They don't have any prices for their permanent bracelets so I had no idea what to expect but I knew I wanted 14k gold, and I was most interested in a Cuban chain. This could have been a case of miscommunication coupled with the fact I don't like confrontation, but when I asked about the price I swore I was told ~$250. That seemed reasonable to me, I've been looking into Cuban chains and that was the price point I was seeing for about that size in 14k. When it came to checkout the price was $2,450 for just the permanent bracelet.....I was in a rush and again, don't love confrontation, so I paid and left but I feel like I seriously over paid for this tiny light weight chain. I was planning on getting more bracelets and jewelry plus some new piercings but after this I don't know if I trust their prices. I think I may use them to find cool jewelers, but purchase elsewhere. It's my fault I didn't double check the price, I take ownership in that. I would just caution against the permanent jewelry, at least learn from my mistake and get the price in writing not just verbally. Update: wow that was a super fast response! They reached out to me after seeing my review. Thank you so much Nadia for your call. I can tell you all really care about your customers. Looking forward to coming back this weekend. Additional side notes, I really appreciate the care they put into fitting the jewelry for customers. I've also have had things shipped to me and their packaging is lovely with nice presentation. I got my first ear piercings at age 8 with a gun at the mall. I am decades from that day now. I arranged a consult with Ben, who asked detailed questions, assessed my current stack and suggested I had enough lobe health to do a piercing stacked on top of my first piercing. This will allow me to wear studs together or to wear a statement earring in the new hole without the issue of more stretching. He recommended jewelry options based on my style, then brought me back to do the piercing same-day (it was a Monday morning, so the store wasn't busy). He was meticulous in the setup and talked me through every step of the process. Easy and done. It's been two weeks and my new piercings are healing beautifully and I am already loving the placement and the options it affords me. When worn with earrings in my original first piercings, the two stacked together actually detract from the stretching. Ben is a total pro. If and when I get more piercings I absolutely will ask for him.

We took the bracelet in to see what could be done. There is nearby paid parking but no dedicated parking because it's San Francisco. We arrived as a family, kids in tow. You have to press a button to be buzzed into the building. Then you go up in an elevator and once you exit you need to be buzzed in again to the actual showroom. It's a small but beautiful room. The associate who helped us, I can't remember her name (Lila?), Asian, dark hair, young woman. She was amazing! She coordinated a refund of the bracelet immediately. She then took the time to show us pieces in the showroom. At first the selection seemed limited, but if you have time to try on a couple items, that's all you really need to fall in love with something. The associate was the opposite of pressure, she put us at ease. She did not rush, she educated and listened. She was lively and had us in tears with laughter. It's was a joy to interact with her. She showed us items online and told us that we could select any item online to be delivered to the showroom to try on. It was a wonder experience.

My girlfriend knew I would be proposing on her birthday, and Brilliant Earth said the ring would be ready in time. It wasn't. The order status page still showed "arriving" on the promised date, but the San Francisco store did not actually have the ring. The delay was frustrating, but the lack of communication was worse. I received no proactive update. I spent hours emailing, waiting more than 24 hours for replies, calling customer service, sitting on hold, and speaking with someone in a call center who had to message the SF store just to find out whether my ring was there. There was no way to call the store directly about my own pickup order. I was also told one thing over the phone and something different when I came in person and spoke with the manager. For such an important, time-sensitive purchase, the process felt disorganized and unreliable. The staff were generally polite, but the system was a mess. I chose Brilliant Earth over less expensive online jewelers because I expected better service. Instead, the experience added stress and disappointment to what should have been a joyful moment.
