The is the first time I've used Rockville Granite. I had a small quartz kitchen countertop installed with a new sink. Daniella was my point of contact and she was amazing to work with! She was pleasant, professional, and helped me with suggestions for selections. The estimate was very close to budget, and with industry standards. You pay 50% up front. Very bad experience. Unprofessional. The manager that provided me the quote - Daniela - seemed fine at first and gave me a good price. However, when I started asking questions, suddenly this uncovered a whole range of additional expenses that raised the price by at least 50%. When I asked for explanations, the manager started muddying the waters, became condescending, telling me that they typically work with contractors and this is how things are. Eventually the exchange simply deteriorated to an impasse. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

I was in contract with another local Granite place. That company promised to install the counter top in 3-5 days, but later I learned that their installation time frames were almost three weeks. A margin of error on their behalf that forced me to cancel the contract. Very frustrating. With the holidays around the corner, I yelped my around to find another counter company. The ones with higher rates were overpriced by hundreds of dollars for the Level # granite I was interested in. Rockville granite did not have a strong "Yelp" background, so I thought I would go to them directly. Yes, it was a family owned shop and it does not give the Corporate presence (who wants a customer service drone helping you anyways). They even have their little dog running around. I found that adorable being a dog owner myself and I enjoy supporting small local businesses. They were on point with their stone knowledge and were very accommodating with the shorten timeline. Their pricing was reasonable and their installation process was smooth. As for the other commentary of the installers not speaking English. I did not have a problem. The lessons here is to not rely 100% on the YELP reviews. If it wasn't for my old fashion, in person, approach I would have overpaid and would still be waiting for my counter's to be installed. My husband and I were looking for new countertops and stopped by this place after a few others. By this point, we had an idea of what we were looking for, the beautiful carrera marble...or a quartz look a like. This place isn't fancy and over top like one of the other places we looked, but it had a large garage with slabs of marble as well as lots of sample pieces of the quartz. The sales guy was very helpful and patient and helped us get a quick estimate for our kitchen. Note that we did a general measurement before we started looking. The pricing is competitive and they allowed us to buy per SF instead of the whole quartz slab like the other places required. Since we have a small kitchen, this is exactly what we needed. They require 50% down payment prior to ordering the material. The whole process, from the time we stepped foot in the store to the final install was about 2 weeks. The install went well, even though the guys didn't speak much English, they understood our requests for sink hole cut outs and did a great job. I'm pleased with the service and price, and absolutely LOVE my new countertops! read more

The best customer service! I looked many places for my Cambria Galloway crushed quartz countertops. Nowhere else did I find this level of Servuce and professionalism. Daniela is the sweetest, most helpful beginning point of contact. She patiently gave me quotes, explained the process and answered my tons of questions. I had to keep putting off my remodel due to pandemic and restrictions in my condo but she was always cheerful and ready to help. Lewis, who came to measure was in time, extremely courteous and, most of all, anticipated a couple of issues I could have had with the visual around the sink and told me how we could fix it. The installers were amazing. Rafael, Jose and I'm sorry I don't remember the third one, we're an amazing coordinated team that clearly knows what they are doing and how to get it right the first time. They had to fit an L-shaped piece just right and it was like watching ballet to see them work together. Everything was unbelievably smooth and I highly recommend them. I believe they also had the most competitive pricing. Almost makes me wish I had another kitchen to remodel! read more

Fast...small operation...not busy (that should have been my hint?) I had searched around for granite countertops and found the color I liked and a deal from another granite shoppe. Rockville Granite said they would honor it, but then after measuring, found it would cost more, as the total was above the 40 sq. ft. we thought. I was fine with that, as they had my Dallas White that I wanted - it ended up costing me $600 over our first estimate (even though Luis had the measurements). Luis is a good salesperson - and they were FAST (perhaps too fast). Luis measured the next day and the granite was in two days later. The problem was that the installers used the "wrong" glue to do the seam which discolored the granite...and they cut the holes too small and wrong for the faucets that were going to be installed. Luis agreed that that was his mistake because he didn't give them the correct information. My plumbing costs were double of what they needed to be as he needed to redrill holes in the granite...and I had to order new faucets for one bathroom - an expense I didn't appreciate...and the plumber now has to come back a second time, which means another bill. I expected the manager at Rockville Granite to understand and gave her the opportunity to reduce my bill by a few hundred dollars, but she basically said we tried our best to make it right and could not even drop the cost by a couple hundred...to cover my extra expense and the fact that I had to be home for another day while they worked...because of their mistakes. I don't blame the salesmen or workers, as they can only do as well as they are trained. They all seemed like very nice people. But, there is no excuse for using the wrong glue, cutting faucet holes wrong, or sending something that is the wrong measurement. My bathrooms and kitchen look pretty good, so in the end it was fine, but spare the aggravation and try another company... read more

I went to Rockville Granite last weekend looking for a 7 SF remnant slab. I worked with a salesperson and found a slab that he told me was $35/SF. I went back today to order it and it was not a "slab" it was a full stone which was $45/SF and I would have to order 30 SF of it. I told the owner what the other salesperson told me and she said "he is training" and the only way to get that piece was in the remnant, which would have to have a joint right down the middle. She let me walk out very upset and without purchasing anything. I am in sales and would never let a customer (potential or existing) walk out like she did today. I will never go back there and will let everyone I know looking for countertops to not go there. read more

I shopped around for a piece of quartz for a bathroom vanity for a vessel sink. They had good prices. So I walked past slabs of granite, quartz and marble, into the little room with sink samples, stone samples, the office and a little dog who greeted me. I thought, this is comfortable for me, though I can't imagine the woman in Chevy Chase hanging' here. It felt like I walked into their world, where they were the experts, instead of paying for the brick and mortar for me to feel coddled. The owner greeted me and priced out some samples. One thing led to the next. Now, they have installed my kitchen counters seamlessly, professionally and quickly. I don't speak Spanish, but a hand gesture here and a bit of English there did the trick. I really had wanted a female or minority-owned business to do the work and went to Mont. Co. to find a company, but it was not helpful!. Alas, I stumbled onto this gem, run by strong, professional, engaging woman with competitive pricing. Lucky me.
