Food and environment great. McKayla was a delightful bartender and it was mellow and chill. Really a nice addition to downtown Keene...

Bartender didn't impress. Not sure he was experienced. Give away was putting olives on martini containing grapefruit juice, not mention an even number of olives (bad luck). The menus were fancy and I ordered a shaved roast beef sandwich with au jus. Shaved roast beef was on par with Steak-umms. French fries were your typical bagged fries. All in all it was ok at best. Was hoping for a little more given the quality of the other restaurants in the area.

My partner had the short rib ravioli which was also excellent. We are whiskey/bourbon drinkers and the one thing that whiskey/burboun drinkers like in their old fashioned type drinks are single, large ice rocks and not the little broken ice chips that easily dilutes your drink. These are so easy to make yourself. Just buy an ice tray that makes them. The other thing whiskey/bourbon drinkers like in their drinks are the bourbon cherries and not just the plain maraschino cherries. Just two easy recommendations to elavate the experience. The staff was also very friendly.

We visited this winery in early June and did their tasting. They had a tent and seats set up outside. It was a nice set up and I forget who was there, but he was really nice. We tried a variety wine and actually liked a few of them. So we decided to buy a couple bottles, a Merlot and a Summit Rose. It was definitely amazing that their wines were good and nicely priced. Not to mention buying a bottle waives tasting fees. We had a great time and came back home with a couple bottles. Then, we put the bottles away on our wine rack along with 10+ other bottles. Now, we are not connoisseur of wine but we are definitely not new to wines and proper storage. We lived in San Francisco in proximity to the Napa Valley and were part of multiple winery memberships for a year or more. With that in mind, let's continue. Fast forward to early August when we decided to open the Merlot. We instantly knew something was wrong when we uncorked the wine bottle and it was fizzing at the top. We thought maybe that was what was supposed to happen although we had NEVER seen a non-sparkling red do that, so I tried a sip and instantly knew it was bad. But the bottle was perfectly fine and didn't see any cracks. So how could it be? We chalked it up to bad luck and picked out another wine we brought from San Francisco to enjoy the evening. Then, we decided we would try the Summit Rose this past Friday, so when I went to grab the bottle, I noticed a very small pool of wine underneath the mouth of the bottle. Then, I tracked it down to the Summit Rose. As you see in the photo, there's wine oozing out of the foil. And as I opened the foil to examine the cork, I saw that the top of the cork was stained and that there was a trail going from inside the bottle along the cork/bottle to the outside where it could have spilled out of. I decided to put it upside down on white paper to see if it'll spill and indeed, it did. Then, I left it out upright overnight and found some wine on the topside. Looks like some kind of pressure built up from inside for whatever reason and pushed some wine out the top. All in all, I want to reiterate that we had a GREAT experience at the winery. The outside seating (although inside looked cool but due to the current situation it was unavailable), the one staff pouring the wine and the wine themselves were all pretty good. But looks like I hit the bad luck jackpot and ended up getting 2 bad bottles.

Food is adventurous & bold; memorable meals over the years: Fried Goat cheese with charcuterie meats, manchego cheese & french bread, have to do The Bocado Experience for 2 or 4, Jamon Iberico, Pato (duck pastrami w sherry glaze), tuna poke, atun de bocado (seared yellowfin saku tuna), braised pork belly, Spanish octopus, mussels in cream sc, twin mini Kobe style beef burgers, venison, fried calamari, lollipop lamb chops, seared beef tenderloin, classic paella & Paella de Mariscos, & baked flan for dessert. Just so fascinating - their chefs can put out such tasty small plates so quickly, each packed with such fresh & exciting flavors, always cooked to perfection (never over or under cooked). Get the sangria pitchers, bar is always packed & hopping. Dining room just got a refresh, but was beautiful even before with a great atmosphere also. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, though our table was in the middle of the aisle which felt a bit cramped. Unfortunately, the service itself was inconsistent. We had to ask for bread three times. When we ordered two brownies and one coffee, we were brought one brownie and two coffees. At the end of the meal, we asked for both my meal and my son's meal to be wrapped to go. My son's plate was accidentally thrown away because other plates were stacked on top of it. When I asked about it, the server explained what happened but did not offer to remake it, remove it from the bill, or apologize, which was disappointing. That said, it was a busy Friday during Restaurant Week, so I would consider coming back and hope the service is smoother next time. While writing this review, I actually received a text from the restaurant letting me know we left our son's plate behind, which was thoughtful and appreciated. If Yelp allowed half stars, I would give 3.5.

Consistency like this is rare, and it says everything about the standards they keep. I started with the Pomegranate Granita Oysters, and wow. Bright, refreshing, unbelievably fresh, and balanced perfectly. They were the kind of oysters you slow down for because you don't want the bite to end. I ordered the duck ragu again because I couldn't stop thinking about it from my last visit -- and once again, absolute perfection. Rich, comforting, layered with flavor, and yes... I cleaned the plate spotless. Not a drop left behind. From the hospitality to the execution of every dish, everything about this restaurant screams class, quality, and a superb dining experience.
