    Western bbq burger
    Annie A.

Lots of people in town complaining about this place since they switched owners, but I'm obsessed! So I had to share, their western bbq burgers with fries and drink is so delicious... I had a weekly addiction lol the sodas are smaller than most places but it's always just enough for me. No complaints. The waitstaff is always nice and repeat the order back. If you haven't tried or already have, try them again! Worth the wait

Absolutely amazing I can definitely see why this burger place shows up on the map before any other business in the local area. It's absolutely essential to the environment and should be given historical status even though I have no idea how long it's been around... I'd like to voucher this place that I've been going to for one day with my life and guarantee your joy of this as well... I didn't go for the gimmicky fancy burgers instead, I choose to have my burgers in quantitative amounts of bags. Therefore, on this trip, I acquired a bag of cheeseburgers along with a bag of corn dogs and a bag of fries, and they were kind enough to put all of these bag items into another bag, all of which were completely soaked through with delicious God's grease... I will say being that this is an original religious establishment. I don't say that with any disrespect only the other moat respect is given here, knowing that they put quality into their food and the fact that four people can eat bags of delicious items for under $25 is truly unmatched these days

We've heard for years that the burgers here are really good. We were in the area so we made the stop to try it out. The drive thru seemed steadily busy but only a few other people were seated outside at the picnic tables near us. The friendly cashier inside appeared to still be getting familiar with things so didn't have answers to the couple of questions we had but that was ok. She was doing a great job & trying her best. We order 2 cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings and fries pickle spears. The burger was very unimpressive. Just a very thin beef patty with average toppings and a flat bun. The slice of cheese was so small I actually opened the burger to make sure they added it on. The fries & onion rings were very average, and the pickle spears were under-fried. I suppose had higher hopes for this little local diner. We scout out this type of place because typically these are the places we love. This time it just didn't live up to our hopes.

This is a great little spot in the Estacada area. It's got great little burgers it's got a cone for $1.05 for kids which is amazing and the Customer Service is outstanding. The milkshakes have fresh fruit and fresh ingredients and they are delicious. If you're in the Estacada area and you wanna stop by a cool little diner, vibe restaurant with great classic music very calm small town feel this is the place to be.

Our table had two fish and chips, a Ruben sandwich and a steak salad. My Ruben came out first. OK. Over sauced and onion rings were oily. Several minutes later the two fish and chips came out. Some of the fish was burnt and fries were an embarrassment..virtually all end bits. After about another ten minutes the steak salad came. Since the steak is presmoked and only needs to get heated don't know why it took so long to come out. Sadly there was no part of our meal that was even considering good. For example in the women's restroom there are no stall doors, only shower curtains. We were told to pick a table and ordered coffee. The coffee was ok but it came with 2% milk, not half and half or creamer. In order to make coffee at all creamy we had to add a lot of milk which made the coffee cold. We asked the friendly waitress if they had half and half and she said they only had powdered creamer. I should have ordered tea! The food was ok. I had 2 eggs over easy, hasbrowns and sourdough toast. All were just fine. My daughter had the same but with a poached egg which was severely underdone with watery egg whites. We didn't send it back because we had already complained about the milk for the coffee. All in all we had a decent breakfast on a rainy morning where we didn't want to cook outside. Would we come back? We would probably try another place.

But, upon seeing my food, with 'so thick', 'so brown' gravy wasn't pleasing to me. Hubby, who grew up, whose family eat gravy with almost anything over potatoes (never on rice mind you), loved it! I'm not sure, if I prefer having Saltine Crackers best than what I'm having tonight. I took 3/4ths of my food, to eat with some vegetables. We also ordered soup of the day, which was chicken noddle soup with tomato base. I love that! The dinner salad, was also good. Both were shared. But the pizza! Off the charts!, FULL REVIEW of all Services: If anyone who enjoys hiking, river fishing, or just a general outdoor-focused vacation wants a good, simple getaway with their spouse/loved one, check out the Backwoods brand in Carson, Washington (just north-northeast of Bridge of the Gods/Cascades Locks). Backwoods Cabins offers a really great overnight stay option. The 8 cabins there are all basic "two-room" designs (bedroom and attached bathroom, and a living room / mini-kitchen room). The cabins sport king-sized beds, a gas fireplace and outdoor fire, a mini kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and microwave (no stove/range). I think 3 of the 8 cabins welcome dogs. The Backwoods brand also owns Backwoods Brewery, which is just across the road from the cabin property. They have great microbrew beers (from light lagers to GREAT stouts!). The brewery also has a smokehouse, with fantastic smoked brisket, pulled pork, and house-made sausage/brats. But even better, the Backwoods Brewery offers the BEST PIZZA I've had in decades. The pizza dough is a perfect balance of flavor and texture. It's not too thin and not too thick. The crust is chewy in the middle, with a great crusty edge and base. The red sauce (they also have a white sauce we didn't try) is thick and rich, with a few tomato chunks. It's got a slight spicy bite with a sweet finish. They also have some unique house pizzas. We tried the Whistle Punk - Red sauce, bacon, smoked brisket, peppadew peppers, sweet onions, fresh mozzarella rounds - and the Pepperoni Express - Red sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, tomatoes, banana peppers, smoked mozzarella. Both were outstanding. I'd go so far as to say both Donna and I deemed these the best pizzas we've had in 35+ years (noting that our first date was at a pizza joint in Fife we both thought was the best-ever pizza). If you stay in the Backwoods Cabins, you get two coupons for free drinks at the brewery (beer/wine/cider/cocktails) as well as an assortment of snacks for your hiking adventures, and a full S'mores kit to use over the gas fire pit. And if you are in a dog-friendly cabin, you get complimentary treats, and water/food bowls for your canines.

Lots of fresh made menu items, some with a twist from time honored recipes. I really want to support them, but one problem . . . I've gone two times in the last four days around 11:15am, and they were closed. As far as I know, they should be open at 11am. On Saturday, I saw a young lady come of of the door, so I walked over, and she said the owner wasn't there yet, and invited be to come back in 30 minutes. i finished my other arrands and came back 40 minutes later, and they were still not open. I parked in the lot behind the tiny restaurant and waited another 10 minutes before finally leaving. Three days later, I came by at about 11:15am again, and they still hadn't opened. I understand the challenges of a small business, but someone needs to understand the importance of opening on time! I'm not on a clock for work, but if I had been and clocked out to go for lunch, and they weren't open 20-25 minutes after they should be, I'm not sure I would ever go back. I will give them another chance, because I want to support them. I will stop by after 11:30, and hope they are open. UPDATE: I decided to give them another chance and I went by for the third time in six days. This time i waited until 11:40 because the last two times it was closer to the opening time of 11am. SHOCKER!! They were still not open, or even looking like they would be any time soon. The front door was locked, the chairs outside were still stacked and there was no sign that anyone was around. For me, that's strike three. You would think a small business would do all they could to be open on time. And if you have a valid reason for not being open, leave a small not at the door. I'm sure the food is good, but I won't waste my time driving the 4 miles to try again. Sorry ladies!
