Not only were they able to do the half dozen, but they also moved up the order a few days early because I couldn't wait. The staff went above and beyond with customer service and were so friendly. Not only was the service amazing, but the cupcakes were so good. We got a vanilla base with white icing, pink and blue sprinkles, and a blue icing on the inside. The cake was amazing and the cupcakes were frosted just the right amount. The cupcakes were soooooo good. So I took a look at their menu and WOW! They have some really unique options that you won't find anywhere else. Their signature cake is Herbs de Provence, four layers of honey, rosemary, thyme and lavender cake with apricot honey filling frosted with goat cheese icing. I got a Hummingbird, two layers of banana, pineapple, pecan spice cake frosted with cream cheese icing. They were able to order a custom otter edible image to put on it with a happy birthday message. This was right up the birthday girl's alley and hit a home run. The cake was the best gluten free cake any of our party have had, including two celiacs. It was one of best cakes I've had, regardless of gluten. It was moist and flavorful and just so delicious.

The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon.
