Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! Nikki was horrible with the sales in the beginnjng and that should have been a huge red flag. We are now in the process of selling our home and find out that grant put our pool over a utility easement and a zoning issue. We are 2,000 into feels trying to get it cleared up with real estate services and Charlotte County before losing the sell if our home. They agreed to pay the fees back to us but, now won't return our phone calls and we are humiliated with a big sign in our yard from the county due to their mistakes. Thanks GRANT! They also own holiday pools as well. I highly advise to choose elsewhere.

They make promises with their fast talk, but throw the contract at you. They damaged our grass, scrubs, and irrigation.

I just had a great experience with this Better Pools and Spas. My pool had a break in the skimmer…read moreand the entire skimmer needed to be replaced. They gave me the best price, showed up on time, did a great job and cleaned up before they left. What more can you ask for? I was very impressed and will be recommending them to my real estate clients going forward! Thanks guys!

In 2016 we discovered a leak in our pool. BPS sent another company out to do a leak test. That cost…read more$600. We were told the leak was in the skimmer. BPS came out to fix the skimmer. That cost $2k. Pool was still leaking water. Had to have another leak test. Another $600. We were told the pipes from the pool to the filter were leaking. At that time we decided to get the pipes fixed and have the pool and lanai resurfaced to make sure we had no more issues. That cost $14k. Guess what? Pool still losing water. Now it was the pump and filter. Stan said the best pump would be variable speed. We didn't want that because we knew it would not work correctly with the solar heat system. He assured us it would be fine and would save us so much money on our electric bill. They installed it. That cost $6k. From day one we had trouble with it because of the solar heat system. Their solution? Send out a technician to manipulate it to work like a regular pump, which would have cost us $1200.00 if they had done what we wanted in the first place. Then, six months later the resurfacing of the lanai started to crack and crumble. I called Stan at least a dozen times. It took so long for him to get back to me that, according to him, the subcontractor he used wouldn't guarantee it. Last time I spoke to him was in December 2019. He assured me he'd get back to me "after the holidays". I'm still waiting. Half of the lanai coating has cracked and crumbled. I'm having a new company come out and resurface it next week. Run, don't walk. This company isn't worth your time or money.

not impressed with service. joe the rep came out and inspected pool while i was at work, called me…read morefor payment and left receipt for me. when i got home from work reviewed and thought i understood . this is what receipt stated leak at return line behind *3 water return $1750.00 to fix could not afford at this time. i started to repair on my own cut tile and concrete at what i thought would be #3 to find no leak. so i am not a pro pool person so i called to get varication how to proceed joe the tech was on vacation for two weeks no problem so i waited. when i called i was told that if i needed him to tell me i would need to pay for a service call again Lauren was nice enough to tell me that #3 was the third return from skimmer clockwise. that is what i thought and that is where i opened the concrete already and found no leak. not happy with results .

I bought a house in Port Charlotte area a few months ago. I noticed I was filling up my pool more…read morethan once a week. I tried finding leaks in the heater and pumps, but nothing was significant enough to warrant that much of a leak. I looked up Sherlock via Yelp and noticed they had good reviews and were local. When I called, my reservation/appointment was within 1 week which was very reasonable since this wasn't a huge issue at the time. The technician came to my house and explained the pricing/labor. I verbally agreed and within a few minutes, he dove into my pool and went to work. He came out about 30 min later and explained he fixed the leak. Apparently the old owner had tried fixing the light fixture on the pool and water was leaking into the sides of it. He removed the old silicone around the light frame and put in a high grade water weld adhesive. My pool doesn't need frequent filling anymore and the total cost of the fix for time and troubleshooting was around $300, which seems very reasonable for what they are doing. I would definitely recommend!
