She has been in almost every production in the four years since and LOVES it - it is the highlight of her week, both artistically and socially. I've seen other companies where they rehearse for 5 months and end up doing just a couple of performances; YSTA has the perfect ratio of a couple of months' worth of rehearsals and 6 performances for regular-season shows (camps are more compact). The kids are responsible for everything, not just acting! Our daughter has grown thanks to YSTA not only as a singer and performer but also in her confidence and independence. We love YSTA!!!

We were amazed at what Gloria and her team could do with these kids in that short amount of time (1 week) and the joy that they all show on stage. The warmth that Gloria gives these kids transcends down and the older kids are so kind to the younger ones. The older ones even come back to direct, costume design, and watch the shows. Our daughter has been in 8 shows at YSTA now - including camps and season shows. She always grows as a performer in every show with YSTA. YSTA is our daughter's happy place, and we couldn't be more grateful to have found such a wonderful community for our girl. She will continue to go to YSTA and continue to grow here as a performer. Little did I know I was going to be seated under a massive pine tree with the only view straight ahead and no way to see the floats or parade coming until it was directly in front of our seats. So you only get a side view of the floats/bands, etc. This was not disclosed when I purchased the tickets. We were in the back row corner and everyone in this section had the tree in their way and blocking the view of the coming attractions until it was right in front of you. This was at 1540 E. Colorado Section: 1540 Aisle 3 Row: F Seat: 101 and 102. DO NOT BUY A TICKET ANYWHERE NEAR THIS ONE. My friend and I abandoned our seats and went behind others along the street and had a great view there. (see the float photo).

Very kid friends with awe sensory activities and book reading groups. I recently started school. I enjoy a different scene from my warm bedroom especially now in the summer. Studying at this library is not as pleasant as it used to be. It smells really bad in specific areas due to many homeless people. They take up all the study tables and quiet corners. Most of them sit for hours on their phone. Some Sleep for hours. It's not as quiet as other libraries but it's quiet enough to study my online classes. I'm a bit disappointed with how the remodeled. It feels more modern than homie which is no issue just not my vibe. I don't remember the library staff allowing homeless people in when I was a kid unless they looked somewhat well kept and with better hygiene. Anyways if it weren't for the homeless people and smell this library would still be my top favorite. I prefer the signal hill library now but still Billie Jean is a close way from where I live Oh and signal hill library is open on Mondays! Which is great because I study everyday of the week. I don't mean to be mean towards homelessness people. I agree there should be more done but one reality is that not all of them care to work and most are doing drugs. I can see that being of conflict in assisting them with stability. Nevertheless, I will always remember the good memories I had at this library. I practically grew up here.

I no longer live in the state, but visit every few weeks and make sure to visit the gardens every time. I've painted these gardens over the years and will continue to do so. My favorite gardens are the Rose garden, the Japanese garden and the Chinese garden. This is the perfect date spot as well as a perfect place to walk in the morning amongst nature before the day gets too hot. The children's garden will entertain the littles and they even have a water feature on the hot days. The art pieces throughout the museums are not only beautiful but historical and should not be missed. There is a great coffee shop to grab a cup for your walk and a great gift shop at the exit. There are a couple of quick food options as well. Parking is plentiful- but make reservations! Verdict: perfection- everyone must visit this lovely land at least once in their lifetime.

The map on the event's website was very helpful (http://www.pfarcf.org/images/taste/Taste2014Map.pdf). It lists the restaurants that have ticket sales ($30 per person), and they take plastics! They provided wristbands, a ticket, and a map. This year there were 29 participating locations. However, 2 were connected (Bar Celona and Sorisso), and one I could not locate at all (iPic). I got pretty full after the first 5 stops already, so I think the $30 was worth it. I loved Himalayan Cafe's chicken tikka marsala and Sugar Fix's smores bar. Cafe Santorini was my last stop, and the waiter was extremely friendly and amazing. The bartender at IX Tapa was funny, but the food was just average. (Since we went during happy hour, the martinis were $5. Then we found out later that on Tuesdays, Equator has $1 martinis!). The lady at Umami Burger was super helpful as well. I'll definitely be coming back to those locations. The only non-food place was the Dog Bakery, which was a great place for pet owners! The 2 places I would not return: 1) At Vertical Wine Bistro, the hostesses told us we could choose anything on the happy hour menu. But the waitresses told us we were limited to fries and margherita pizza. After we sat for 5 minutes waiting for a waitress, the group before us told us they ordered fries and pizzas but they waited too long and were leaving. After another 5 minutes, we got the fries. After another 5 minutes, we left and let the next group get our pizza. 2) The worst place was Meat District Co. The guy seated us and never came back with menus or waters. In fact, nobody came around until I flagged someone down to get water for us. We left after 10 minutes of waiting.

They state no food allowed, but I brought in my own snacks. We also stopped by the gift shop which had some unique items.
