I sat at the bar for about 10 min before someone asked me "if I was picking up an order" or "if I was placing an order." Service could be better. Nobody was in the restaurant. I think 2 tables inside and 1 table outside. Ambiance was pretty cool. I ordered the chicken florentino which was a chicken breast with a demi glaze sage sauce, topped with mushrooms, & mozzarella cheese and mashed potatoes. The food was really good. It's very flavorful and very appetizing. Next time I will stop by and dine in, instead of do a to go order maybe my experience will be different.

Really great Italian food, the garlic bread and sauce is a amazing, we just couldn't get enough. The fried ravioli was pretty good as well, but I kept coming back to the flavor of that sauce....my date ordered Salmon with some amazingly flavorful mashed potatoes with broccoli and asparagus and I went with a vegetarian option. All very tasty! The service was top tier! A great time was had, the place is great for date night, birthdays and special outings. We can definitely add this one to our weekly rotation, the food is plentiful and yummy.

The food was awesome and had low carb options which was awesome for me! I was able to get cauliflower mash with my salmon and it was so good. My dad got seafood something and my boys got a pizza and spaghetti. The server was awesome and friendly as was the host! It's nice and homie but not too homie, also had a nice sit down feel for a date or a nice family dinner. The dining room is dimly lit but you don't feel like you are in a cave. The music was just loud enough to fill the silence but not make you feel like you have to talk over it. Nice bar area as well. I didn't get a drink but the cocktails sound really good. The desserts were awesome and they had so many to choose from.

Family favorite for many years. Portions are large. My husband and I have shared a salad and calzone several times. Many of the pasta dishes are so good. Staff very friendly and attentive. Save room for dessert, the Bomba

An excellent casual restaurant that offers a refined but yet approachable dining experience. It boasts a welcoming atmosphere, from service to a menu featuring high quality prepared dishes. The restaurant is sophisticated yet relaxing, allowing guests to enjoy a memorable meal without feeling overly formal and inviting. The food was delicious. Everything was so flavorful. Can't wait to eat there again.

Delicious all around great service! A little on the pricey side for Italian. A good place for celebration. All very fresh. Not one negative thing to say.

Frutti Di Mare sans shrimp, the only photo I got of the night

Dropped in for a late dinner for four, starving from a day of roaming ATL before heading back home. Walking in, the air was filled with garlic and some kind of seafood that instantly set mouths watering. A couple of minutes later we were seated at a cozy table and pouring over the menu. Our server was amazingly friendly and helpful. She let us known they make pretty much everything to order so customization for allergies and preferences were not a problem, which as someone who loves other seafood but cannot eat shrimp was an exciting opening of possibilities. As a group we typically over order and share and this was definitely no different. We got four starters to share: fried zucchini, fried calamari, fried shrimp, and the chicken parm balls that were on special. Everything came out hot and delicious, with sides of one of the best marinara sauces I've had. The breading was light and crispy, the zucchini was buttery and bright, the calamari tender with just the right amount of seasoning, and the chicken parm balls... THE CHICKEN PARM BALLS. If they're on menu, get them. Moist and flavorful with a cheese pull to dream about. The shrimp were large (I was told they were delicious). Add some garlic knots and more marinara and we had to stop ourselves from polishing off those plates before entrees came out. Sad, but they were gracious enough to pack up our leftovers and keep them warm in the kitchen while we finished. On the Mains... oh the mains.... Frutti di mare..... muscles and fresh clams and the most tender calamari you can imagine in a sauce full of chopped garlic and tomato and, I don't know, love from whoever was making it in the kitchen. They were able to remove the shrimp completely to accommodate my allergy, and one of my friends got the same bit with giant shrimp. Thick seafood goodness covering well cooked linguine and a side of toasty garlic bread.... I didn't want to stop but it was a long drive home. Will definitely be back for this dish alone. The other two mains were carbonara and stuffed shells. If I could post the photos of everyone's face after eating it would do more justice than anything I could write here. Everything tasted fresh and lovely. Again they were lovely enough to box up the huge amount of leftovers for our drive home. I'm sure they fully expected us to say no to dessert and coffee menus but we don't back down from a challenge. Two to-go tiramisu (will be devouring mine today), a cappuccino that was smooth and topped with the best smelling cinnamon, and a chocolate dessert... tartufa?? Chocolate zabaione maybe? With an almond flavored center covered in delicious cocoa powder( how can cocoa powder taste good you may ask, can't tell you but it was) that we devoured. Pants were loosened upon leaving. We found out from chatting with our server that she and her dad own and run the restaurant, and were shocked they don't stay busier. We saw they do half priced apps for happy hour Fridays and are already planning a trip back to try some of their sangria and other drinks. And maybe a wood fired pizza, because mercy they looked good. GO. EAT. ENJOY. They very clearly are trying to create a comfortable homey environment with fresh food, and they're killing it. Check out their specials, they seem to have something every day of the week.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol

They bring it out in a really big bowl and it's just a little bit.. the chicken sausage is cut up whole like chopped hotdogs. It really looks lazy and unappealing. I'll preface this by saying we are regular diners and frequently order to-go from here too, so this isn't a problem with the food quality - which is always good. Arriving at 10:45AM, I'd expected to be on the early side of the brunch rush, and the restaurant remained pretty quiet for the first 30 minutes. It was very cold, and we asked for this to be addressed. We appeared to have a dedicated server who welcomed us warmly, fixed drink orders and offered recommendations. However, he had another (new?) server shadowing him after that, and a few things were missed by her (no straws, milk for coffee served in a bowl instead of a jug, water without lemon served with lemon pips in it, and a forgotten request for a taste of the sausage gravy). Then things took a bigger turn after we placed our entree orders. We asked for jelly or jam for biscuits and were told there wasn't any. We asked for honey and syrup for the French toast, and it took a long time to arrive (so those entrees were cold by the time the diners got to eat them). One order came with the wrong side, and one diner had to ask for fresh biscuits because those on the plates were already cold. No one ever came to bring one missing drink, or to take further/refill orders from any of the group. The chilly temperature of the dining room stayed frigid throughout. We did appreciate the professionalism of our primary server, and the sweet gestures to the Moms in the group (it was Mothers' Day). However, the communication between servers, and with management, and between front of house and kitchen, were all completely off that day. It was especially disappointing based on previous positive experiences. Despite flagging the issues to the manager on duty, we left feeling rushed, disappointed and with the impression that they didn't really care. There were huge groups of people waiting to be seated by the time we left, so hopefully the team was just warming up when we got there and I hope the experience improved for others throughout the service period. I'm not looking forward to going back, however - it felt like we were being used for staff training on one of the business Sunday brunch services of the year, and not at all like the usual dinner experience.

From the moment we were seated, I knew this place was special. Waiting at our table was a handwritten birthday card, such a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for the evening. We started with drinks--a Lemon Drop Martini (good, but nothing to write home about) and a glass of wine. Shortly after, our server brought over a beautiful presentation of the evening's steak cuts, walking us through each selection. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive from start to finish. Now let's talk about the food... Pork Belly - 10/10 Perfectly crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside, finished with a sweet and savory glaze. Absolutely incredible. Caviar - 10/10 Fresh, rich, and beautifully presented. Fried Lobster Tail - 10/10 This was pure perfection. Large, juicy, succulent lobster coated in a light tempura-style batter and fried flawlessly. Every bite felt luxurious. By this point I was almost full, but I knew I had to save room for the main event. Ribeye Oscar Style with Jumbo Lump Crab - 100000000000/10 I swear to God...this was hands down the best steak I've ever had in my life. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully seared, incredibly juicy, and cooked exactly as ordered. Every bite exceeded my expectations. The Oscar topping with the jumbo lump crab took it to another level. This steak alone is worth the drive. My friend ordered the Filet Mignon, which was equally impressive and cooked to perfection. For the sides: Loaded Mashed Potatoes - 10/10 Creamy, rich, and topped with thick-cut bacon. Comfort food at its finest. Au Gratin Potatoes - 8/10 Slightly oilier than I prefer, but still better than most I've had elsewhere. Broccoli - 8/10 It's broccoli! Fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. No complaints. Then came the perfect ending to an unforgettable birthday dinner. My birthday cake arrived covered in colorful sprinkles, complete with candles. For a moment, I felt like a little girl again making a birthday wish. The cake was unbelievably good----! 10/10. My friend ordered the Butter Cake, and it was just as phenomenal. Another 10/10. Final Verdict I've officially become an H&W snob. If you're visiting Atlanta and looking for an unforgettable steakhouse experience, H&W is my number one recommendation. Amazing food, exceptional service, thoughtful hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes every celebration feel special. If you're ever in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at H&W. Clearly the guest of honor was surprised and let out a sound of elation because they couldn't control it and they were surprised. The noise wasn't meant to disturb anyone or cause commotion. The other guests do not seem bothered at all once realize it's a happy interaction. I didn't write this scathing review in 2024 because I was trying to spare the business however hearing the rude comment every time I rewatch the video is deeply upsetting. Now I can't reminisce on a pleasant memory because this person wanted to add their unnecessary (racially charged) two cents. I'm sure us being a black family also fueled their unnecessary comment about noise. I doubt that comment about noise would be said if we were a white family. Also note that we were the only black patrons in the restaurant. It's a shame that ignorant people find a way to ruin people of color's joy. I remember very vividly that the hostesses were not helpful and lacked common sense during the seating process and that they made damn near every thing way more difficult than it had to be. The steaks were just okay and the food was overpriced. Hence why we haven't been back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The decor was beautiful.
