When I walked in and asked the person at the counter about getting same day service, I could tell immediately by the look she gave me it wasn't going to happen. She shrugged her shoulders, gave a big sigh, looked around (by the way, I'm the only customer in the store). Finally she went and asked someone whether or not this was possible. Mind you, this is a Monday morning, non-holiday. Just your typical work week day. When she came back I was told it would be ready "after 5" and she emphasized the after 5 part. When I asked her what that meant she said they closed at 6:30 so it could be ready anytime up until they close. I asked about the advertisement that stated in by 9am out by 5pm and she just said it supposed to be "after" 5pm, and 6:30 is after 5pm. Well, 9:30pm is also after 5pm for that fact! I was in a huge bind and couldn't find a place on Sunday so I researched on the internet to find a place that could get it done and was HUGELY disappointed in the false advertising for this place. They may actually do good work for all I know, but what I needed they failed miserably. So, my solution to the problem? I had to go out and buy a brand new shirt. I can't remember the last time I ever needed same day service but when I have done it in the past at other cleaners, it's always pretty simle and straight forward. I don't know why this was such a big deal for one white cotton shirt but you can be sure I will never be back to this place.

It may sound pricey, but I get my jeans on sale and spend some extra for having them fit me for my go-to favorite jeans. They close at 5:00 on weekdays, so it's a bit tough to pick up after work, but they are open on Saturdays till 2:00, so that's when I go pick up.

I have been a customer of Pleats for more than 7 yrs. maybe even close to 10 yrs. During this time of course mistakes have happened and they were either resolved or I ignored them and continued my patronage of Pleats, home delivery service and on site service. I will say that my recent experience with them has convinced me to move on, never to use their service again and write this review, as a warning to other people that may be considering using their services. Incident #1- I dropped off some items for dry cleaning at the San Marcos store. When I picked them up, I was notified by the cashier, that one of my items was not there and they will be receiving it soon. We identified the item which was a very expensive linen shirt, and she assured me that it would be found and I would be notified. Weeks passed by and 0 notifications. I continuously followed up in store and the shirt was never found. I was advised to call Lou and make arrangements. Incident #2- I dropped off a cashmere/silk blend coat for dry cleaning and it was washed! When I picked it up the coat was completely damaged. It looked like it was decades old and dingy. The attendant which I believe his name is Paul, took pictures and agreed it was damaged. Again I was advised to contact Lou to make arrangements for both incidents. This has now been months and nothing from Pleats. I have called numerous times, sent dozens of text messages to Lou, been to the store numerous times to try and resolve and NOTHING!!!!! Not a text, not a call, not even a go screw yourself from them. More disappointing than the expense of replacing my clothing that was damaged, is the complete lack of customer service and respect especially for a long term customer that has spent thousands of dollars over the years using their services and supporting their establishment. My only option now, is spending valuable time taking them to small claims court. Pleats, let it be known that up until now, I would have been a happy customer with a call, an apology and even a discount for future services! But you couldn't even do that! Future or current customers, I hope my review helps you in making a decision wether to use Pleats for your laundry needs or not. Everyone and every company will make mistakes at some point. The true test of any company or individual is how they respond and react to a mistake or error. In this case, Pleats, Paul and Lou, you have epically failed.

We got married in 2018 and where we live we don't have a dry cleaners. Also the elements where we lived was causing reddish orange spots all over our clothes. They looked like rust stains but nothing medal was touching the clothes. I spoke with the owner and he said he would try his best to get the clothes and stains clean. I was in no rush so he had the clothes for a little over a week. When I got the call to pick them up he told me everything came out of the garments except on my husband's shirt. One of the darker stains was still there. When I came to pick them up and inspected them I was so surprised and impressed that they were looking like new and no stains. And as for the spot on my husband's shirt they were able to lighten it up so much it's barely there. I was so happy. The girl ringing me up asked if I was happy with the results and if I was sure I was okay. I told her yes because the clothes looked amazing and even the one spot had lightened up so much it was barely there. When I visit family again I'll be bringing some other clothes to get dry cleaned here. If you're local check them out.
