I can't begin to say what a pleasure it was to work with the folks at Granite Plus! Remodeling a home remotely presents a ton of challenges, but countertops were not among them. From my first meeting with Brandon Marks, the general manager, everything went smoothly. I was only in town briefly, but he scheduled a meeting at my convenience so I could see the stone in person. When my kitchen was finally ready for the template, the gentleman who did the final measurements was professional, pleasant, and very easy to work with. When Victor and Phillip arrived just a week later for the installation, I was again very impressed with their attention to detail, hard work, and onsite suggestions. Everything went as planned. Any trustworthy review should give the benchmarks for the reviewer's judgment. Is this place good? Compared to what? Strawberry ice cream? ...or a poke in the eye with a sharp stick? So, what follows is quick context comparing Granite Plus to the competitors we initially experienced: 1) Home Depot. We initially looked at Home Depot for our kitchen counters. Other than my usual 10% veterans discount, their prices were highest, next only to boutique countertop specialty shops. Also, their timeframe for installation was 12 to 15 weeks. Three months without a kitchen? 2) Lowes. Lowes had a 30% off sale for the type of granite we really liked. So we bought it, paid $1300 deposit. We were excited until 8 days later when we got a call from their installer stating our granite was out of stock and they didn't know when it would be available. This is where it gets much worse. Lowes retails the granite in their flooring section. They farm out the installation to another company, who then sources the granite from a third entity. By now the Lowe's sale was over, and Lowes Customer Service refused to talk to us stating our contract was with the installer. (Not even true, because our credit card statement for the deposit on the unobtanium granite stated Lowes as the source of the debit. Besides, you think Lowes would give up floor space for countertops if they weren't making money?) In short we experienced Lowes finger-pointing all over the place, but no Lowes interest in relieving our order that was now two thousand dollars more than the contract we originally signed for similar granite. We cancelled our order and will never use Lowes install services again. Never. Never. Ever. 3) Various countertop specialty shops. We got several price quotes from a variety of countertop places, all of whom apparently sourced their granite slabs from a third party supplier. I call these shops "boutique" because their prices are thousands of dollars more than available elsewhere. Thing is, granite is granite. It's either polished or not, fissured or not, installed correctly or not. Boutiques sell, I guess, prestige for the extra money. Fine if that matters to you. 4) Granite Plus in Chelmsford, MA. Unequivocally our best experience for every reason that matters. One, they came recommended by Universal Factory Direct in Portsmouth, NH, a source for quality kitchen cabinets at blue collar prices with whom we had a positive experience. Two, Granite Plus owns their own supply yard where you browse the actual granite slab you want to buy...in stock. Three, Granite Plus pricing came in--no, really--two thousand dollars LESS than the Lowes 30% off price for the same quality granite. Seriously. Really. Better than Lowe's sale price. But also understand this, the Granite Plus price for our project would have been even lower by a thousand dollars except my wife fell in love with a high-end slab. (She fell in love with a high-end slob 45 years ago, but that's another story.) Four, a lady escorted us through the supply yard and answered every question with detailed knowledge. She acted like a highly informed guide, not a sales lady. Five, the time frame was way faster than anyone else. Within a week, a template guy was out taking measurements. In less than a week, the installers arrived. Six, the template guy and the two installers were solid. You know, it can be hit or miss on sketchy delivery or service guys. Not these guys. They were decent people who cared about our opinion. Lastly, six, the install is flawless. You can't see the countertop seams, the measurements were spot-on, and the caulking was clean. So...now you know why I added the context of other experiences. If I had just started raving, you'd not be able to trust my review. You wouldn't know how uncharacteristic it is for me to give a top rating. Give Granite Plus (And Universal Factory Direct for cabinets as well) a chance to look at your project. If you're not one of those twerpy people who have no end of last minute changes and unreasonable demands, you won't be disappointed, but you will likely save a lot of money. We did. read more

Granite Plus installed my kitchen countertops and also my master bathroom. The template technician was very knowledgeable and gave us great ideas on our new kitchen design. The did a great job on the waterfall island, you can't even see the seam! The installers did a great job keeping the place neat and clean! Couldn't recommend a better company to work with. Granite Plus came highly recommended by 3-4 separate sources and they certainly didn't disappoint. I met with Mike Farrell (Sales Associate) and Mike was knowledgeable and gave great insight. Mike walked me through the process and made it easy to make a decision. Pricing was on point and inline if not better than the other places I went. Then Henrique Bertoli came out to do the template. Henrique was super friendly, knew what he was doing and was an absolute professional in making my counter fit perfectly. Just over a week later my installation was scheduled. This crew came in and installed my beautiful counter top in no time and perfectly. Like I said I am amazed at the well oiled machine Granite Plus is. During this whole process Brandon Marks (General Sales Manager) was in contact with me making sure all was going as planned. I literally cannot stop looking at my counter tops. What a great experience with Granite Plus! We recently bought a new home and immediately wanted to update the kitchen which we've been renovating ourselves, but knew we needed someone to install countertops for us. After calling around to a few places (with frustrating response times), Granite Plus got back to us immediately and had the lowest price for the quartz product we were looking at. They quickly scheduled an appointment with us to measure for the template, and within just a few days they were ready to install (we expected a couple of weeks turnaround time)! The installation was fast, and the installers were super nice and professional. They did a great job and when we noticed a small issue with one of the seams (which they had mentioned would be there before), they were very helpful and came back to make the fix. In November of 2019 I contracted with Granite Plus to fabricate counter tops and back splashes for my kitchen. Granite Plus sent a man out to make a template of my counter tops so they would be cut correctly. When Granite Plus went to install the counter tops they didn't fit so Granite Plus cut a slot out of my wall so the counter tops would fit. In the process Granite Plus scratched my new refrigerator, scrapped my walls, Granite Plus, broke the back splash, dust from the cut walls was left in my cabinets along with debris and saw dust from cutting off the stays for the sink and white silicon caulking was used between the black back splash and light gray wall. Yes, they did come out and fix the broken back splash and caulking problem But, how do you fix a cut out wall? Now in August of 2020 my under mount sink fell off of the granite counter top, which was installed by Granite Plus. It has taken Granite Plus 2 days to have someone come out and reattach the top. I was told that they would clean off the old silicon caulking from the sink and granite, reapply the caulking, resecure the sink, reattach drain and test the drain. Granite Plus took all of 15 minutes (why they couldn't do that the day before) to caulk the sink, caulk the granite resecure the sink and reattach drain. What promised and not done was clean off the old caulking from both the sink and granite, install the gasket seal when they reattached drain and test the drain. Another poor quality job done by Granite Plus. I had used Granite Plus for a bathroom vanity in the past and was happy with the product and workmanship, but after this kitchen experience I would not open the door for Granite Plus. If I could give Granite Plus a lower score than 0 I would. My recommendation about Granite Plus would be don't waste your time. Originally we had chosen another granite company to upgrade our kitchen countertops. For various reasons, we chose not to move forward with that particular granite company (located in Burlington), and chose to look elsewhere. We spent a couple of weekends checking in with 8 or so different companies, and finally settled on Granite Plus, and I am so glad that we did. We communicated mostly with Priscilla, who was fantastic. She communicated clearly with us and actually did a price match for us to ensure we were getting the best deal possible. We were also able to go to one of Granite Plus warehouses and pick the exact slab that was used on our counters. We were extremely impressed with the quick turn around time from the time we chose our slab, had it fabricated and installed. The installation went smoothly and the two guys who handled the install did a great job. We love the counters and are very happy with our choice to work with Granite Plus. We will absolutely recommend them to anybody looking to upgrade their counters! read more

This company was the fabricator for my countertops. I talked with the salesperson numerous time explaining why I wanted granite. When I told him I liked a particular stone, he gave me a proposal that said it was granite. Later documents did not include the word granite, but I didn't look carefully enough. When they were installed 2 months ago they were beautiful. Now they are covered with water marks and chipped. It turns out what I purchased was not granite but quartzite. I didn't even know such a material existed! I spoke to the salesperson and the owner who both said the same thing, you picked the stone so tough luck. They advised that if I took a bottle of milk from the fridge and put it on the counter to pour a glass of milk, I should immediately wipe up any condensation. Who lives like this? They are adamant that I should have known that quartzite is not granite and that since it is a "natural stone" is is subject to etching. I also should have known that light colors show marks more than dark colors. Then the owner even told me that if my salesperson hadn't told me about these issues, they may not have known about them. Wow....the customer is supposed to know information that the salesperson doesn't know. I was so looking forward to my new kitchen and now the countertops look more worn than the 16 year old countertops they replaced. Want to waste you money and end up with a product will cause you no end of problems? This is the place to go unless you have a strong background as working with stone. If the salesperson had said, "that's beautiful stone but it's not granite and it is likely to show watermarks", I would have run away from it as fast as I could. Now I have to turn into an obsessive compulsive when I work in my kitchen and make sure my husband and all my guests are equally compulsive with regard to my counters. Want to help with the dishes, great just don't get any water on the counters and if you do wipe it up immediately! Quartzite is too dense for me to buff it so until I spend the money to have a professional come in and buff it, it will remain etched and the chipping continues. Two corners of the island have chipped as well as several placed along one of the sides that aren't on edges. read more

The price is good, but not the quality. The week after I had the granite counter top put in, I took a jar of mayo and another container from the fridge and left on counter for 5 minutes and this left a deep stain. Spoke with company and sent a picture. They said they needed a picture so they could assess and show up with the right material to solve the problem. Workers that showed up were very nice, but did not have the right material to resolve the issue. Needed to have them come back again. Again, pleasant people, they spent about 10 minutes trying to resolve the problem. Originally they said they would be putting a chemical on and leaving it for 2 days, but did not do. The worker asked me if the company had called to discuss the change in methods. I said no. Stain blends a little better with the rest of the counter, but still there. Do I have faith that I won't have future problems? No, but at some point you just need to move on. Will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more
