Very disappointed I ordered 2 chicken breasts my husband pointed out the dryness so the manager packed my plate said it's fresh just came out well I sat down to eat, and the skin was the driest ever soon as I touched it to remove it crumbled immediately never seen anything like it! came from Fort Worth for a Grandy's Craving and walked into a whole Rude Vibe. When we walked through the door we was excited be all of our Grandys in Fort Worth has closed down. I immediately said Hello we came all the way from Fort Worth for this. there was no hello welcome in not even a smile. They all seemed to be having a bad day and the african America young lady was dry, with a very ATTITUDE it was very uncomfortable. And then had the nerve to say she didn't care when I mentioned I would be giving a bad review. We stayed because we drove from Fort Worth. the food was good but the chicken fried steak tasted as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp to long the Mac was not good it tasted watered down. I was Very disappointed. And it was a waste of money. And the manager never said anything to us about the situation they were all laughing. She needs to be terminated for her reckless behavior. We went to Grandy's at 2815 Beltlune in Irving Tx where we always go but yesterday we ordered a single chicken fried steak and asked for extra gravy they said yes for an extra charge so we paid extra then when we got the plate it wascthe single steak dry wirh gravy on a side sm bowl. I adked them where is the gravy on the steak and they said it dies not come wirh gravy unless you order the meal. I said we have always gotten gravy on it and paid extra for more. They said no it does not come with gravy. I asked to speak to the manager and she said it does not come with gravy. I sat down to eat and lookef this up on google and it says the steak does come wirh gravy even if you do mot order the meal. I went to show this to the manager and she would not liok at it and said I am the manager and I know the policy. I still do not believe that. Does anyone out there know if this is true ? read more

Stopped here after our flight. It's a solid meal that is good and worth its price. All stars go towards the employees. They're friendly, efficient and hard working. I'm going to give this location a solid five stars because of consistency and customer service. The food isn't amazing but it's not supposed to be. However you definitely get better quality for the modest prices compared to many other places. We usually go for breakfast but the dinner items are good too. I like that I don't have to spend $13 for a quick meal that's not a burger. Customer service is consistently pleasant. The team also works efficiently (no slacking here). They're rarely busy when you order inside so there's usually a non-existent wait. I also appreciate the staff for always being patient with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I went through the drive thru. The person that took my order was so sweet but so ditsy. My order wasn't repeated I was asked to pull up to the window. She repeated the order and it was wrong so i corrected her and she changed it, gave me my total and walked away. Took about 15-20 minutes, I could see them changing out containers of bacon and looking for small bowls for the gravy. She eventually came back with my order, I paid, the end. Nothing special. Having been a fan of Grandy's for many years, even going back to the 1980's when some locations had a "granny" walking around passing out warm rolls, I was a bit disappointed with my experience today at the Irving location. The prices are quite a bit higher than other locations here in the Metroplex (Frisco, Little Elm, Denton), and the facility itself is lacking. While I understand the Frisco and Little Elm locations are newer, there is no excuse to have such a run down facility , including the restrooms. They had biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and French Toast, plus a huge assortment of fruit (child, please...). I like to take the bacon and eggs and put them on a biscuit to make a sandwich. I'm just weird like that. The pancakes were decent as well, but I am a huge fan of pancakes, so not sure there are any out there I wouldn't eat! The place is a little dumpy, but clean, and the workers were all super friendly. You do have to get a clean plate from the cashier each time you want a refill, but they don't judge how many times you do that, or if they do, they do it quietly in the back! Very disappointed. Ordered the 8 piece family meal with 2 sides and rolls at drive thru. The menu stated that the cost was $24.99 but was charged over $32. When I asked about it, I was told that prices had gone up. When I stated the menu board said the price of $24.99 again I was told that prices had gone up. This is some of the BEST food I've found around this part of town! It's a beat up old Grandy's but the cooks inside create fresh chicken, veggies, and fried catfish every day. Every time I've gone through the drive through they give you exactly what you order, and the food is hot and fresh. Not microwaved like so many. It may be a little slower wait time in the drive thru but worth it! This is another example of a minority owned business that just is far superior to what's out there as far as fresh, nutritious, affordable food in DFW. The food was consistent with the others in this chain. I enjoyed my country steak meal. The low rating is because the manager was very rude to me during checkout. The cashier was making my plate and I noticed I only received one roll on my double steak meal. Usually I have always received two, I kindly ask the young lady "may I have another roll" and as she goes to get it she asks the manager if I have to pay for the roll and the manager answers rudely and very loudly it only comes with one roll. So I say in a calm voice oh I was just wondering because I usually receive two. She goes on to throw her hands up in the arm and say it never comes with two and I explain on previous visits that it has. So explains they used to do that a long time ago, again very rudely and unnecessarily loud. My problem is not that the second roll no longer came with the meal it's the fact the manager made a scene out of it instead of just saying "sorry sir our options have changed, but you can purchase it for 49 cents".
