I was pretty satisfied with my overall experience with Granite Works. We went to their showroom and selected two granite remnants for our master bathroom and guest bathroom counter tops. Choosing remnants saved us some money. We choose the granite, then selected what type of sink we wanted (we chose rectangle) and if we needed a back splash. We wanted to replace three sink faucets with new Moen ones. Their plumber can install the faucets for $100 each. So, we decided to do that. After paying for everything, we walked over and made two appointments - one for them to measure and the other to install. Total time it took from the day we purchased it was two weeks. On the day of installation, the installers came during their time slot, and it was done in about one hour. The plumber came after the installers were done. Now, they should of told us to buy new water lines as their plumber doesn't have any. So, we had to drive to Home Depot while the plumber was installing the new faucets. I will choose them again when we decide to replace our kitchen counter tops. read more

FRAUDULENT!!! DO NOT USE GRANITE WORKS!!!! We used them for a countertop for our kitchen. We went out and picked the slab we wanted (which was honed on one side and polished on the other). We EXPLICITLY told Snell at the front office and wrote on the paperwork that we wanted the honed side of the countertop on top. They were supposed to come measure our kitchen on a Friday, never called, never showed up. We waited around for hours waiting for them, finally called and they said they'd come on Monday. They came and measured, ended up measuring incorrectly and had to remeasure days later (wasting our time and our contractor's time). They came to install and after they left and we saw the countertop we realized they had installed it with the polished side up. We called and they said they would figure out how they could fix this issue. After not hearing from them for 5 days, we had to find alternate plans to get it fixed as to not delay our construction schedule. a counter surface specialist came and honed the countertop for $775. When Granite Works got around to calling us back, we told them we had to hire a third party to hone the countertops. We were in the midst of disputing the third and final payment, as we did not feel we should pay the full remaining amount considering the absolute horrible experience we had already endured, the terrible communication, and the fact that we had to have it repaired by someone else for $775. We offered to pay the remainder minus the $775. All they would offer us was a $200 credit!!!!!! After all of the anguish, a $200 discount!! In the midst of this back and forth (keep in mind that for the last two payments we had to sign off to trigger the payment from releasing from our account), we woke up on Christmas day to seeing that they had TAKEN the money unauthorized from our account! Absolutely disgusting, unethical behavior!!! Calling them was no help as they didn't care one bit and completely backed their decision to snatch our money out of our account. Unfortunately, we used a bank account instead of a credit card ( because they don't take credit cards) so we were not able to get our money back. Even worse, we are out the final payment plus the $775 extra. Our contractor and our designer said they've never seen something like this before and will NEVER be using or recommending Granite Works again. read more

We were initially pleased with Granite Works' kitchen counter, sink and faucet installation and even purchased a second faucet through them for another house. But then we noticed that the water flow from the faucet had gotten very low. When a professional plumber removed the low-flow damper in the second faucet to allow a normal flow of water through the faucet, the device failed completely under the higher pressure and started spraying water. Granite Works did not handle this problem well. After initially promising to send along a replacement faucet by the following Monday, they canceled that delivery because they said they had a paying customer who needed it that day. They left a message promising to send us another faucet from their next shipment. Then nothing happened. Numerous calls to them were left unanswered, though I have been unfailingly courteous with their representatives in all my interactions with them. It appears they just don't intend to stand behind the products they sell to their customers. This is most disappointing. Future customers of Granite Works, beware! read more

I am updating this review.We are overall very satisfied with the work done (quartz counter top in 3 bathrooms install) after the plumber came out to install the faucets the next day. Although we understand "life happens" and it appears the plumber was understaffed, we would have appreciated an update when asked the evening before. We weren't sure if we were going to have to hire our own plumber when we did not get a response which caused undue stress, even if just for an evening. We had a horrible experience working with Granite works and will not recommend this company to anyone. We selected a quartz countertop with their sales rep (Evan and Snell), we paid the 70% deposit and were told that the countertop will be installed within 1 week after the measurement. They could not deliver the countertop even 3 weeks after the measurement as their supplier didn't have it in stock, and they could not even give us a timeframe for when it will be in stock. So we asked to give our deposit back. At this point, they said they will deduct 30% from the deposit as a contract cancellation fee! and refused to give our full deposit back or give a timeframe of when they will be able to install the countertop. We were so shocked by this response and were totally in disbelief that the company could do this and act with such dishonesty. This is a brick-and-mortar store with several years of business, maybe they are under new ownership, otherwise, I am not sure how they could survive with such bad business practices. Fortunately, we paid using a credit card. Our credit card company was able to dispute the charges on our behalf. But we had to go thru a lot of stress and paperwork just because we had $5,500 at risk (70% deposit) and our kitchen remodeling project was stuck incurring us additional contractor expenses. Please be careful working with this company. If you do decide to work, please ensure you modify the contract with a clause that gets your deposit back if the company is unable to provide the service within the acceptable timeframe. Their current contract has no such protection for customers. And from our experience, we can tell that Granite Works will not act ethically in difficult situations. We've worked with GraniteWorks for two kitchen counters over the past several years. They've expanded into kitchens so we gave them a try for floor and backsplash as well. The work was good and the subcontractors were really great to work with. But GraniteWorks struggled with project management, causing materials shortages, delays and surprise billing at the end of the project. They have a good contract but didn't follow their own change order process. It just felt unprofessional - no acknowledgement of the shortcomings. Feels like they're focused on the one-time sale rather than on establishing long-term renovation partnerships with homeowners. We won't be back. Appreciate GraniteWorks' response to this review, but the parts about "explained to you at the onset" and "material shortages that was not related to us" are simply revisionist history. I did some shopping around when looking to replace the countertops in my kitchen and settled on Granite Works due to what seemed like reasonable pricing and they were the only granite supplier near me with good reviews. Every step of the process I've been very impressed with this company and they've lived up to the reviews. Our salesman was incredibly friendly, very helpful and responsive. He showed me around the granite selection they have and we discussed what would work with the kitchen I have from some pictures I brought. As someone without a ton of "vision" I gotta say that I LOVED that they had full sized slabs of granite for you to look at rather than just the 1x1' squares you'll see at Home Depot. It made it a lot easier to visualize what it would look like over an entire kitchen and you could see more details and features. I also found their selection more than sufficient that I had multiple options I loved at my budget price point. Once selected communication was very clear, there were no surprises in the pricing. Anytime I had a question my sales rep was quick to get back to me. The installation was scheduled quickly and worked well for me. They showed up right when they said they would (which is impressive) and the installers were very friendly and did a solid job. Everything looks great and I get lots of compliments on the countertops. I've already gone back to them for a bar top and would definitely go back for any future granite needs. read more

Last year I purchased a countertop for my kitchen bar through Granite Works and I was very pleased with the final cut and their service. I revisited Granite Works this year for a complete kitchen renovation. I worked closely with Bruno, one of the managers there, and he was very efficient, patient and responsive to emails and phone calls. Although there were some small hiccups, he worked quickly to get everything resolved and ensured I was satisfied. I purchased cabinets and countertops with them, and I am very happy with the final look of my kitchen. Not sure the entire story here. The core problem is we hired Granite Works to do a new kitchen install. They repeatedly failed to correctly grout between pieces of granite. They tried 3 times and still could not get it correct. One of those times, the worker left behind a razor in the sink. (It would have been a much better experience if they did it right the first time or fixed it on one of the follow up attempts.) So, we just gave up on Granite Works. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth. It seems now that they may have been sold and are owned by a new team. Not sure the full story yet. It seems the previous owner Bruno may have been the one who botched the job, is now blaming his former company, and is sending out marketing emails to his former customers. I will revise this review as we figure sort this out. Live and learn. read more

Prompted by an Angie's List promotion, I contacted Granite Works to get a quote on a very minor job through their web page. A seam in our kitchen counter top has "popped", resulting in a 1/8" gap between the two pieces. I got a very prompt response asking me to send photos of the problem, which I did that evening. Again, I got a quick reply the next morning, but was told "We have to charge the minimum amount of $250 and it should not take more than 45 minutes". I don't know if they meant that $250 was their minimum charge for a service call, but considering they said it would only take 45 minutes to fix, that's a little steep. I can't imagine that the material cost is that high, so I don't see why a granite repairman should get an hourly rate in the ballpark of $300/hour. Also, considering that they have a "$99 for $245" deal on Yelp, I don't see why they "have to charge the minimum amount of $250". Granite Works has a very nice web page, is doing some effective marketing, and is very timely with their communications, but their rates were too high to close the deal for me. read more

I would have liked to be able to write some sort of review for them because I heard they did good work. I was referred to them to have new counters installed in my kitchen. We went to their show room and my wife picked out a product she liked. They came and measured my kitchen counters, then nothing. A month later and we never heard anything from them. Text messages, e-mails, and phone calls have all gone unanswered. Never got a quote of any sort or any indication they were interested in doing the work. I'm going to assume my small kitchen with it's small counter tops wasn't enough work for them. We can't all have 300 square feet of kitchen counters. read more

Bruno took our home renovation as if it were his home. And when we decided on Krion, which is brand new to the USA, he jumped at the opportunity. This stuff is very cool and on display at Porcelanosa. But it's a bit tricky to install. I was pretty sure it wouldn't look perfect when first installed, but I was confident that Bruno would have high standards and would want not only for it to look right to him but for me to be happy with it as well. About a week later they came back out and took the bridge out and drilled into the granite (which worried me a little) and completed the job in a very good amount of time. We called Granite Works after getting what seemed like an insanely high seam repair estimate from another company. One piece of granite had shifted over time, so we needed it pushed back, and also needed holes drilled near our sink. I contacted Granite Works to see if they had granite remnants for 3 bathroom vanity counter tops I wanted to replace. They were top rated on Angie's List and got their Service Award, so I contacted them with the measurements of my existing countertops and asked for a quote. Bruno gave me a quick response with straightforward pricing. I went to visit them, and he said I could chose pretty much any granite remnant on the lot. He even included an undermount sink, and gave me a choice of edges for the same price he quoted me. He did not try to up-sell me. I was very impressed with the turnaround time! He said he could install them in just a few days. They were very accommodating to my schedule, and the installers came when they said they would. They were friendly, professional, and did a great job. After the granite was installed, I ended up not liking a color that I had selected for one of the vanities, and I called them to see what could be done. Bruno said he'd replace it, and to come down and select another remnant. I told him ultimately I'd love something in the Giallo Ornamental range, and although he didn't have a remnant for that on the lot, he said he'd be getting one in for another job in the next week and that he'd let me know if there was some left over. There was, and in the end, I couldn't be happier. The granite looks great and has completely updated the look of my bathrooms. I'm completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this company to everyone! read more

I had a GREAT experience with GraniteWorks. As a very budget-conscious person, I realized that if I wanted quality (both product, service, and support) I would need to spend a little more. We received several estimates. We met with Gustavo on a Sunday afternoon and looked at their selection. He was very professional, provided answers to all of our questions, and did not rush us. He was VERY responsive to email, which was great since I am a tech-guy. We were able to make a decision later that week and move forward. The Installers did a great job and were very courteous. The install went well and looked good to me - but my general contractor noticed one of the pieces was not cut straight (due to the wall not being straight) - They immediately came back out that week and fixed it, cutting into the wall to correct the issue. No charge (even though it would appear that this was not THEIR fault - but one of those things you find in a house once you begin demo) Follow-up was great as well. Gustavo called to make sure I was happy. That's important because I had paid him already but he showed us that he cared about the project even after he got paid. In conclusion, let these guys give you an estimate. If you find a cheaper solution, you get what you pay for. While they were a LITTLE flexible with the numbers, they were still one of the higher priced options. That being said, our kitchen looks INCREDIBLE and the "seam" that everyone worries about so much, is barely visible unless you are looking for it. One face cabinet was chipped, toe kicks were missing and the cabinet over the sink needed a cover since I didn't place a light under it. The salesman was good, the selection of marble was also good. The person who came out to take final measurements knew his profession well. Scheduling was effortless and professional. The price, by the way, was less than competitors, but, with the different grades and features of marble, it is difficult to comparison-shop. Similar to buying a mattress in that regard, but our finished product is excellent and I would definitely do business with them again. read more

Every time I look at my waterfall edge peninsula I feel cheated and it's been a year. My experience was not good. $3800+ cambria quartz slab and it's crooked. Started off with the person who did the measuring. He came in cocky and started measuring and didn't even look at the paperwork to see what I was getting done. I had to tell him I was a getting a waterfall edge and then he looked at his paperwork. When he measured for the waterfall I noticed that he was measuring for a one inch overhang. I said to him that a waterfall should be flush with the cabinets. He said "no there should be an extra inch added. Ok.... so let's get to delivery. First delivery was wrong color. Peninsula and wall countertops were switched. Had to wait for new slabs which to their credit they owned up to and fixed rather quickly. Second delivery..right colors but when they put the peninsula slab on they realized it was too long...by 1 inch! Really? Not knowing what to do they asked if they can cut my wall in an inch and slide the countertop in the wall . Said no for many reasons with the number 1 being that's just plain crazy. So instead of taking it back to the shop, they took it to my backyard and free hand cut it. It wasn't cut perfectly straight. Installed, the waterfall part gets progressively wider from top to bottom so by the bottom it's no where near flush with the cabinet and sticks out at least 2 inches. Luckily it's on the less noticeable prep side of the kitchen. I wasn't pleased about that and 1 other thing so I had someone come out to my house. He showed up at 1:30 for a 2:00 appointment and was about to leave because I was a "no show". My neighbor happened to see him and called me and stopped him. I have the email telling him that I can be home at 2:00. Then he gets in my house and tries to blame the mistake on my walls and my cabinets being crooked. This is just plain ridiculous when those walls had just been built and everything was installed by a 2 licensed contractors. One being my husband who does commercial and residential. Making sure everything is level and straight is contracting 101. It was just insulting. He said he could straighten it but there would be a gap between the wall and the countertop but he would install a backsplash to cover the imperfection. Not the look I was going for and I paid too much money for this jack leg fix so no thank you. And besides my sink cutout had to be considered. Anyway I knew I was stuck with it because considering their first mistake I had no chance of getting another slab. The slab is beautiful to the naked eye but it's just not the polished finished look I paid for. read more

It pains me to write this review because I genuinely liked the people there but I ended up being pretty unhappy with the final process. My sister had GW install her countertops and recommended them to me so she had a great experience with them. That being said, I went in alone to pick my countertops. I was able to see some samples and they even had a slab in stock to show me what it would look like. Great! After leaving I called them the next day to say my husband wanted to stop by with me that weekend to see the stone as well so please hold off on ordering. They said that was fine, we agreed that I would be there at opening time on Sunday and that they would have the samples pulled for us to view. When we came in on Sunday there was one individual helping about four families. We had our five month old daughter in tow and after about an hour of waiting, Bruno did arrive. He helped us first but we didn't have the samples ready. Kind of frustrating. Then we got a call the day before install that the quartz slab had been cracked and we would need to postpone the install. My husband and I both took off work to be there so we were frustrated. We were told we could have whatever time we wanted on the following Friday for install. I told them please in the morning, ASAP. I had to call them back the day before install to finally find out they booked me for 12-3pm (?!?). Come that Friday, my husband and I were both off work again and were told to expect a call from the install team a half hour before they would arrive. At about 3pm I called the main office to ask why I hadn't gotten a call and where they were. I was told he couldn't get in touch with the install team, wasn't sure when they'd be there and basically brushed me off. When the install team finally arrived, I asked why they hadn't called, they told me that they didn't have my phone number to call. At this point it was near 4pm on a Friday and I was hoping to have the project started. I called the main line to tell them how frustrated I was and he basically laughed and said "well what do you want me to do about it?" "I wanted you to come the first day. Then I wanted you to come Friday morning. Now I wanted it to be started within the 12-3pm time frame". I called Bruno on his cell phone twice and did not receive a call back, ever. The quartz ended up being great, the install team was professional and quick. But overall I wouldn't work with them again. The stone is beautiful and worth the money but the hassle and frustration with the team was not worth my time. It makes me mad still thinking about it. read more

I was attempting to reach a Manager or Owner and I kept being referred to a Bruno; The same 'Bruno' who threatened a refund before the project started. Clearly you do not know what good customer service is; it is NOT reneging on a service after a customer is paying over $3,000 to install granite; Good customer service is following through promptly. All you have done is repeat the convoluted explanation "Bruno" gave. Stick to the facts-this has nothing to do with the Yasa "Big Deal" It has to do with your advertising and reneging on your services. There are other granite companies willing to take my business and BBB has been contacted. These guys know how to run a business. They gave me a two hour window to wait for them to come to fix a granite counter top that I had split in half, and the business owner called me 10 minutes into that window to let me know his crew was running behind and he was coming out personally to fix my counter. I've had to wait all day for the cable company to not even bother to tell me they weren't coming at all, but Granite Works did what they had to do to keep their word. He showed up 45 minutes into the originally scheduled window, well within the promised time. As someone who loves doing repairs myself, I enjoyed talking to him about the repair process, the granite business, and how Home Depot did not do their job right to begin with. He worked steadily, skillfully, and clearly has the experience. My granite counter broke at the sink, so there were two places that had to be reconnected. One of the seams was finished so you could only see the crack when you looked for it, and the other seam was completely invisible. That depended on how my granite split. The cost of the repair was reasonable and affordable. I was talking to him about getting some more granite for some further renovation, and he quoted me a price about one half of what Home Depot's online estimator quoted me. I will DEFINITELY come back to Granite Works when I have the money for some further renovations. read more

We went to them because we saw that their prices were good. However, the staff we worked with seemed dishonest. They sold our slab "by accident" the day after we picked it out....less than 18 hours later! Then when we confronted them about it, their stories didn't match up and they avoided the whole subject. I love a great deal, but I love good customer service and honest salesmen better. If you do go, just keep a close eye on them. In the end, we got the counter top we wanted and it does look good. However, they forgot to give us our free cutting board (where the sink it cut) so I have to call to get it. read more

I was able to schedule same week, they arrived during the window of time I was given, the work was done professionally, they were clean and very friendly. I would recommend. I had a fabulous experience with Granite Works for our kitchen remodel earlier this winter. Bruno was great to work with from start to finish - he was responsive, knowledgeable and very helpful. I'm an end-product customer who needed a countertop in our kitchen. We had a bit of a unique situation where we wanted to use a piece of stone we had, and while others we unwilling to work with it, they signed on to give it a try. When it didn't work out, Bruno fixed the situation with a solution that I can't imagine was cost-conscious for his company but that was amazing from a customer service standpoint. After dealing with dozens of companies throughout our remodel who acted like they were doing us a favor allowing us to hire them and pay them, working with Granite Works was a refreshing experience. I will keep it sweet and simple. They installed an outdoor granite countertop for my outdoor kitchen. The mitered sides all popped off over the winter months and they came back out, replaced it- minus the mitered edges. We collectively decided that water got between the edge and compounded with freezing temperatures it was bound to happen. They returned the cost of the mitered edge and even sent a nice gift with a card signed by the staff. I know some dude earlier complained about their prices, but that does not deserve a poor rating. Hey, if you don't want to pay the price to have a BMW mechanic change the oil in your car- go to Jiffy Lube, but don't complain about it. read more

Not only did he fix the crack, but he filled in a piece of marble that was missing and you can't even tell!
