This place is amazing!! Came in with a flat tire during a road trip back home. They took us in immediately and within five minutes figured out it was a leaky tire valve. The gentleman there only charged us $5 for the part and a little bit of labor! We were amazed because they could've charged $100 or more. Color me impressed. I needed new tires and decided to stray away from my usual Mavis experience. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and honest. One mechanic wanted to let me know that my brakes didn't have much life left in them. He didn't try to push any additional service at all. This review is strictly based on price and though I rarely review I felt the price between them and their competitor warranted it. The "all in" price they gave me per tire for my vehicle was $282. Mavis offered the same tire "all in" for $216. I've replaced tires so I know it isn't rocket science though most places would have you think that it is really complex to "computer balance" a tire. My quick math is $264 more than their competitor. read more

Had a bubble on our tire and needed it replaced. We're on vacation in Upstate NY and didn't know where to go. Called Paul to see if he carried the special tire we needed and he said he could gte it pronto from his other location. The tire got there 10 minutes after we did and they popped it on in no time. Hands down BEST customer service and BEST PRICE. I first came to Grand Premier Tire of Schenectady, last year and was treated like I'd been a customer for years. I've dealt with Paul since day one, and he and his staff (I've dealt with Jay mostly) continues to go above and beyond to make sure his customers are well taken care of. From getting me in a 1/2 hour before closing on a Friday to repair a flat, to Jay, the mechanic, letting me borrow his personal spare tire until my husband's tire came in. They have the BEST prices in town (I'm a bit of a penny pincher so I've done my research)and won't pressure you into anything you don't need. Now that they've expanded from just tires to a full service garage, you can get everything from oil changes to brakes, making it one stop shopping for your car. I won't go anywhere else now.
