I had Affordable Pavers do the turf in my front yard which looked amazing, so I had them do the backyard as well. They were booked out for over 3 months before the project began. Jose explained the types of tiles they have and gave his opinion on what will look good. He is also very flexible with changes because I had to change a few things while reviewing what we went over. The tiles I chose for the backyard are grey tones and cost about $10 per sq ft. He suggested a step because of the slight slope of the landscape. It turned out very beautiful with the lights! I brought a pergola and his team was able to install it for me as well for a fee which I did not mind because I did not have the tools and ability to install it myself. I was able to bring my sketches to life with the help of Jose and his team! I definitely would recommend them for any type of landscaping needs. After reading the comments and ratings of this business, I didn't even look at anyone else. Jose Cruz DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This guy runs a business like a pro. His crew works at an amazing pace and really know their stuff. Jose treats his people great and when I asked about how long they have been with him, he replied 10 years. It shows and the workmanship does also. We only had one minor glitch on a first appointment, that was rectified quickly. Do not waste your time looking at other contractors as many of them use a cheaper sand in the joints and it doesn't lock the pavers in place. I will be having him come back next spring to correct the poor job that another company did on all my other pavers. Jose uses quality materials and quality employees. He is also easy to speak with as he has patience and listens to what the customer wants. A class company with a class owner. read more

We found Affordable Pavers by their outreach and marketing in our neighborhood. We recently purchased an investment property and needed a paver walk and patio along with river rock and dg. The house was a new build fraught with delays. Jose was prompt and responsive. They were very understanding and patience about the delays, including an erroneous request from the HOA for a building permit. Work started and progressed during our 1st winter weather. They did a great job fixing another paver company's sloppy work. The other company came out but blew me off and never bothered to stand by their work. Do not use Martinez Landscaping. Affordable is Professional, more reasonable then the other bids. Took apart a portion of steps and patio pavers and corrected with proper methods and using the existing pavers put it all back together, in a week from executing the contract. read more

Terrible business practice.... I contracted this company off the recommendation from a friend.. Jose had originally scheduled to start my project Friday April 9th... The project was sod installation with an irrigation system. I contacted them on Thursday April 8th asking about what time I could expect them... He denied all agreements to start on Friday and said his team would be over to start the following Tuesday... FIRST RED FLAG: Jose's communication and attention to detail is not the best. He denied scheduling my project for that day and that I was lucky to be having the work completed since they were booked until August. Even after providing email's that showed his start date he continued to deny that he agreed to starting on that day. When we completed a walk through on the project I explained to Jose that we needed a French Drain installed since that is what the builder was asking for when we purchased the home... When his team was working on the project I asked him about it he the drain, his first question was is it in the contract, then began to swear up and down that it was not needed... whether it was needed... I guess time will tell. Upon completion of the project one of the sprinklers was not working and he sent an employee to fix it rather promptly.... They placed the valve box close to my house/patio so after a week of running the sprinklers there is a good amount of water collection that happens in that area.... I contact Jose stating that the system may be leaking and I need him to come take a look at it...... He asks for photos I provide the photos of the water that is pooling. He states that they installation was done correctly and nothing wrong at all, however he could not explain the water collection.. He finally agrees to coming out to the house on a Tuesday after his (9-5 Job of course)... Tuesday rolls around and he starts asking me to turn the water off and run valves of some sort in order to detect a leak.... NOPE.. I explained that I was not going to do that because I am no expert in detecting leaks and per his "warranty" he had promised to service the work he had completed. He then starts to ask me if I was going to pay him $200 for the money he was losing on the other Job he had lined up for the day.... It was explained to him that there was no $200 service fee for him to come look at possible damage/warranty work... That evening his employee comes out and tells me that there is a back flow valve that was installed in that area that is causing that water to pool up... Comes to tell me that Jose does not know what or how everything was installed. I had them install that box in that spot per their recommendation.... Now that area fills up with at least a few gallons of water every time the sprinklers run. Jose never called to follow up and make sure I was aware of what the employee said or bothered to check in on the services. April 30th- I realize the same sprinkler they serviced is not working properly so I call him right away and send him a text message since I want all my dealings with him in writing due to things changing in his favor.... No response... I call again and send another text message on Monday the 3rd.... Still no response or acknowledgment.... Wednesday May 5th, I call again leaving a message that states I would be filing something with small claims court if he did not reach out and fix the sprinkler or find a solution to the problem... Jose calls back at around 4pm stating that he sent his employee out to fix the problem that morning and if I had not checked the sprinklers since then... I immediately ask him why he did not contact me prior to sending his employee out to service the work he tells me that I was ANNOYING which is why I did not get a phone call back.. When asking what granted him access to my property without my knowledge, his answer we because he was my contractor and that he did not have to ask for permission to be on my property. Avoid the headaches and the run around by this clown, he is not professional in any means. I have since filed a police report for his employee coming on to my property without consent. read more

From start to finish Affordable Pavers was an absolute joy to work with. Jose and his crew were extremely professional, friendly, and did amazing work--and all for a competitive price! I contacted Jose through HomeAdvisor and he came out that Friday to give me an estimate for a new pavers driveway and walkway to replace our horribly damaged, crumbling concrete driveway and paver pathway to our front porch. Jose was punctual and very friendly and went over with me the install process and the paver product, Belgard (which is a high quality product), that they use, and took all the measurements required for the estimate. He informed me the estimate would be sent via email by Monday. I received the estimate a day early, on Sunday, and he sent me a text message through Home Advisor making sure I received the estimate. The estimate was detailed and explained exactly what they would be doing which I really appreciated. Affordable Pavers offers a one year warranty on their product and install which is fantastic. We received a few other estimates and his was very competitively priced. Once we decided to go with Affordable Pavers we set up a time to meet with Jose and go over the contract. During the contract signing he inquired if we'd like to add on a small area where our trash cans sit next to our house that was graveled, he quoted us a great price as an add-on to the driveway work so we agreed. Jose presented us with a contract to sign which was very detailed. After the contract was signed, he placed us on the schedule which was just two weeks out. He contacted us the day before they were going to start to let us know and go over the deposit. Jose and his crew arrived on-time the next morning and got to work right away demoing our driveway. The crew of three worked very hard over the next three days to demo, prepare, and install the pavers driveway and walkway. The crew arrived on time every morning by 8am and worked diligently until 4 to 5pm. I was very impressed with their work ethic and the quality of work the crew did. They finished a day early and the driveway looks like a piece of art! We had several neighbors over asking them questions and even one neighbor who hung around for hours to watch them and the crew seemed to really take that in stride. So many neighbors have already complimented us on our new driveway and want to know where they can get one too! The crew was tidy and cleaned up our property after they completed the job. I highly recommend Affordable Pavers for any pavement or masonry work! read more
