Brought my 2 year pittie in today for a skin issue, ears, nails and to update him on his vaccinations. My experience was pleasant! I have been to my share of vet offices and this has been by far the best experience to date! Not only was I quoted correctly for my services, but everyone was so kind and gentle to my pup. I left feeling accomplished (which had never been my experience anywhere else!) and satisfied with the care we received. Staff and vet were all kind and explained everything to me. I'm laughing at the negative comments. Dr Leonard has treated all my pets, both dogs and cats, since 1987. I have trusted him completely and have a reason to question him. He is kind of gruff, but he loves his patients. Office staff, manager, and techs are wonderful. I agree that since Dr Leonard retired and sold the practice, it's not the same. They quoted $1200 each to spayed my girls. They quoted $1200 to spayed a man's cat. I went to Franklin Ranch and paid, $600 each to spayed my 2 Goldens. I have been going to Grantline Vet since Dr. Leonard and his wife opened the business. I continued after his retirement. Dr. Silva is a great Veterinarian. I would recommend her to anyone. However, a new vet has been added - I do not know his name. He was awful. My cat had an abcess. That was the only reason we were there. The Vet ignored the wound and started squeezing his belly. So hard, he puked. Then he was "worried' about his breathing. I repeatedly told him the cat was breathing like that because he is stressed out by the vet. Not my first rodeo. And yet, by the time the vet was done, he wanted me to be spending over $1,000 for a cat with an abcess and no other issues. I did not spend the money. He took my cat away (I was not allowed to be with him) while he was given antibiotics. We left and, by the time I got him in the car, lo and behold, he was breathing calmly and deeply. I will never return if my pets need to be treated by him. He was just interested in how much he could charge me. read more

I requested flea and tick treatment and didn't get it nor prescription after talking to both vet and the assistant. There are a lot of polarizing reviews in this page but as I read the one star reviews. I realized that these were extreme circumstances or the patients just had unreasonable expectations. We took our cat Nova in for a UTI and the front staff was great, the vet tech was helpful, and our vet was very informative. We left with a lot of confidence that our cat is taken care of. It's a shame that emotional pet parents would write so many short sighted reviews. My recommendation is to read the 5 and 1 star reviews and make up your own mind about the validity of some of the claims. I'm not saying that the other peoples opinions aren't valid but having been to 10 different vets in my life, I feel like I have a good pulse in what is good versus bad service and grantline def took care of us read more

I took my dog, Tibbers, here for an emergency as he got into some chocolate. I called a few places and the lady who picked up the phone seemed genuinely concerned about my pet unlike some of the other places I called. With the other places, they didn't even care if I brought my pet in, however, at Grantline, you could tell that they cared. They asked a few preliminary questions so by the time I got to their facility, they had all the paperwork done and were ready to start the process to induce vomiting the moment I walked in. Everything felt seamless as I was able to get him back in only 1 hour. To induce the vomiting, stabilize him and administer an IV and charcoal solution, the total bill came out to be ~$400. When releasing him to me, they set up expectations of how he should be reacting for the next few days. Unfortunately, I didn't know that he would be extremely thirsty and constantly need to go to the bathroom. He's never had an accident in the house, but even when taking him out every hour, he still had an accident. I'm not sure what caused this, but if it was from something they administered, I wish that they made me aware so I could have been more prepared and known that I needed to take him out more frequently. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience and I'm just grateful that they were able to help him. Additionally, I was traveling and had bad reception, but Courtney continued to call me and leave me voicemails following up and wanting to check how he was doing. Due to the Holidays, I kept forgetting to call back, but she was persistent and I'm glad to see how much they care! If I'm ever in need of Vet services while in the area, I would definitely come back. I also see that they offer boarding services here so I would definitely need to look into this. Let me start off; my dog was COMPLETELY Healthy prior to entering this nightmare facility. My dogs just needed their annual shots. ANNUAL SHOTS. And this was the result. The all white dog was treated by my previous vet as he is heart worm positive. Gave him antibiotics; for the slow kill. After treatment; took him to GRANTLINE VET for a heart worm test. He popped positive and was recommended to do another lab test for microfilaria or whatever it's called. DOC and staff did not inform me that this blood draw would be to the neck. By the way they take your dog to the back and you have no idea if they're even giving them what you paid for or just taking them for a walk to go take a shit.. After the blood draw TO THE NECK (which I wasn't informed) my dog had the size of a baseball blood CLOT. I'm certain the staff made a mistake and incorrectly drew blood. Ohh wait it gets better; the total out the door was $820 for two dogs getting basic shots, heart worm tests, one anti inflammatory (meloxidyl 10ml) and one of my pups got the one year heart worm prevention shot. Ohh wait there's more; Docs called me and said that the treatment for heart worm positive dog will be a grand total of $4300. Ohh by the way; a one hour appointment turned to be an all morning appointment; I arrived promptly at 0800 and did not leave the doors till noon. Bring your dog here if you want to experience shitty service, have money to blow, and for the staff to show their fake smiles at you and for you to come home and have fear if your dog will die by the following day due to incompetence. This is terrible and I don't write reviews like this. I am a U.S. Veteran and this is just so sad to see. For businesses like this to rack it up and take advantage of people's emotional support system. They know people will do anything for their pets so they won't let that slide. Everything is money money money; poor quality service and very unprofessional. As you can see my dog is severely bruised from his experience. The second set of photos shows the bruising spread all over his chest area. I definitely don't want their service and best thing yet is they're taking their sweet time after I requested to have all the records and receipts provided to me. Dr. Silva is absolutely amazing and i love the staff! They are always very honest and comforting, i started to bring my pup here in 2021 and then switched my lab over from VCA because we were having issues keeping her skin healthy and Dr. Silva explained that if we were willing to try some new things and keep up with it, she had a whole plan laid out and explained it very well for us. Now, my mom even brings her husky here because we found out he has cancer and they're very quick and helpful through this whole process as well as comforting. I originally became a client of Grantline Vet Hospital last year when my sweet old lab Gracie had a sudden visible fast growing tumor and I could not get her an appt. at her normal vet for 2 weeks. I had always gone with what I assumed was the "cheaper" chain vet business, thinking that Grantline was probably too expensive because it looked so fancy. Nope. They got Gracie in as a new patient within 6 days, and the exam and bloodwork were very reasonably priced. It was actually a bit more affordable compared to the big chain. Furthermore, I was able to bring her inside the building and accompany her-which her previous vet was not allowing in 2021- and our appt. started ON TIME. For the last 10 years I had been used to sitting in a lobby with my pets and at least 4-5 other pets of all types for at least 30-40 minutes before getting into the exam room. Then sitting in the exam room for another 10-20 minutes. This never happens at Grantline! They respect your time and your anxious pets needs. Dr. Leonard referred Gracie to a specialist surgeon and got her an appt. the next day, because time was of the essence. After seeing that surgeon we decided not to follow through with the surgery due to her advanced age- the surgeon he referred us to was a real class act, because she "could" have done the surgery and made a ton of money, but she was very honest with me that in her opinion there was a huge chance the cancer had spread even though it wasn't detectable in the lab work yet. The surgery probably wouldn't save her, so we settled for hospice care and kept Gracie comfortable for the next 2 months. Dr. Leonard was the one who euthanized her-the entire process was gentle and calm, and I was very pleased with it. Now we have a new standard poodle puppy Ziggy, and we chose Dr. Leonard as his vet. So I have experience with beginning of life and end of life care with Dr. Leonard now. He is fantastic! Ziggys first appt. was great. They didn't "push" any sort of bs extras at me- which was very nice, because I am used to the chain vets basically upselling all sorts of nonsense to meet some company quota. Because he is still growing so fast, they told me to return in a month to weigh him for his "official" next 3 month flea and tick and heartworm scrips-that was free! I didn't even need to make an appt., I just brought him in for a quick weigh in-no extra fuss, no extra money, no extra time-we were in and out in 2 minutes! That would have been a scheduled $70 visit that took a half hour minimum of my time at the old place! I am so happy with Grantline Vet! I was really surprised to see some bad reviews here. Dr. Leonard is an older guy- his personality might come off as a bit gruff if you are a very sensitive person who is used to professionals kissing your behind in the name of their companies "customer service". He's treating your pet and giving THEM the best care possible. He is worried about taking care of them, his patients, instead of focusing on YOU, the owner, and making YOU feel good so he can milk you for more money. Do you want the best most experienced Dr. or the "nicest" one??? I want the one who is focused on my pet instead of my wallet. I was at first reluctant to post something bad about another person's business. I'd rather not be the reason they fail. But after reading other reviews, I feel like he deserves it. I've had the pleasure of rescuing many cats and dogs and in that experience, I've dealt with many vets. I've always felt respected when asking questions or voicing my concerns. I walked in and he immediately began ignoring what I had to say and rolling his eyes at his assistants. I told him that I didn't like that he was ignoring me. He turned to me and began speaking to me as though I was an idiot and began a super fake, over the top act. I asked him if he's actually speaking to me in that manner? He again ignored me and began telling me what's wrong with my dog and if I interjected with missing pieces of information that he couldn't possibly know since he hadn't asked me, nor had he ever seen my dog, he talked over me. He ridiculed my last vet's diagnosis and treatment, calling it "b*llsh*t". I could write more, but I've already given him too much of my time and energy. To summarize, he is rude, arrogant, condescending, greedy, and fake. Dr. Leonard must have at least 2 personalities because the 5 star reviews are opposite of my experience with him today. read more

Dr.Leonard HIT MY DOG. We first brought our 2 1/2 year old dog Hugo, a German Shepherd into this office a couple months ago to finish off his shots because his office was close to where we moved to. He was rough compared to what I was use to but we didn't think too much of it at the time. Other Dr's talk to Hugo and give treats as they exam him. Today we needed to bring him in because he had the runs and had vomited. When we had arrived we were taken into the exam room. Two assistants put him on the table and proceeded to hold him down and grabbed his snout so he could not move his head. The Dr. procced to check Hugo's ears. By being held down he was stressed, growled and snapped at the Dr. when he did that the Dr. stepped back then came forward and slapped my dog across the face so hard, Hugo growled then whined and tried to get away and was extremely stressed. At that point the Dr yelled at Hugo and grabbed a muzzle and put it on Him. I was in shocked and said wow I've never seen that before. NO DR IN THIS PROFESSION SHOULD LAY HIS HANDS ON ANY ANIMAL OUT OF AGGRESSION. We left the exam room and the Dr tried to apologize saying he was startled but I asked if he thought that was a good idea to prevent aggression. The Dr seemed more irritated that I was upset and not responding well to his apology. I had to leave the building and let my husband finish. When my husband came out he said the bills was $554. I was a even more shocked. He gave him medicine that had never checked him for. Dr took a stool sample but prescribed medication for parasite which Hugo was negative just two months ago plus two other medications for ulcers and acid reflux which was never diagnosed before He is not only a bad Dr but a crook as well. I know I should have pulled our dog immediately but I was so shocked I couldn't process what happened until I was in the truck. Great vet! My 5 month old Sheepadoodle Winston was waking up at night crying and I had no idea he had an ear infection. Dr. diagnosed and treated right away, as well as Giardia (which I know is hot among pups right now). Winston was finally back to his energetic self literally the day after seeing Dr. Leonard. The doctor is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. PLUS...the ladies at the front are so friendly and patient, as are the vet techs. Comfortable waiting room and plenty of parking. Love this office! Very surprised to see some bad reviews. Came here after garbage service at VCA. Dr. Leonard is very direct and to the point. However: he cares for my animals. Yup all Vet clinics are relatively expensive, but at Grantline, at least I get my moneys worth. My boxer had a leg issue, X-rays and a couple exams later, Dr Leonard gave me options. A surgery and plate put in the leg or try and drop a couple pounds to see if that would ease the pressure on the leg. We opted to try and lose some weight. In the mean time, a few days later the office called and said Dr. Leonard had an orthopedic surgeon coming to do some surgeries short notice and could I bring my dog in so he expert specialist take a look. The specialist examined(no charge) and agreed that surgery was an option but lets try cutting a few pounds first. I knew then even if that didn't work, this place was top notch. Sure enough, we cut back the treats and portions and less than a month later, no limping! My family owned Vet for life or till Dr. Leonard retires. read more

Upon approaching this establishment it felt like a cemetery for animals. The location is on a large plot of land with fencing surrounding it. It looks as if there should be animals, horses, running around the land--but there are not. Nonetheless, If I could give this establishment NO STARS I would. Went here because it was the only vet with same day appointments (now I know why). My dog had something going on with his eye, he was in pain and not his usual self. Called around to several places in the area and was able to get into Grantline Vet Hospital the same day. Took my pet in, notified them of his condition and was seen by an elder vet. While in the exam room with my dog, elder vet (a man) and vet's assistant (a woman). The elder vet without even doing the process of rule out immediately told me my dog had fleas, and said my dog needed his eye removed. I mentioned, my dog is allergic to fleas, his undercoat would be red, and he would be scratching like crazy. I also informed Mr. Elder Vet that he (the dog) receives treatment for flea protection on a regular basis. The elder vet ignored me and began to speak to my male friend (as if I was a dumb woman- strike one). Then Mr. Elder Vet went on to say AGAIN without the process of ruling out that my dogs eye needed to be removed and that he had no vision in it (strike two, and three) I asked how he came to that without ruling out - he THEN began to start the process of ruling out other conditions it could've been by numbing the eye, placing a stain, then he attempted to look in my dogs eye (with all the lights on- strike four) then went over to turn off the lights (the correct way to do it) in order to look into the dogs eye. He then mentioned AGAIN that his eye needed to be removed- without checking the pressure in his eye (STRIKE FIVE!!) We left as we felt that Mr. Elder vet was in the process of loosing his marbles. I will NEVER return to this vet as he was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, his bedside manner is null in void, and he is to quick to want to perform surgery WITHOUT proper ruling out ( Mr. Elder vet appears to be all about the $$$$). Cut to the next day I was able to have a different vet at a different establishment check out my dog. The findings: no fleas (had them check just to be sure), they performed a complete process of ruling out. The outcome was medication for my dogs eye- which cleared up AND he has vision in BOTH of his eyes. read more

When we first walked in, we were immediately welcomed by Nicole. She made my dog at ease by giving him a treat. However, it all went downhill after we tried to bring him inside the examination room. My dog has never been to a Vet before as I explained on phone. However, Dr. Leonard made his initial judgment of my dog without asking me why I was there and what my concerns were. He basically did a psychological exam on my dog without the history. His assistant Stephanie was so sweet and kind. Too bad she works for someone as rude and unprofessional like Dr. Leonard. He said he considers all animals citizen but if you are unruly and uncooperative, you are basically a savage and does not deserve a second chance. I have 3 areas to expand on: #1The best front line staff in my experience! Friendly people who welcome you when you walk in are the face of this beautifully kept place. They are happy and not on their phones and engage while in the waiting area with the clients and their animals. #2 I must say I was sooo happy when I learned that my previous vet Dr. Catching was now at Grantline! I immediately made an appt to have my heeler Tank looked at for vaccines and dental that was much needed. She then placed us on a priority list for dental with Tank needing 3 extractions by Dr. Silva. #3. Dr. Silva was so friendly and happy which just added to the great experience we had there. Dr Silva, was great in calling me when Tank was recovering from anesthesia to explain everything and provided a very warm and friendly post op check up when we returned. I will always remember this great experience and thank you from the bottom of my heart as it shows how much you truly love the animals and what you do for them. read more

I will NEVER refer you. Ever. I called around to find an appointment for my dog who had a foxtail in his gums, I had gotten it out but wanted a recheck and possibly antibiotics. When I called the lady said you already had me in your records as I had visited a LONG time ago. I was hesitant to make an appointment as my first experience with you was HORRIBLE but you were the soonest available and the lady was friendly so I had went ahead and made the appt.! Yesterday I get a call from a lady to confirm appt. and I told her I will be there. Today I come in and wait about 15-20 minutes filling out paperwork as you never seen the pup I brought in and your receptionist was calling our previous vet for vaccination records typical 'new patient' stuff, I get it. What really irritated me is the fact that you had me fill out all my information just to bring out a piece of paper that says I have a previous balance due for $357 from 2008 and you will not see us until it is paid, I guess this is a balance due from when we had to BEG your doctor to see our dog Lacey that had just been hit by a car and had a punctured lung. YOUR doctor didn't want to take the time because he had just clocked out and was on vacation obviously with no compassion. You barely looked my pup over and told us to go to VCA (she didn't make it FYI) and now here you are, still with the same horrible customer service because apparently the money is more of a factor from 12 years ago then taking care of your clients. My question is WHY didn't you inform me about this balance when we talked previously TWICE on the phone?? I have a one year old I had to get ready and had my mom come over to my house early to help me. You wasted everyone's time just to blindside me with a balance I had absolutely no idea about. If you had already turned my old outstanding balance over to a debt collector why are you still trying to collect on that old balance?! I made the mistake on going to you again when I should've already trusted my gut feeling. I'm HIGHLY disappointed with the way your staff handled this situation. Took Blondie, my 10 year old Bullmastiff there. No one wore masks.... I kid you not. Walked into the room and was surprised to see two vet technicians, one who I would describe as the "muscle". As my dog is a wee Skittish around strangers, I put the animal in the tall and narrow table myself. The two vet techs at the order of the vet held her down and muzzled her with his hands. I asked was this necessary and to take it easy. Vet dismissed me as he was checking her ears. Vet accurately diagnosed a fox sticker in my dogs skin. Went in with a tool, no sanitation or wound prep, fished around and pulled it out. Let me use our own supply of anti biotics. So could of been worse, could have been better. He stormed out after, no explanation for the checkup. Furious at the COVID response and manhandling without my permission of my dog, and freaked out by the hygiene issues. Happy that the dog was treated. Mixed bag. Last part was funny, talking with my Mrs, in the wZiting room, explained I left the credit cards and had only $ 130 on me. Guess what my bill came to? 130. TO ANY PERSON OF COLOR: DO NOT GO HERE. THE DOCTOR IS RACIST AND RUDE!!!!!! I don't know how the ratings of this place are so high but be weary of the lower ratings, they're right. This is the first review I have ever written because I am outraged at the service I received. My dog has a lump so I came here for the first time because of the ratings. I was the only person of color from what I can see. Everything seemed fine until we were called in. First, the nurses refused to let me put my dog on the table because they "can do it better" and hit his head while attempting to do so. Then, the doctor comes in and barely glances at the lump and announces it's a tumor and tells one of his nurses to schedule us for a surgery and then proceeds to give my dog a rabies shot without consulting me. And when I ask what type of tumor it may be, he mocks me and says "It's a tumor. Ever heard of a tumor?? Do you even know what it is?? Have you ever had one??" So not only did he act exasperated and basically yelled in my face, he did not inform me once what was going on. He also tried scheduling for a surgery before even testing the lump and seeing if a surgery was necessary. He's a greedy, selfish asshole who is willing to put animals under distress and discomfort for money. He also does not inform you of any procedure, I had to ask questions every two seconds for him to tell me what was going on. There's a reason even the positive reviews complain about his prices. We took our 13-year-old cat in for a runny nose and congestion. The Positives - We were able to make a same-day appointment when other vets in town were booked. Dr. Leonard seemed knowledgeable. The Negatives - Office staff seemed annoyed/rude. Vet assistant was very rough with our pet when being seen (why pick him up from his neck and tail??). Not gentle at all during the entire examination. Dr. recommended lab work so we agreed, expecting basic blood tests. We went to the front desk and were told charges would be $633. There was no estimate, no discussion or warning it would be this much. Previous reviews state "an itemized quote is provided before treatment is initiated". This is NOT the case. When they were taking lab samples in back, they also took it upon themselves to administer intravenous fluids, again, with no discussion, permission or estimate provided. During the visit, the doctor stated we would administer antibiotic twice per day. When we got home, we notice the bottle said once per day. We called the office the next morning to confirm and clarify and were told by the front desk, "once per day, I told you that you would have extra not used". This bottle is huge and we paid $75. Probably won't use a quarter of it at this rate - not sure why we were provided so much. We have had multiple dogs and cats for over 30 years and never had a veterinary office "surprise" us like this. read more

Dr Leonard is a very knowledgeable vet and is dedicated to helping your pet. Thankfully I took my dog Sadie into to see DR Leonard in time. My dog was sick during Christmas. Dr Leonard ran a few tests and said she is a very sick dog and needed to stay on an IV overnight. Well she was very sick and spent 6 days and 5 nights in very good hands. I feel blessed to have gotten her there when I did or my little best friend may have died from pancreasitits and kidney failure. She is 8 years old and we look forward to another 8 wonderful years with her. I love Dr Leonard and his staff. They all care very deeply about the pet and it's best interest for overall health and in a crisis he really came thru. This is a great looking place with a beautiful landscape. I was immediately impressed and expected noting but greatness for my lil' pal. I have the utmost respect for what this facility does for animals, but am disappointed with the time the Dr. took to learn more about my lil' pal's symptoms. He was very quick to diagnose. Here's the sitch - my pal had a hard time walking. I was worried so I made an appt to see the doc. I explained that my pal was favoring his hips - he didn't want to get up, looked sore as he got up to move, etc. it looked like he was having trouble with his right him. Dr takes him up on the table and only checks his left side. Hmmm Dr concludes that he needs x-rays and that his knee is most likely screwed up. At about this same time, his asst yanks a tick out of my pal's leg. Now...I am a Google certified vet you see....and I know pups can show symptoms of paralysis if there's a tick. Google it. I promise. Well, we found a total of three ticks. Yanked those f-ers out. Pal is thousands of times better now. Let me just say - I was sold on the x rays - the dr knows best, right? Again, I fully respect what this dude does, but I caution him from diagnosing too quickly. First he looked at the wrong leg that was bothering the dog, and secondly, he didn't even consider what his asst was doing. That's worthy of only 1 star from this Google certified doc! read more

Avoid at all costs!! I am absolutely infuriated at the treatment my 2 year old German Shepherd received at Grantline Veterinary Hospital by Dr. Leonard. Our dog is an incredibly sweet dog who is not people aggressive in the slightest. She does bark at other dogs, especial while on leash, and was barking at another dog that came into the waiting area. She is very friendly towards people, as evidenced by how friendly she was to the vet tech who took her weight before the exam. Upon being brought into the exam room, she was immediately lifted onto a table and physically restrained by two vet techs holding her down and leaning on her including having her mouth held shut. Dr. Leonard and the vet techs made absolutely no effort to make her comfortable with their presence. They didn't greet her or pet her first. The doctor then proceeded to attempt to examine her ears and had the gall to be irritated that she was struggling to get free. She whined and snapped at him because she was stressed and scared, not because she's aggressive. We tried to tell the doctor that she doesn't need to be held down, but he ignored us and insisted that she is aggressive because of the way she was reacting to being restrained. He seemed like he was predisposed to think she was going to be aggressive before he even met her or began the examination. In what world is it necessary to roughly hold down an otherwise gentle dog just to look in her ears? At that point my mother and I stepped in to calm her down and hold her instead of the techs to try to make her more comfortable, but he still insisted she stay on the table and lay down with her mouth held shut which was stressing her out. When the doctor tried to examine her ears again, she yelped and tried to snap at him again. Dr Leonard was visibly angry, he huffed, backed away and threw his arms up and declared that he couldn't examine her and I was more than happy to agree, as I was already done with having him anywhere near my dog only 3 minutes into our visit. Reading through all the 1 star Yelp reviews after we got home, I'm glad I stepped in when I did as it seems very likely he would have HIT my dog if I hadn't. (Yelp reviews: Stacy M. 8/5/2020, Eric W. 8/22/2020, and Allyssa P. 9/21/2021) This in stark contrast to our recent experience with other vets - Elk Grove Animal Clinic and VCA Bradshaw Animal Hospital in Elk Grove, vets who take the time to let our dog smell them and make them comfortable before even beginning any sort of examination. They were able to check her ears, heart, lungs, take her temp and even shove a finger up her butt for a fecal test without complaint! They didn't put her up on a high table or restrain her, she stayed on the floor and they went to her. The problem is absolutely with Dr Leonard and his rough and uncompassionate treatment of animals, not our dog. On our way out I went directly to the front desk and requested a refund, which she did very quickly. When we left the vets office we were physically upset, shaking and I wanted to go back in and scream at the vet for putting our dog through that. We got online to write a Yelp review and that's when we saw the other complaints with similar experiences. Along with other complaints regarding unnecessary tests and charges. I can attest to the fact that I felt I was being up-sold as well. While in the waiting area, the tech at the desk was suggesting several tests that would need to be done and medications all before even seeing or speaking to the vet. I understand that Dr Leonard is an older man and probably been a vet for many years so possible has been bitten before, however, I think his own fears are getting in his way and dictating his approach which created the situation in the first place and our animals are suffering for it. When we got home we noticed she was limping slightly and her front left paw gave out several times while walking in the house. She must have been hurt while she was being restrained. Brought my dog here and expected a professional business. It is far from that, in fact it's more like 2nd rate. The old guy vet is quite arrogant, nasty as well as grumpy and rude. Kinda like , he needs to retire soon but you can't, because you have bills to pay. If you have a rescued pet don't even think about bringing them here. Seems like this vet will pick and choose what type of animals he would like to have as patients. If your not the type, get ready to feel as if your not wanted and be shown the door. My dog, is a bit coo coo. He's rude and not dog friendly. I have been avoiding the vet forever but recently he injured himself. With apprehension and stress I made the call to Grantline. I warned that he was not dog friendly and they were accommodating. They had me in that day, just a few hours later. Now this was a Saturday and I wasn't charged an emergency fee!! They understood so, I loaded up my 3 kids and my nutso dog and went in. They staff was so kind to let my kids sit in the waiting room while I took my nervous boy back. We kept my dog in the car until they were ready. The doctor came out to watch him walk up and with an attempt to examine him. However, my dog was so worked up and with worry of furthering his injury we stopped and they gave him his vaccinations and a pain reliever and I brought him back to my car. I got some drugs with instructions to bring him again today (Monday) to do a follow up and to get a better check on his shoulder. Once again. The doctor watched us walk up and was able to perform his check. I am so grateful that my pooch is okay. I am grateful that the staff was willing to wrestle my dog to get that muzzle on. (For their safety and his) They didn't try to drain me Financially which was a breath of fresh air. Most people will spend their last penny on their pets health and I have personally been put through that ringer for my pets in the past. I highly recommend them and will feel confident that my pets will receive the best care and I will get honest responses to my worry! read more

........ wow. Never in my life have I had to bite my tongue as hard as I did here. Talk about the most disrespectful doctor who administered medicine without my consent and hurt my dogs jaw. I went in for consultation of my dying rescue dog and instead was berated for the condition of her teeth an affliction she had when I first got her that was deemed irreversible by another local vet 12 years ago. When I explained I knew he tried to make me out as a dog abuser and I was floored. I've rescued a multitude of dogs and rehomed them over the years and this man had the audacity to essentially "poor shame" me for not being to afford a full scale jaw surgery for my dog at the age of 11 years old even though I was told there was no way to fix her teeth when I rescued her. Refused to bring my dog back to me until I payed for an exam where I already knew what was wrong. Office staff told me that I would be consulted on her vaccines and instead I got stuck with the bill for 2 she already had this year. My dog will see other care facilities and I recommend you take your loved ones elsewhere as well. read more

My first time here was in the beginning stretch of a 7-hour road trip, with my cat. Early on, she was clearly stressed from the drive so I found this place on my way and am extremely grateful.
