Overall very clean and not too crowded on a Wednesday afternoon. They have four of the Jumbo washers (9 loads) and the staff on duty was very helpful and polite. A little bit of a learning curve to use the machine payment mechanism but she was more than happy to help. Of note, you must have cash to load a card and the card itself costs a few bucks. You essentially purchase a card for $2-3 and then reload the card with your debit/credit. Once you don't need that card anymore, you can return it to them for your money back. I'm lucky, I have a washer. Recently I had to replace it. Not fun but I could afford it. But I had to use this laundromat for an afternoon. It's nice enough but the exploitation of people who cannot afford their own machines is disgusting. The exorbitant expense, the manipulation of their money, taking only cards and forcing you to put far more in the owners pockets than you need in order to complete your loads. The odd pricing that will always leave your card with just short of what you need to do another load. Truly disgusting exploitative tactics. Yo prey on the less fortunate. read more

One of the most confusing laundry places I've been. The card machine doesn't work. Had to ask the worker for change. The payment is weird I loaded $5 into the card and they charge like $2.78 for a washer but I need to load another $5 for the card to work? The dryers ask for .48? I don't use the laundry mat very often but when the heavy winter blankets need a good wash, I come here. Maria is almost always on duty and she is the nicest helper. The machines and the equipment and the shop itself are all kept very clean looking. It has its own parking lot area but can fill up if you get there later in the afternoon. The machines all use a pre-paid card system, which you buy there. So first you load a card with cash (so definitely bring cash but there is a general ATM machine inside also so expect fees if you use it) and then you insert the card into the machine when you use them. The larger front loading washer machines range from around $4-$10 I think. The top loading washer machines start around $2.5. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, they have 1penny/minute for the dryer machines. You use the card to pay for everything, even laundry detergent and dryer sheets if you happen to forget to bring your own. All around nice place to go. I'll definitely keep coming back. I took off one star only because I rarely ever carry cash so it's an inconvenience for me. read more

Place as a whole was clean and alot of machines to do your laundry....call me old fashioned but you can't pay with your credit card or coins...you have to buy a pay-card for $5 or more...if you don't use it all , the card is still good but only at this location , or you can cash it in and get your balance in cash from what's left on the card....too many moving parts to pay for this guy....sorry....doing your laundry should be simple , not here.. read more

I only spent about 10 minutes in this laundromat but it was 10 confusing minutes. All the confusion for new customers can be easily avoided with a simple notification that credit cards nor cash are accepted by the machines and that the card system requires a $3 deposit and that you can only add value with cash. The lady that was helping me was very nice and tried to be helpful but didn't explain any of this until I had already paid $3 for a card and didn't have enough cash left to pay for using the machines. read more

All the machines use a card that you have to fill by putting cash into a machine. No you can't use your debit or credit cards to load the card. Make sure you bring cash! They do have an ATM machine if you want to get cash, but your bank will charge you a fee to use it. Yes even the vending machines use the same card. You cannot use quarters for the machines so don't even bother. What's up with the oddball amounts for ALL of the machines? Why do they charge $2.44 or something like that? Why can't they charge like $2.50, etc?. They charge a $3.00 fee on your first card purchase which they say will be added back later. What? Why the fee charge? What if I don't come back? Location is nicely maintained and there is an attendant here cleaning and assisting with purchasing a card and using the machines. read more

I haven't had a lot of experience with laundromats but this is by far the nicest one I have ever used. There is always an attendant on duty keeping everything very clean. There is an ATM and a bill changing machine. When you add $20 to your card, they give you $2 for free! Awesome! The washing machines load sizes are 2, 3, 4, 6, & 8. The price range is $2.88-$8.98. There are 5 extra large dryers and 2 walls of regular dryers. On Thursdays, it's a penny a minute to dry!! If you have to bring kids with you, they always have a movie playing on the several televisions. They usually have the other ones set to a Spanish-speaking network. There is also a small, gated-off play area in the front of the building. There are card-access restrooms that are kept very clean. They have a couple of vending machines. There is a little office where you can buy any supplies that you might need... even hangers and laundry bags! My one gripe (not enough to warrant losing a star) is that it can get pretty stuffy. They have ceiling fans going all the time, and the doors are open. I'm not sure what the air conditioning situation is. Anyway, I don't mind it much. As fun and amazing as laundry is, Grande Laundry Place makes the experience much more bearable. read more

I spend about $40 a week here and try to go on the off days (Monday's) to avoid the crowd. 20 people there only 4 have masks, 10 kids running around. I was hesitant to go to a laundromat when my washer broke, but with a family of 4 and laundry piling up - I needed to get it done. I was pleasantly surprised at this place. I like the card system vs coins and there are tons of machines - so even if there are a lot of people here (I have come during peak times on the weekend), there seems to be enough to go around. Also - with these industrial machines, what would take me literally 2 days at home washing and drying all day - takes me 2 hours here. I can wash 9 loads in one washer... Also, it's super clean. There is a person here cleaning pretty much all the time and she does a great job. They are under construction to make it even better - and I would still give it 5 stars as is. I will probably still come here even after I fix my washer because it's so convenient to be able to clean so much at one time (including rugs, blankets, etc.) read more

Our dryer broke down after washing all of the kids bedding and we were stuck. Grande was closest to us, so that's where I went. This place is very clean and well maintained. The dryers are HUGE! They use a modern card system that you can get and load at an easy to use machine. They also have a little store if you need detergent, dryer sheets or whatever else you may need. Also several snack /drink machines if you're hungry. They even had coffee and donut holes! I never thought I'd need to use a laundry place, but I'm glad this is the one I found. read more

Went to the Center City/13th Ave location on a Sunday around 6:00. Place was packed. One entire counter was taken up by patrons eating their dinner with all their food strewn out like it was a restaurant. Our machines had laundry detergent crusted in the detergent well from another patron, and paper towels littered the tops of the machine. Carts were scarce and several were being used as go-carts from unattended children. Pay bathrooms? Would NEVER recommend this place. Not sure what the hype is about. read more

It been a while since I visited a laundromat. I use to wash my clothes here but I moved. Now that I had a need for big machines I came here. What a place. Best word to describe it is clean! I have to mention that I did come in a Saturday night and the place was nearly empty. The machine looked clean, every table looked clean. No smell of mildew and great customs service. The lady on staff was busy cleaning the machines and putting some liquid in them I hope yo clean them. When the soda machine took my money and gave me no soda, she pulled a soda from the machine. I have to day it was a good experience. They have machines of all sizes. Yes it is pricey, example $9.98 for a 9 load machine. That is the highest. Everything else is $6, $4 and other. They way I see I I rather pay to see someone actively cleaning machines and the place then washing in a dirty place. I will come again when I need it. read more
