I was told to expect to take an hour but they had the entire front windshield replaced within half an hour. The glass was attached, but needed some time to settle, but they gave the ok to drive home, but to just leave the windows cracked for a bit. They have reasonable pricing for the glass and labor and the employees were really nice. I'm a little sad though since I only had the new windshield installed for about 1.5 weeks, before a dang evil rock was sent flying by a truck and cracked the windshield again. I at least know I'll be returning to replace it when I have the funds to do so again.

This is only my second time having to get my windshield repaired, and this time it was a replacement. I wasn't expecting that because GEICO doesn't seem to be aware that Vermont requires a replacement if a crack is more than the size of a quarter, not the usual dollar bill from where I moved. However, before I even learned that I had missed my afternoon appointment and they were happy to reschedule me for the next morning. But when I arrived the next day, that's when I learned I needed a replacement instead of a repair. They were able to schedule me back the very next day. And they did an awesome job! It looks as good as new. The people there are also super professional and friendly every time I've stepped in the place. Hopefully I won't ever need another windshield repair, but I know where I'm going as long as I'm living in Barre!

I called my insurance, they asked me some questions about the general look of it and its size, then decided to send me to Safelite in Riverton for a patch job. I was asked if I wanted to go in person or have a mobile appointment (I didn't realize until after the fact that they'd COME to ME to fix it! that's cool!). I was able to get an in person appointment immediately, and it took about 45 minutes to get repaired. While the front desk people weren't the friendliest, the technician was! He came out to get me and talk to me about how he repaired it, explained that it wasn't a perfect fix (as in, you can tell a rock hit my windshield but it also kinda looks like some really bad sap got stuck), and to tell me that he couldn't say for sure that I'd pass my next inspection but he did the best he could. This is a nervous five star. YES, my car passed inspection (since the ding is smallish and not within my direct line of sight). BUT, I'm not sure how it'll hold up long term (especially come winter when I have to scrape snow and ice off my car).
