Definitely a local restaurant! You can tell by the clientele. A all American menu with good down to earth choices. I ordered the veggie omelette which came with choice of toast. The onion rings looked amazing so ordered those as well to share. Employee was friendly and very pleasant. My omelette was delicious with lots of veggies and pepper jack cheese. Definitely get the onion rings again and probably the chili next time!

Biscuit that comes with the omelette and a side of Bowl Gravy.

We stopped her for breakfast and had a wonderful meal! We were looking for a small town diner and we found it. Service was great and the food was quick and hot! Biscuits are amazing!

Needed a place to eat when heading back home. Bob Evans was packed so we found this place on Yelp. Driving through farm land and all of a sudden we seen Granny's Kitchen! It's about 5-7 miles or so off the main freeway. Quaint and cozy place. Lobby was super cute with decor. Inside is a large open dining room. Very busy, came on Sunday at noon. Good breakfast and lunch options. We went with breakfast. My husband got country fried steak and I got 2 cakes, 2 eggs, and 3 bacon strips. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Bathrooms a little icky. Single stall with a manufactured feel to it. Smelt old and musty. Bathrooms are in the back where the walk in and kitchen is located. They could use a bit of an update. Very good portions and good pricing. Food was excellent. Pancakes were fluffy, bacon was perfectly crisp, and eggs cooked the way I wanted. My husband enjoyed his country steak and it was filling. Coffee not so great, had a strange after taste to it. Pay your check at the cash register!

We stopped for breakfast and we weren't disappointed! It's great home-town good American eggs and meat breakfasts. I had the corn beef hash with eggs and toast. My husband had steak and eggs. We also ordered a blueberry pancake. We both enjoyed our meals very much. My corn beef, as you can see in the photo, came like a patty but was moist and delicious. My husband's steak had great flavor and cooked to his liking. The pancake was light and yummy. My coffee mug was never empty and the coffee was hot and good. We will stop here again. COVID-19 protocols were followed and everything was very clean. The staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, a great place for a good, home-cooking style breakfast.

I haven't been here for over a year, but the food is still wonderful. I ordered liver and onions, something I don't get very often, but it tasted outstanding. And the fresh fries were great as well. It has an ambience of a small town restaurant and the decor might remind you of the Fabulous Fifties, but everything was great, including our server.

The Three Cheese Grilled Cheese had an insane cheese pull and was loaded with melty, delicious cheese. The tater tots were surprisingly flavorful, seasoned with a unique blend that definitely had onion and a hint of garlic, along with other spices I couldn't quite identify--but they were fantastic! The Mouthful definitely lives up to its name. It's huge, incredibly filling, and absolutely worth ordering if you're hungry. To top it all off, we tried the crème brûlée for the first time ever, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It was delicious and made for an awesome first experience with the dessert. Overall, South Street Grill exceeded all expectations. It does get busy, which isn't surprising considering how good the food is, but it's easy to get to and well worth the wait. A MUST-TRY if you're in the area! We'll definitely be back!

The smoked pork belly end app was excellent. The sauce is a tad sweet for me but they tasted great. I got the steak bombs which were chunks of sirloin marinated and grilled. They added onions and mushrooms as an option and giant baked potato on the side. The prices are very reasonable. It's a nice atmosphere and I noticed they have various events outside during the summer that look fun. I'll definitely be back!

My husband and I decided to go for an early Valentine's Day lunch celebration and I chose Chinatown…read morefor our destination because I had had some great Sweet-and-Sour Pork there before on their lunch menu and wanted to have that again. We were disappointed when we arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon and there was no lunch menu-- we were given the full dinner menu with the full prices! Nonetheless, we ordered an appetizer to share, the Pot Stickers, and we each ordered the Garlic Shrimp as our entrée at $18 each. Our server was pleasant and as attentive as she could be given that she was the only server and they had her running around pretty good. While we were waiting for our food, we remarked that we both liked the decor of the restaurant with its red and black interior and distinctive Chinese design. This is maybe when we should've ditched. We first received our Pot Stickers appetizer, which arrived hot and sizzling, which I will say with enthusiasm was pretty darn good! We had high hopes for our entrées after this. We shouldn't have gotten our hopes up. After what seemed like a long while they arrived. Two plates of ?? what the hell was this stuff ? We recognized the shrimp and the rice but not much else. Okay it was two rather smallish plates with a load of rice topped with some shrimp and very mushy broccoli at each of the four corners. That was it. This broccoli was so mushy I could have eaten it with no teeth! That was the only vegetable. Every other Chinese restaurant in town makes Garlic Shrimp with a variety of vegetables in it! You know...crispy vegetables, cooked in a wok. And the sauce... Was there any? This dish was so bland and tasteless! There didn't appear to be any sauce in it. We both left hungry and $56 later because they wouldn't comp the bill at all after we complained! Did they run out of garlic? Did they run out of vegetables? Whether they ran out of either or both they did run out of two customers because we will never return and they get a bad review in return!

We chose to sit in the lounge in a four top booth. Our waitress was attentive this go around bringing our meal came out as requested! We decided on something a little different, the pu pu platter and extra eggrolls while my wife ordered a bowl of their Chinese chicken noodle soup. It all came out perfectly! The chicken noodle soup was huge! We ended up taking over half home. The pu pu platter was delicious and colorful! Our drinks were superb as they always are here! So happy for the rebound!
