Been driving past this place for many months finally stopped in to get some ice cream at scoopjoy located next-door(Great ice cream..btw) I ordered a slice of grandma's cheese and a slice of New York style cheese ..Absolutely surprisingly fantastic. The pizza in the window doesn't look too appetizing.. BUT once they reheat it and cook it properly as an ordered slice, it is fantastic, crispy fresh !! ... well worth stopping in. I will recommend this to the quality of a Bronx style /New York St. style pizza, thin thin, thin, Krispy and floppy depending on what you want. Services extremely fast as I waited four it was 4 minutes for two slices of cheese to be heated, the ambience is very simple pretty much a takeout place but nice enough to sit down on a quick date to get on with your night. I have eaten an over 500 pizza places in my lifetime. This is definitely a great little find here in (Suwanee GA). As far as the the Dave Portnoy rating scale. I would rate this an 7.9. read more

I had high hopes for this place given the buzz, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The crust, which should be the star of any good pizza, was disappointingly bland and rock hard--more like over baked bread than a proper pizza base. The sauce lacked any real depth or seasoning; it tasted like canned tomatoes dumped straight onto the dough without much thought. We ordered a white pizza, a grandma pie and a supreme . All three, oddly enough, were somehow both dry and flavorless, with cheese that didn't melt properly and basil that looked like it was thrown on as an afterthought. Ugh, so sad that this place continues to disappoint as I really wanted it to be our weekly pizza spot. We've ordered about 6 times now so I feel like I can give a pretty comprehensive and fair review. First, the good...pepperoni pinwheels!! They are amazing, the pizza sauce that comes with it is perfect and generous (one cup per knot!). I don't love how much each of these things cost (would love a discounted 6 or 12 pack price!) but will still get these every time. Unfortunately, they are likely the only thing I ever get from here again. The other things we've tried include the fried zucchini, calamari, grandma's signature pie, bbq chicken pizza, a few other custom pizzas, broccoli knots. Where do I begin...broccoli knots were undercooked and raw on the inside both times we've ordered. The second time I called and demanded a refund (these puppies are $5 each!!) and instead was given the run around that they couldn't possibly give a refund but that I could call the NEXT time I wanted to order something and have them apply the amount then. What a bunch of bull and not exactly a legal way to handle poorly delivered goods. I typically am too busy between 2 toddlers and a high stress job to call in a pizza order. I use the online system while I'm in work meetings so I can go pick up on the way to pick up the kids. Needless to say I have yet to use my account credit that they so "conveniently" attached to my phone number... Anyway, that's the least of my complaints. Everything else we've ordered as been dry and terrible. The zucchini and calamari were like jerky versions of what you'd imagine they should be. The crust for the bbq chicken pizza was so bland and dry that even my kids refused to eat it. The chicken on the pizza...again dry like jerky. The grandma's signature was good the first time we got it and the crust was nice and fluffy. This last time we got it? like flat cardboard. WTF. It's hard to mess up bread cheese and sauce but that's what they did. This place has so much potential but has been so disappointing. read more

We came here to try NY style pizza because back in 1999 when I visited NYC never tried the pizza so this is suppose to be the style.The Italian guys up front were good at taking our special custom pizza. First time trying Grandmas NY Pizza. Had a BBQ chicken pizza and caesar salad. The food was ok but for the price there are better options nearby. I was surprised to see a credit card surcharge of 3% tacked on as a hidden fee. This was not disclosed on the online menu that I ordered from (an online order). Since I did local pickup I didn't know about the fee until I drove there. Probably won't be going back. read more

We tried this spot while staying at the springhill suites up the street. We had two calzones and one pizza. The kids loved the pizza and not a slice was left. The calzones were delicious. They made my sons incorrect but had no problem remaking and he was super happy. It is a newer shopping center so the area is really nice. We have had inconsistent experiences with Grandmas Pizza. While one order is fine the next is missing something. Last was the take out missing all salad dressing and utensils. It made everything difficult when all we needed was convenience. This was also our first time ordering their Sicilian. It was not very good and the crust was crackery and hard to chew. Definitely vincenzas for the thick pie next time. It'll be a while before we try here again. Too many other options that remember the dressing. read more

Came to this location after a very underwhelming visit to the Lawrenceville location earlier this week. I think this location was worse. The guy was literally making my pizza without any gloves (or washing his hands before making my pizza). After boxing up someone's else order without gloves, touching the Square machine for ordering, wiping his hands on his pant, etc., he was hands first in the toppings preparing pizza. I respectfully declined and just placed my order for my pasta. When I got home to eat my clams with linguine, there was barely any clams and clam sauce was extremely bland. It lacked basic salt. I really used to love Grandma's when I first started at the Suwanee location. However, I think as they have expanded to more locations, it isn't the same anymore. Food has rolled downhill. read more

Even though we were very disappointed tonight, I'm still giving it five star because of my past experiences were all excellent, and tonight was just off or something. We went in just wanting to grab a slice, but given the hour we went, there weren't many options (which was very understandable). We decided to get a Sicilian (I've had a slice of theirs before and really enjoyed it), and I guess I wish we hadn't. The bottom of the crust needed more time to have a crisper texture, but the middle of the dough was very dense; not that chewy/doughy middle I usually enjoy. It probably also could've used more sauce, but that did not bother me nearly as much as the crust. I'd like to attribute it to being kind of late (around 8:30) on a Sunday, maybe a new person making it, or maybe just an off day. I just know I didn't enjoy the half a slice that I ate at all. I'm hoping there is something I can do with the rest of the pizza that will make it better...ideas welcome!! read more

Ordered the vegetable and put pepperoni on it had the Greek salad the pizza was outstanding thec sauce was delicious not overbearing but the Greek salad could have had more condiments but was good.
