately we were not comfortable at all during our stay. We felt disgusting and couldn't wait to leave.
