On Friday, we were looking for 2" x 10", 16' Douglas fir. The boards were stacked just high enough to be awkward, and they were heavy and damp. The two of us must have looked slightly ridiculous wrestling them down -- yet several employees passed by and never asked if we needed help. We were also told T&G plywood was in stock. After waiting 20-30 minutes while someone "went to look," we eventually tracked down a manager who confirmed they were actually out. We spent nearly an hour there and had planned to place about a $1,000 order. The next day, we decided to try Big Creek Lumber right off Hwy 1 - very easy to get to - and what a difference. We were in the lumber yard less than five minutes when someone driving a forklift stopped, turned it off, and asked if we needed help. He walked us directly to the 2x10x16' Douglas fir. When we noticed it was damp, he immediately showed us where the kiln-dried lumber was inside the warehouse. When we still didn't find exactly what we needed, he personally walked us into the sales office, introduced us to one of the agents, and explained what we were looking for. The level of helpfulness was honestly surprising, in the best way. After finishing in the yard, we went inside for hardware. Even in the store, multiple people checked in to see if we needed assistance. At one point, even another customer offered help! The lumber yard is huge, the staff is attentive, and the entire experience was efficient and pleasant. We'll absolutely be back.

We got in touch with Dillon and explained. He understood, asked some questions, made some recommendations, and came back to us with a detailed quote. We were surprised with the price, it was reasonable and under what we expected to pay. He sent over a contract which included the estimated time to complete the work. 10-12 working days. Eric was assigned as our project manager for the project, and Jaime was the lead foreman. They were phenomenal as was the entire crew that did the work. They cleaned up at the end of every day, and made sure we had a safe way to enter/exit our home. They were friendly and kept us in the loop the whole time. During their work, we decided that we wanted to replace the front yard fence, and after letting them know, they completely replaced the fence the next day. They did all the work with the city to get the necessary approvals for the curb work, as well as handled all the work with the utility companies to make sure their work didn't damage anything underground. The result is great, and we love how it turned out. It's better than what we wanted, and they managed to do it all within the original quoted time AND at the original quoted price (excluding the change order for the fence replacement).
