Arrived with three other customers pulling into the lot.. We were the second one in the door and another gal behind us. Not sure if she had an appointment, but the gal that came in after us, was quickly being helped. So we just wandered looking at the different options. We did have a gal ask us if we had any questions. Now I'm deciding on getting new bathroom counter tops to my kitchen, so more decisions to be made. I've been wanting new countertops for a while, but had to prioritize with the backyard and the interior of the house. Very impressed with the pricing and choices available.. Of course the ones I liked had a sold sign! Now off to find a fabricator. read more

First time shopping for granite as we're remodelling our kitchen. Walked in and was greeted by Erick (2nd generation owner), who is awesome! My wife and I enjoyed perusing their expansive inventory, learning about the different types of product available to help us make the best decision for our home. Erick knows his rock! In addition to his product knowledge, he's a good dude, disarming, and full of warmth with an impressive memory. We've had a few reasons for follow up calls (confirm the dimensions, installation date, etc) and the staff has exhibited the same quality of care and warmth that we experienced our first time walking in and meeting Erick. I prefer companies that are family owned where the family is onsite working with customers. This company is wonderful to do business with. Searching for a match for a 20 year old granite countertop. These folks (Rob and Eric) were over the top helpful! They offered to try to color match our sample and call others in town to see what inventory was available. Rob, the owner, is trustworthy and reliable. The lady in the front, not so much. We walked in looking for some slabs for our kitchen reno and we had so many questions. The lady wasn't helpful and simply gave vague answers. Then, came Rob, who made our visit worthwhile. He answered all our questions with great enthusiasm and made us feel comfortable in a very overwhelming space. He connected with us, we chatted about each other's experiences and at the end, we left saying, this is our place for future Renos. All because of Rob. Pleasant staff and found the owner to be interested in having your purchase be a positive one, and we certainly compared prices and this was the better deal all around. The owner, Rob, was there to help us while we shopped for our new counters. He was very informative and personable. You know he is passionate about his work when he isn't trying to sell you over the top counters. He actually recommended a lower priced option that fit for our situation. Honest and not pushy! I'm so glad I found Granite Planet. Amber was amazing. Despite the busy remodeling market, she was friendly, responsive and super quick at helping me get the perfect Caesarstone for my kitchen project in North Lake Tahoe. Pricing was competitive - it came out a little lower than the other quote I got, from a to-the-trade supplier that I'd worked with on a previous project. What's more, Amber and Granite Planet offered great service that made things happen in a tight time frame. She tracked down inventory for the specific style/design I wanted, and pushed to get the slabs on the earliest truck from the distributor as possible - thanks to her perseverance, the slabs arrived a week later. She coordinated seamlessly with my fabricator, had the slabs available the day they came off the truck there, and he had them fabricated and installed a week later. Between Granite Planet and the local fabricator, this has been the easiest part of our kitchen update. We got the counters installed within two weeks of ordering the material and finding a great fabricator. Thanks Granite Planet for your part in this! I've bought quartz/granite slabs at outlets in the Sacramento area where it is essentially self-serve. When we decided to replace the vanity tops in two bathrooms at a vacation home in Incline Village we visited Granite Planet based on the Yelp reviews. Rob met us in the showroom and couldn't have been nicer. We ended up having a long conversation about customer service and how he prides himself on taking care of people who buy from him. I've selected granite from family owned businesses in the area several times in the past, and went there first for the kitchen remodel on my rental. Since I hadn't committed at that point, I stopped by Granite Planet to check out their inventory. We were met by Amber, and to say I am "wowed" isn't enough. She took quite a bit of time to get to know my situation and what I wanted. Amber knows what she's doing, which is great because I am not blessed with imagination or decorating skills! She took us thru a bunch of choices that would look great and my only problem is going to be choosing the one I like best. I have been so pleased with the service I have received from Rob at Granite Planet. I first used Granite Planet when I was looking for granite for my kitchen. I picked out my granite slabs from MSI, but MSI does not sell directly to consumers. Rob was able to get me a great price and had the slabs transferred to his location so that my fabricator could pick them up. I also picked out some tile from MSI and had them sent to Rob. He quoted me a price that was at least 20% less than most of the tile retail locations that sell this same tile. I also got a beautiful pre-fab marble counter from Granite Planet. Rob is very friendly, always super helpful, and made this process so much more enjoyable than it had been when I was trying to deal with other granite and tile retailers. I would highly recommend Granite Planet for both great service and price. read more
