Central Home has a great outdoor display of several products and they work hand in hand with installers and suppliers. They are more set up for selling to installers than direct to the public but they still try to accomodate everyone. It's nice to have a reasonbly priced resouse in Scotts Valley where you can see different landscape and masonry products.

Thought I'd shop local and not be the minute man at 3:45 pm. "Sorry we closed early." Yeah I get it, rainy day, but I have cash. "Oh we closed everything up, do you have an account?" No I don't - "sorry we can't help you." Just change your closing hours to 3 pm then, . . . or have your employees honor your posted business times. I wouldn't be writing this specific review if this was a one time occurrence. Pleasantly over it, buying online. Shipping fees, don't care.

The only problem I have ever encountered was the result of a door manufacturer (not Marvin) that could take a few lessons from the millwork. You won't find anyone in the industry that knows more about windows and doors than Tom Nedelski. The Millwork industry is tuff, but Tom rises above them all to provide a pleasant experience for the customer.

We have had truly mixed experiences with this business. The women who work at the stores and the…read moremale assistant is always helpful, kind, funny, warm. The male owner of the store is often not friendly and not warm to us. In fact, a couple of times he was very rude to my husband, (snappy, up-charged on an item even though my husband pointed it out, threw credit card at him, etc). My husband is a clean-cut, mild-mannered Mexican man -- who truly is non confrontational in his approach to others. We have decided we would rather travel across town than return after recent interactions. :(
