Meatball appetizer - perfect browned on the outside but tender and juicy inside.
    Dave R.

I love Yelp! As you might guess, I use it whenever I need to find a new place to eat, which is frequently the case if I am dining out of town. So, we used Yelp recently when we decided to spend a holiday weekend in Keene to hit the area's gravel/dirt bike trails.  Granita Enoteca ranked highly in our search results, so we made reservations for Sunday night. Not surprisingly, the Yelp reviews were spot on -- this place is fantastic.  [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is located in an office building just off the center of town, which seems odd at first, but as soon as you walk in the door, there's no doubt you are in a fine dining restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing I noticed about the strange choice of location was that the A/C vents are in a single straight row in the ceiling, so you're either going to be cool or not, depending on where you sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]  We started with the Meatball Appetizer. What I loved about them was that they were 'crisp' (nicely browned) on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside. The marinara was very, very good. And there was a generous amount of parmesan -- but not too much. My date had the Pesto Pasta with Peas. I had the Lamb Chops with Polenta and fava Beans. And we share a side of pureed potatoes. We LOVED every element of each dish. The flavors were exquisite!  We sat at the bar, as we often do (we prefer to sit next to one another vs across a table from each other), and the bartender was attentive and friendly. Plus, he made an excellent Rye Manhattan exactly as I asked (very dry & very cold).  We can't wait to go back to Keene so that we can go to Granita Enoteca!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant has a very nice upscale look. The restaurant is basically on the main road, but tucked back a bit in a cozy spot. It is perfect for a nice date night, celebrating an occasion or if you are seeking an elevated meal experience for the night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are lovely, I sat in a booth closer to the kitchen, very nice ambiance and aesthetically pleasing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was very good, our server was very knowledgeable and helpful when we were making our selection. We went on a Sunday night when they have the family style option, this was suggested by our server as this allowed us to try a larger selection of items. We started with fresh focaccia and butter, had an app of Olives and some NA sparkling wine which was lovely. They have a wide selection of Reds, white and NA options, as well as many nice cocktails. We had the Chicken Ragu and a Scallop Dish for our first and second plates, we shared and both were more then amazing. The chef and kitchen crew do an amazing job here, everything was flavorful and scallops were perfectly cooked! Do yourself a favor and get a side of the Risotto if it's not on a main dish, amazing! I was told the Tiramisu was also lovely. If you are visiting Keene, or a local, make yourself a reservation and spend a few hours here enjoying everything they do here.

We had an amazing time for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is stylish with good vibes all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a very extensive wine list. Wine by bottle or glass. They allow you to taste the wine prior to ordering. You can do a flight. Full bar with crafty, delicious cocktails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Street parking or garage adjacent to building. The menu rotates during the year. The "first plates" are smaller or you can make them entree size. In-house homemade pastas and desserts. We had the bolognese (entree size) and beef short ribs w an added side of whipped potatoes. My husband loved his pasta. The beef rib was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a parsnip puree and kale. They have a top of the line coffee/expresso machine. We had the pumpkin cheesecake. Just wow! When you think cheesecake you may think heavy and dense. This was anything but that. The cake was so light and creamy. Fresh flavors of a light pumpkin and gingerbread crust topped with toasted maple pumpkin seeds. I think you could order anything on the menu and walk away very satisfied. They have chef tastings and do family style on Sundays. I can not wait to go back!

Back again with my sister from NYC for another delicious meal.... Start ed with a Caesar salad, very fresh, equally delicious bread croutons and not overdressed! Don't miss the bread or granita. Sister had a flight of white wines and she loved all three . For entrees we had Calamari, Scallops and Rigatoni with fresh tomato sauce and Burata. Again, each one delicious...our server Sequoia was attentive without being overbearing...Dinner wasn't rushed.... Husband now wants to return once a month... no problem here!!! Sister from NYC said it was one of the best meals she has had all year-that coming from a Foodie!!

Exceptional experience here! Everything from granita they served pre-meal to the pastas were spot on. We had the meatballs and flatbread appetizer. Could have just stopped there. Meatballs were very soft and juicy on the inside and perfect on the outside. There was a very nice herbed taste that made my wife keep commenting on them, in addition to the basil. The flatbread was just a scrumptious mix of fig, goat cheese and slightly charred pizza crust. On the menu, it said there was prosciutto, but we didn't taste or see any, but honestly imo prosciutto would have ruined it so we didn't really care! The pastas were also great. The tagliatelle, though boring looking (sauce was simply butter, salt and pepper), was mildly addictive. The pasta noodle itself was really chewy! I had the agnolotti which had a very nice, tangy & buttery sauce. The filling didn't have much taste so that would be my main complaint of the evening. Thank you!

Bartender didn't impress. Not sure he was experienced. Give away was putting olives on martini containing grapefruit juice, not mention an even number of olives (bad luck). The menus were fancy and I ordered a shaved roast beef sandwich with au jus. Shaved roast beef was on par with Steak-umms. French fries were your typical bagged fries. All in all it was ok at best. Was hoping for a little more given the quality of the other restaurants in the area.

My partner had the short rib ravioli which was also excellent. We are whiskey/bourbon drinkers and the one thing that whiskey/burboun drinkers like in their old fashioned type drinks are single, large ice rocks and not the little broken ice chips that easily dilutes your drink. These are so easy to make yourself. Just buy an ice tray that makes them. The other thing whiskey/bourbon drinkers like in their drinks are the bourbon cherries and not just the plain maraschino cherries. Just two easy recommendations to elavate the experience. The staff was also very friendly.

They are presently open for dinner 5 nights a week and weekend brunch service, 10am to 2:30pm. The place has the main bar area with seating and table seating on the left side and separate dining rooms to the right side. The bar offers 8 draft beers, wine list, cocktails, digestifs, and non-alcoholic drinks. The food menu offers a selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, steak frites, pasta dishes, risotto, seafood, chicken dishes, and desserts. The weekend brunch selections also include stuffed French toast, omelettes, benedicts (crab cake & lobster), croque madame, eggs & bacon, steak sandwich, & a dry aged burger. The prices are moderate high. I stopped by here around 1:50pm for brunch. I headed to the bar and took a seat. I was informed the kitchen was closing at 2pm, dining room/bar closes at 2:30pm and reopens at 5pm for dinner service. I promptly got my food order in, choosing regular food items also on the dinner menu. For a starter, the Steamed Mussels ($16 plus tax) had 20 steamed mussels with slices of Spanish dry cured chorizo, garlic, oven cured tomato in a savory hot broth, with 3 slices of charred soirdough bread slices to dip. For an entree, the Braised Short Rib Cavatelli ($24 plus tax) was a good portion of soft cooked cavatelli, tender lean pieces of short rib, mushrooms, truffle, creme fraiche. The sauce and flavors were similar to a stroganoff type dish, pretty good overall. I did request a box for the cavatelli to eat later. Overall, the food was pretty good and freshly prepared. The service was slightly rushed receiving my food together at the same time (I actually prefer this) and check presented before I was done, which came out to $43.40 with tax and before tip. I would stop by again for brunch so I could get the breakfast items.

One of a kind restaurant for sure. Cloth lining bacon's signature dish of David Burke. It Is very mouthwatering and activated my palate for first course. AKA droolingg while the staffs torching the bacon. Wings and Rings are very unique. The calamari rings are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside (NOT RUBBERY). Wings glazed are the mixture of sweet, savory, and tad bit of spicy. BEST mussels I've ever had. Plum and juicy in a buttery bursting flavor broth. Crispy skin salmon. I usually only eat raw salmon but I enjoy crispy salmon skin on top of ratatouille whole lot. Wild mushrooms risotto is wicked creamy and full of flavor and the crunchy of pepita (pumpkin seeds?) just elevates the dish, along with sweet eggplant for finishing touch. it is so smooth. Desserts are delicious with Flourless chocolate cake and Cinnamon roll cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. I am so glad to have such a great french/artisan restaurant in New Hampshire. I can't forget about Eliza for great service. And theirs raspberry lemonade is so refreshing with fresh raspberry for some acidic drink. I masked the price from the receipt because it well-worth the money.
