I've been going to Grand Lux in Flower Mound for about a year maybe more. I haven't been go every few weeks but I would say I was a regular...until now. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made an appointment a day or two in advance with Mary for a manicure and pedicure, she is supposed to be the best there and in the two previous times I had her do my feet she was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I showed up a few minutes early as i was on a schedule that day. I was told to go have a seat and proceeded to wait for 20 minutes with no explanation. I could see she was working on another customer's feet and didn't seem to be getting close to finishing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made it clear to the manager I wasn't happy and that I was about to leave, he said he could have someone else finish the other customer and he would get another very good tech to do my manicure at the same time. He said his wife would do it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I decided to give it a try since i had been trying to get there for some time. Both the manicure and pedicure were awful. I told the tech i liked my fingernails a certain way and of course she ignored that. The pedicure she barely removed any of the toenails length which mean i will need to cut them again where usually i don't need to for at least a month or even 2. I don't have tome to spend getting my fingers and toes done every couple of weeks so i expressly tell the technicians that i need them short. That was all ignored by both techs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This isn't the end of the world but in my opinion they didn't honor the consecutive appointments I made, nor did they respect my time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be going somewhere else to work with people that actually have their act together. I feel like I was ripped off in paying for a lousy manicure and pedicure. Coupled with the lack of respect for my time they deserve to lose my business and you should question if you are willing to put up with this kind of BS too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only gave a 1 because a 0 wasn't an option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I started going to this place a few months back, the first few times everything was great. then it all started going down hill. my nails were never done correctly or the technician was rude. Even though i order the same services every time. I tip them and try to not be a jerky customer, well today i paid $200 at the store, only to get an alert from my bank that i had a new $90 charge processing from Grand Lux nails. When i called the salon, they said I had been "under" charged for my services so they just "updated" my fees. They never got my permission to retain my credit card info nor bothered to call me before making this charge to my card. Mind you, i've been getting the SAME services for months and the menu board reflected no change in service pricing. Buyer beware, make sure you only pay cash in this place. I would strongly advise going to a more reputable company. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for over 10 years. They have actually changed a lot. And the gentlemen at the front counter seems to be quite rude. I made An appointment for today. And when I showed up for my appointment, I was told I did not have an appointment in a extremely rude manner. I have tried several of their nail teks. I like quite a few of them but the last time I was told that acrylic would be better and I was outrageously charged. For nails that have lifted like crazy. I did tell the girl that acrylic lifts for me. And I would probably not be happy with it, but she insisted. So a $100 plus a very nice tip later. These nails have not lasted me.And I had to go buy nail glue at walgreens, So I was going to get them replace there. Spokennoise but was treated with search disrespect. Andrewdness, that I am seeking a new nail salon, They know I am a good client income every 3 weeks in tip. Astronomically, because I am a Barber. And believe in tipping, very well for a good service, Unfortunately, I believe that was flagged and they overcharge me and give me terrible service, I will be seeking a new nail shop.Because I walked out today, After I was told I did not make an appointment which I did and he wanted to put me with one of his new nail text and not the girl that I requested I am no longer willing to dump money into a place that does not care about the clientele, Like I've said, I've been coming here for over 10 years. I went in for a polish change on Monday, June 23, 2025. I got a polish change by the time I got home it had bubbled and was rough in texture. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the immediately and they agreed to rep polish the nails set the appointment for Wednesday at 4:30.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got there today and [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sean the person who is at the front desk kept checking my nails which were obviously bubbled and cracking then he proceeded to say they were shortstaffed and now my appointment would be quite some time I could sit and wait and I said that's OK.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd prefer a refund and he said no no no you just come back and we redo them. I said no I'll take a refund. Thank you. I don't care to come back and he proceeded to deny the refund they do not stand by their word. I've gone to them for 10 years since they opened in 2014 by market Street and flower mound and they have changed hands multiple times and their service level has gone down to very poor. I cannot won't recommend them anymore and I won't be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a simple polish change that wasn't done right and could've been easily remedy. Great experience at Grandlux! Stopped in for quick gel polish change ($25) which included variety of drinks and shaping cleaning of nails. Linda did a super job on polish and I was done in under 30 minutes. Will come back for relaxing pedicure next. Nice clean, huge nail salon right next to Market Street Grocery -- tons of seating (girls spa day would be perfect here) and 6 TVs on with HGTV and food shows -- no sports or news but that's ok! I don't usually leave reviews, but I highly do not recommend this salon. No soaking for removing nails- JASMINE T went straight to the machine. I have sensitive nail beds- so when I yelled from the heat of the machine.. I decided I should give my nails a break and not do another gel dip. The service was downhill from there. I understand there was a language barrier but getting the manager for every miscom we had was rather off to me. At one point she asked if I liked the file shape, I said yes, and she got the manager.. he came to ask if there was a problem. Anyways, before she even put a top coat, she insisted i paid NOW, and took my card so idk what I'm going to pay, nor how my nails look as a end result. I'm used to paying with my hands done. So that was lame. While she's putting the top coat I'm wondering when I'll get to wash my hands since they are still dusty/dirty from the gel dip removal. Never got told to wash nor did she attempt to brush it off. Cherry on top? - I was using a water bowl and towel near by to get the dust off my hands, when JASMINE came back to take those items away from me! I usually love this place but the last time I went wasn't at all great. My sisters and I got Nexgen nails and also added a few designs. My nail tech was extremely rough and careless while filing my nails and cut my pinky finger open. The rest of the time was okay. But now, a week later, my nail is ruined. I can be complicated when it comes to design but she gave me just what I wanted. My best friend and I visited the salon today for a manicure and pedicure. We have been going here for the last few years. Today, was horrible! I was cut twice - once on the toe and the other time on the finger. The manicurist was in such a hurry - I'm surprised I was not cut more. My finger is swollen, very red, and swollen. I'll be finding another place. There is no reason to hurt someone when they just want to be pampered. My best friend requested a manicure and they were so disorganized that they never had a manicurist start her manicure, and we had appointments. They were so disorganized today it was incredible. I came in today to get a gel manicure and pedicure. I had someone working on my toes and someone working on my nails, both managed to make me bleed. And not even just a little, a lot and it was painful. I understand sometimes that happens so I didn't say anything. When they finished, they asked for my card before I could even get my shoes back on. I went up to the front to get my card back, and saw 3 ladies surrounding the screen. When I asked what the problem was, they said they accidentally over charged me and had to re do the payment. When I asked how long it would take for the initial mischarge to be refunded, the lady laughed and said "I don't know". Not very funny to me, especially since they ended up charging me DOUBLE what I should have been charged and I still have no idea when I'll see those funds back in my account.
