If I want to take out a Chicago-style pizza I go elsewhere, but if I want to sit and have a brew and a Chicago-style deep pizza, I come here. Why? My wife prefers NY-style and I prefer Chicago. This was my second time coming to Two Cities, and it's going to be my last. To make a long (LONG) story short, the pizza is fine -- nothing to write home about, but when you have to wait ONE HOUR for 2 small pizzas to come to your table, while everyone around you (who was seated after you) gets their food in a timely manner, you know something's wrong with service. No explanation, no apology, no acknowledgment that either the server didn't put in the order, or the kitchen lost it. I've learned my lesson. Not worth it. read more

This place serves some solid pizza We opted for the New York style, which was called the "New York's Finest." It came loaded with pepperoni, bacon, sausage, yellow onions, green peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella, and classic red sauce. The crust was incredibly soft, and I suspect they use Hudson River water to make their dough in-house. SO SOFT AND CHEWY!!!!I also ordered two full-size salads. I started with the Chicago Greek salad and wanted more croutons(they're made in house ), so I ordered another full-size house salad. The house salad is generous enough to feed two, and the medium pizza is just as large.The service was excellent, and I was seated pretty fast despite the restaurant being quite busy. Nice location, big space, plenty of seating... and somehow still a long wait to be acknowledged. We sat for a good 5-7 minutes before our server even noticed us. By then we already knew exactly what we wanted. When she finally came over, she immediately said she had to drop something at another table and would be back. Another 3-5 minutes. Then she returned just to take beverage orders, despite us being fully ready to order everything. Drinks took another 5 minutes to arrive. If you enjoy waiting 35-40 minutes for food while slowly descending into hunger-induced existential crisis, this is your spot. You'll have plenty of time to wonder if your server forgot you exist, reconsider your life choices, and debate whether you should just go home and eat cereal. The Capone: I'm limited on dairy, so cheese was a no-go this time. Per my husband - The Capone was basically my "I'm starving and need something now" choice. Not a deep dish, but it did the job. Kids Cheese Pizza: Toddler approved. That's the win of the night. Legendary Parmesan Fries: Ironically, the fastest thing to hit the table. The other three devoured them during the 35-40 minute food drought. Chipotle Chicken Hot Sandwich: This sandwich... wow. The sauces...mayo and chipotle aioli, were literally dime-sized. The chocolate dessert was on point at the end. The service is a bit slow so you need to have time when you get here. The restaurant is pretty big in space so maybe they are just busy. As someone who grew up in Chicago, I get that craving for a real deep dish pizza and a taste of childhood. The Yul Kravitz, modified with a garlic crema sauce on top, brings me back there. My wife grew up in New York, so she goes straight to her thin crust favorite: half Fire House, half Gotham Gangster. And be sure to order some of their insanely good housemade ranch they make for dipping! We have been coming here for years, both dine in and takeout, and it has turned into a family stop whenever people visit from out of town. The staff and dining area are great, but takeout is simply my favorite way to do it and the pickup window makes it super convenient. Delivery would be even better but we live just outside their range...which is probably a good thing or I would end up ordering more than my diet should allow. Fun tip: make a pit stop in the restrooms. They dressed them up to look like a subway/L stop with train announcements over the speakers, except they lose points on authenticity because the restrooms here are actually clean. read more

I came to two cities pizza in Suwanee because my mom is having her birthday/retirement party tonight. My sister reserved the entire upstairs balcony and did some sort of a party package... When we arrived, there were already pizzas sitting out on trays, house and Caesar salad, four different kinds of wings (plain, bbq, lemon pepper, and hot), and there's a bar that you can get whatever drinks you so desire. Alcoholic drinks are extra, of course, unless you pay the extra for the "open bar" option. If you don't do the open bar option, you can still get regular drinks as much and as often as you like. If you book the upstairs floor on a Saturday night, there might be a good chance that you get a live band as well. Pretty cool! We got "Wind'er Up". They did a great job- although, they did NOT know they'd be playing for a private party. Oops! Flavor: I tried 4 different kinds of pizza and some wings. Four NY Style slices (Pepperoni, Meat Lovers minus the ham, "Firehouse", and Margarita) and a few Chicago style slices (Windy City, Rhythm Road, and Wrigley Pie). Aside from the Rhythm Road - which has mashed potatoes instead of sauce - everything was amazing. Im still torn between Chicago and NY style though. When it comes to the wings, the lemon pepper wings were my favorite- crispy, juicy, meaty, savory, salty, and sour- but they might be a bit salty to some. The barbecue wings were nice and sweet. The plain wings were nice and crispy. The Buffalo wings were somewhere between mild and medium spicy to me, but that's plenty for most people. All the wings were juicy, flavorful, and meaty. The cost of such an event is an even $1000. Since we didn't have enough people to conquer all the pizza, we had to make sure people took to-go boxes of leftover pizza or even whole fresh pizzas on their way out... We were already 3/4 done with our party and about 20 people left early, but we hadn't even broken $400 in spending on pizzas. Make sure the people you invite come out to EAT! We did end up spending a total of $991/$1000 by sending people home with whole pizzas, salads, and wings at the end of the party. The downside: The pizzas and wings are cold after about 5 minutes and ALL the food sits out in the open air- subject to insects or whatever happens to be around- birds maybe? When I let them know that all the pizzas were (unfortunately) cold, they said they'd let me know when new pizzas were brought out. They also agreed that they needed to invest in some hoods. Definitely come up to Two Cities if you're a regular party or just a person or two. The pizza is phenomenal. If you're doing a big event, request that they make sure the pizzas can stay hot for a certain amount of time (hoods, heater boxes, or whatever). Great place! Great vibe! read more

This was our first time dining here after passing by many times, and we're so glad we finally stopped in. The atmosphere is really fun and unique, but what stood out most was the bathroom--it's designed like the inside of a city train, complete with sounds and announcements. Such a cool detail that's worth checking out even if you don't need to go! Our server, Brittany, was wonderful--she kept our tea refilled without us having to ask and gave great recommendations. I've been to Two Cities Pizza a couple of times now and LOVE their pizza! We usually go for the Chicago deep dish - the Calpone is our staple and go-to - but this time we switched it up and tried their NY style pies. 10/10! I got the Thyme Square with added olives and my husband went for the Firestone, and both were absolutely delicious. The ambiance is fun too. The cab in the front always tickles me and the inside is a vibe. The only hiccup is when dining in, the service can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes it's excellent, other times not as attentive. That said, the pizza is what keeps us coming back again and again. Two Cities really nails the flavors, whether you're team Chicago or team NY. Definitely worth trying! read more

As transplants from Chicago, we have been coming here for a few years for the deep dish, which has always been close enough to enjoy. Apparently much has changed. The deep dish we received was as flat as depicted in the attached pictures. Not sure if the crust is pre-baked, but somehow they served me a deep dish pizza that was not only thin and flat, but cold in the middle. As someone who has worked in Chicago pizza kitchens, that is not possible. Was it terrible? No. Was it good? No. When our server asked how things were, I stated "not exactly good." She replied, "oh. Okay. I'll check back in 5 minutes." And with that response, we are done. There are two other pizza establishments in Gwinnett where we can get deep dish - if we really want it, or tavern style. Let me begin with the only positive, my server was great, fast and polite. Now for the negative- I had chicken wings for appetizer with split order of buffalo and dry lemon pepper - very tasty but wings are tiny. Definitely not worth $13.99 price tag for 10 wings - fail. I had a Coconut Paradise drink and the ice was sticking out of the top of cup - fail. But, the icing on the cake and why I left early and did not order dinner was the music was blaring when I walked in, so I asked to be sat in rooftop deck, as I was planning on getting some work done on my laptop. The music upstairs was even louder and so I asked the server to ask them to turn it down. She replied I will ask which I thought was odd. 15 minutes later I asked her about the music and she said that she had asked the manager to turn it down, if fact she said three other guest had completed it was too loud. Two Cities Pizza is a great pizza spot whether you are in the mood for Thin Crust or Deep Dish Pizza. Im a deep dish girlie, and my husband is a thin crust guy, so this place is the best of both worlds for us. The exterior is quite appealing in and of itself with the restaurant having a bar-like look to it with a second story that seems very inviting with its twinkly lights. The interior offers bar seating (alcoholic beverages include: beers on tap, cocktails, whiskey options), restaurant seating, etc. Parking is shared with other occupants in the shopping center, but that doesn't seem to take away from being able to find a space to park. The handful of times I've been here, I've always sat in the bar area and have always had Nikki as my hostess. She is great and is always ready to give her option on item selections. On my visit today, I was greeted by one of the managers, who was beyond sweet and did what he could to seat my husband and I ASAP. We ordered 2 beers, an appetizer, 6 count of wings, a personal deep dish (for me), and a calzone (for the hubby). All of the food was more than enough for the two of us, led us to come home with leftovers, and was well under $75 - a steal! read more

Our waiter was kind , attentive and patient great qualities in a good server . Love the extensive Local beer and drink selection but the star of the night was the food . The Caesar salad was divine !! Every piece of lettuce was covered in the dressing not too dry not too much just perfect the pepper , red onions (which I've never had on a Caesar salad before) and the croutons!!! .. oh my so so so good . I love everything about this place! From the taxi cab outside to the rooftop seating area and don't forget the unique bathroom "train stations". I've been here multiple times but last night I had the blackberry spritzer and the Rhythm Chicago crust pizza mmmm Mm! I also got a garlic dipping sauce for the crust. Our server Jandre was very busy with multiple large tables but he took time to talk to us and teach us a few words in his native language. Seating staff were terrible, not keeping track of whether our table was ready after a 25 min waitlist wait, followed by another 20 min "cleaning of the table" wait. This was my second visit. Both times I got the Bull and Bear Calzone. The first time, it was so incredibly good. The garlic Parmesan on the crust was great, as were the two sauces that came with it. Today's calzone was not as flavorful. It was beautiful, but it was just a little blah. The marinara was watery and the Ranch was very pedestrian. Not sure if it was me or the actual ingredients used. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal. The calzones were ok, but not great. We were tempted to order a Chicago pizza (being from there), but their topping selection didn't interest me. I opted for the margherita pizza with pepperoni. It was delicious! My friend went with the Miss Brooklyn and had the same sentiments. A few tips for first comers like us: 1) Join the online waitlist.
