Operation: Ladies Weekend 2018 Mission: To sample as many wineries possible in Palisade. End result? SUCCESS! This small winery was our first stop on our winery extravaganza and it did not disappoint! ++ Staff is ultra friendly, knowledgeable and were incredibly accommodating of our group of 9. ++ 3 complimentary samples! ++ Selections include reds, whites and blends - dry or sweet! ++ Space is cute, cozy and exudes all the feels. ++ Adorable wine trinkets - think charms, magnets, towels and more! ++ 10% off any regular wine purchase, reserves not included. ++ Vineyard right out back to see the growing process! Although we didn't spend too much of our time here, it was a great introduction to the area!

Stopped in here on way home from Breckenridge, CO. Service was great and they have great tasting wine. We picked up 4 bottles of Lavande Vin Blanc (Lavender Wine) . We also picked up some Sweet Cherry Balsamic, Blood Orange Vinegar, and Sundried Tomato Balsamic.

We spontaneously decided to stop here after another winery not realizing it was 15 minutes to closing time. The woman in the tasting room greeted us without mentioning their closing time and let us taste in a relaxed atmosphere. You each get 3 free samples to your choosing, they don't limit you on what you choose. So you can even get a tasting of their reserve wines if you like. My favorite has to be the 2014 Late Harvest Viognier. I'm not a wine snob nor am I a big dry wine drinker. But if you are in to sweet wines, you can't go wrong with the Viognier. Silky smooth with hints of peach, apricots and honey the pairings are versatile. The desert blush is also crisp and refreshing, one of their frequent award winners. We had planned to go backpacking the next day so I inquired about mail ordering some bottles home. They said that they don't ship to Wisconsin but made the perky suggestion that they ship to Minnesota. Why do people think that's like right next door? It's not like I can reach over the state line and touch another state.

Friendly staff, who took his time to explain how their wines were made, their flavors, and any questions that we had about their wines, which are btw, gluten free! We pretty much just asked to taste any of the wines on the list, and we're given a sample. Wines are reasonably priced, and my favorite was the white dessert wine. The bf loved their merlot and cabernet franc. Worth a stop, and it's right off of 70, so it's a quick trip, that's worth the time! ..... plus you get 10% off from checking in. What's not to love :-)?

Tasty reds and amazing service from Onyx. Beautiful views of the mesa on one side and the Colorado Monument on the other.

Pours were a bit small, I realize they are just a taste but barely enough to give me the taste I need to know if I want to purchase. Not size as far as portion, but size as far as selection. We visited 7 wineries that day alone and it was the only one who gave three free pours as opposed to five. They are very good wines though. Super delightful staff but the best part was the gift and sundries!

It's a bit crowded since it is right off of I-70, but the wine is good and the people were very helpful.

Kristen was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and attentive. We enjoyed several private events at the winery throughout the weekend, and everything was beautifully done. The food was delicious and thoughtfully paired with a variety of wines from their collection. Even though the winery was buzzing with activity, the West family and staff were such amazing hosts. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel as though, in a room full of people, we were the most important guests there. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this family and their beautiful vineyard. Their attention to detail was impressive. While the wine was delicious, it was Kristen, her family, and the team who truly made our weekend fun, relaxing, and memorable. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our trip so special. We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be back!

Restoration Vineyards, Palisades , Colorado - July 13, 2026…read more This is a beautiful winery with a modern indoor tasting room and large beautiful outdoor covered grassy area with lots of tables and chairs that has a nice stage for music events. We tasted indoors. Zander was our server and he was terrific! My wife and I shared a tasting and Zander did a great job describing the wines. The wines I've tried from other wineries in this area typically aren't my favorite. I tend to pick up a flavor that is faintly herbaceous on just about every varietal I've tried. Kind of like a stemy character. Not overpowering, but just not my favorite. Not the case with any of the wines we tried at Restoration. The flavor profiles were spot on. All the wines we had were terrific - Chardonnay, Riesling, Rose, Semillon, Pinotage, Barbera, Cab. Franc, and Red Blend. Winery owner, Gary, happened to hear me mention how much I liked the wines here and how I had been picking up the stemy character from other wines in the area. He explained that Restoration uses a unique processes to help eliminate that character. Realizing how much we liked the wines here, Gary opened a bottle of Semillion that was not part of the tasting flight. It had won a double gold medal at the San Francisco Wine Competition and came in second in Best of class. What a delight! I highly recommend this winery!

Even though it was 95°F outside, we stayed comfortable thanks to the plenty of shaded seating and outdoor misters. There are cozy chairs on the lawn where we spent quite a while enjoying our wine and the scenery. The winery is also pet-friendly both inside and outside, which was a huge plus for us. They don't serve food, but they typically have food trucks on-site. We did the tasting, which included all six wines currently available. My favorite was the White Blend, while my husband's favorite was the Red Blend. The staff was incredibly friendly. After we ordered our tasting inside, they even brought the remaining pours out to me while I was relaxing outside, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, Restoration Vineyards offers beautiful views, great wine, excellent service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We would absolutely visit again.

So disappointed. I have wanted to stay here for some time…read moreas we drive through Palisade frequently. When we arrived, it appeared we'd interrupted the young lady checking us in. She seemed less than interested in our arrival. We'd arrived later in the evening. Our room was vey nice. Very comfortable. We decide to venture to the jacuzzi. No towels in the outside basket. We had to go inside to request clean towels. When the towels came out, we ask the young lady how to make the jets work in the jacuzzi? "Oh no, they're not working." No sorry, no other explanation, she just walked away. We did manage to get two jets working. It was pleasant. Breakfast was okay. Nothing special. The lady preparing the food was very nice. Checking out was easy and the young gentleman pleasant. Trouble started after we left. Our fault. We'd left our swimsuits in the closet. Have to say, 30 years of traveling we have left things behind in our hotels. Kids left toys, pillows, blankets.... It does happen. Not often! I called when we realized this, Tuesday after we'd departed. I explained we'd left our swim suits hanging in the closet. The woman said she'd check lost and found??? I'd given her our room #. She said the cleaners had not finished their rounds yet and to call back later. Okay then, but I just gave you the room number and told you where they were? Again our mistake, but where is the customer service? I was told to call back at the end of the day. I called at the end of the day. Great swimsuits found. I was then told the person who sends packages would be in touch in a day or two. Okay then.... Nope. I called again on Friday, giving the full two days for someone to call. I was then told the person is new and must have missed it. Okay, what now? Well, "you have to make a USPS for your package and we will send it on Thursday". What? "That's the day we send out mail". You cannot be serious. Why was I not told this when I initially called. I would not have to wait another week. Customer service is a big issue here. I should say severe lack of customer service! So disappointing. Yes we did get our suits. Again our fault for leaving them, but I never had such poor customer service.

I had booked two rooms as we were traveling with another couple. They let us each pay for our own rooms separately at check-in. The rooms are very nice. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Our rooms both had mini fridge and microwave which was a nice touch. The views were beautiful. There was an evening reception where we were offered a glass of the wine from the property vineyard. We sat out on the porch to enjoy the wine and the evening. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and were quite enjoyable. This was a great location for our stay. I would come back.
