This is my second wine tour with Grapeline and it was yet again an amazing experience. My husband and I toured Napa Valley for the first time. Our host was Anthony and he was great from the start. Very personable and knowledgeable about the Napa Valley. He went above and beyond and stopped for us to get a picture at the famous Napa Valley sign. He also gave us great suggestions for dinner for our week long stay. From the initial set up to the actual tour, the experience was amazing. We toured 3 wineries and each had its own unique experience. Laura set up the tour for us and had great questionnaire to help pick the best winery. I worked with Jodee at Grapeline to set up this tour for myself and my family when we visited my son in San Francisco. She was extremely helpful and planned a perfect day to accommodate my interests in a tasting tour. Unlike many people, I was not looking for a wine party, but rather a series of quality tasting of some great California reds, especially those with some age on them. She set us up with a tour of 4 top wineries which was just right for the day. Our tour guide and driver was Doug, and he was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. He seemed to know when to throw in some interesting tidbits about the history and wineries in the region, and when to give us time to enjoy the scenery and talk amongst ourselves. It was a family get together and we had a lot of catching up to do with each other so Doug's attention to that was appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience that our family will long remember. Our day with Grapeline was perfect from start to finish. The pickup was seamless and our driver Dustin was phenomenal. He was able to tell us about the town, the various wineries, historic families in the area, and even gave restaurant recommendations. We were picked up at 10:20am, and dropped off around 4pm. We went to: Kunde Family Winery. Great tour of the wine cave and thorough explanations. They let us taste the grapes right off the vine. St. Anne's Crossing. My favorite wines of the trip however the atmosphere is lacking. We did not get to see their grapes or do a tour. They do have a lovely back patio however. Kenwood. This was a disappointment. They did not give history of the winery or show us around. It was simply like getting wine at a bar. Deerfield. Good atmosphere, their tasting room is in a wine cave. They had a nice variety of wines however again, we did not get to tour their vineyard. All in all, Grapeline did a fantastic job orchestrating the day. My one recommendation is to remove Kenwood from their lineup. read more

We loved our tour in Sonoma! Our driver, Mark, was so pleasant and informative, and made us feel so special. It was just my husband and I, we were on our honeymoon, and we felt like celebrities :-). The wineries were beautiful and interesting, from the very boutique to the larger, more corporate type. We had a simple but lovely box lunch served to us in a wine cave, with plenty of wine to accompany it. It was a full and fun day, with a little side trip to a brewery as a special treat. Mark is an excellent driver, pointing out items of interest without being overly talkative. Our vehicle was large and clean and we were very comfortable. My friend and I toured with Lance and had an amazing time. They picked us up right from our Air BnB and dropped us off too. The wineries they picked were all beautiful and we had great experiences at each one. The four we went to were all close to each other as well, so not much time between wineries which we liked. Lunch provided was delicious. Lance was knowledgeable and fun all throughout the day. Never felt rushed at any winery either. I would definitely recommend Grapeline to anyone going to Sonoma county. Picked up on time. They took us to 4 different places. from around 11am until 4pm. They picked us up at a parking lot, with free parking for the whole day. The bus was clean and chilled for the warm day. All tasting fees were included, which I really liked that part since some of the places didn't include it. We did not click with our group as much, and it was sort of awkward having to sit with them for lunch, and at one of our tastings we had to sit with them as a group too. Conversation turned into politics, and not the good kind, so it was not our favorite thing about the trip. But that's understandable, it's a random group so you could get anything. Really enjoyed visiting all the wineries, wish we could have stayed longer at some to walk around and maybe get a bottle and enjoy it there. If you buy anything, you really don't have time to drink it during the tour. During lunch, we only had water, since the winery we had lunch at didn't really serve wine by the glass, and there was no time to get a bottle. read more

Fab tour. Five star. Highly recommend. We were a group of three on a rainy day in Sonoma. The tour had everything pre-arranged and paid for which made the day super easy. Fireman Nate was our driver and host. Nate couldn't have been more knowledgeable, fun and professional. Besides the wineries, he swung by a historic depot and shared some family and valley history- very personable! We loved every minute of our day at Loxton, Benziger, Valley of the Moon (Madrone) and Imagery. Nate might have had the secret code that let us into Ledson too... Shhh! Our faves were Loxton and Ledson. Both great wines and disparate experiences. We feel we owe Nate more tip money! He was terrific! read more

This was a great choice for a tour of Sonoma Valley wineries. Our tour guide, Rufina, was very knowledgeable about all the wineries and local history. We went to four wineries on our tour: Benziger, Imagery, Kenwood, and St. Anne. Rufina was very professional and accommodating of our group. She gave us clear instructions and had a rapport with all of the wineries. Everything was easy and on time. Went on a group tour for a Bachelorette weekend with Grapeline. Could not be happier with our experience!! Robynne made booking a breeze and also recommended other places in the area to visit. The Bus was super spacious and plush, we really felt like we were traveling in style. bonus points for snacks! Our Guide was Katrina and she was super fun and knowledgeable about the wineries which was cool to get to know a little back story on each one. We went to 4 wineries and and all of them had a different feel and wine they featured. I really love how the cost of the tastings are included in your tour was was great because really who wants to deal with that at every stop. You also get a gourmet lunch that after a few tastings is perfect! The tour was a great addition to our weekend plans for relaxation and celebration. My husband and I visited the Tuesday after Labor Day and ended up being the only people on our tour. Our driver, RJ, made us feel welcome and comfortable. There was a full itinerary for us planned out and handouts giving details about each location were provided. We liked that there was a schedule to the day, but we never once felt rushed. We visited Loxton, Kunde, Deerfield and VJB, which were all fabulous and with very different feels. Loved that the tasting fees were already handled so we were able to just relax and enjoy the wine and scenery. Plus, the provided picnic lunch was tasty and a nice relaxing part of the day. Spent the day with Lance in Sonoma! It was a great tour and he was very knowledgeable of the area and history. The wineries were chose by Grapeline and we enjoyed most, Loxton being the overall favorite (not to miss!). We ended up having a horrible experience at Kenwood Vineyards and I would recommend definitely skipping this winery if you are able to coordinate that with Grapeline. Lance however, handled the incident amazing, extremely professional and ensured that our group would continue to have a really positive rest of the day. Our tour guide Rufina was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. I had never been on a wine tour before this one and went with a friend. I lack any knowledge about wine and was under the impression I didn't even like wine at all. I chose this tour because it was the cheapest that I could find. I'm glad Grapeline could be my first experience because I had such a good time. Of the four vineyards we visited we got to taste 5-6 wines each. We were able to book the morning of the tour and fell blessed. The cost included touring four wineries and a box lunch from a local restaurant. There were only two couples on the tour on Monday, so we had plenty of room to spread out in the vehicle. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, as she had studied wine making at a local college. She was able to provide information about the terrain, climate and the recent fires that added to our experience. I felt the wineries we toured were well selected and that Grapeline Tours was recognized as a valued partner at each winery. This was reflected in our treatment at each stop. read more

We booked a trip and visited 4 wineries. Our trip was on a Tuesday and we got lucky and had the SUV all to ourselves. We found wines we liked and purchased at 3 of the 4. Loved Kunde immensely and were saddened that we couldn't go into the caves but wine production was getting underway! Not so thrilled with St Anne's but get that our tastes are probably different. We got to taste in the caves at Deerfield. Valley of the Moon had great wines too. I am kicking myself for not posting this review sooner. We went in early Sept and I am not positive of our guide's name but she was fabulous and shared her knowledge of the area and wine making. Highly recommend this company and leaving the driving to someone else so you can enjoy tasting many great wines. read more

Wow! Absolutely loved Grapeline Wine Tours!! A group of us did a winetour with Grapeline for my friend's birthday. When researching different companies, I really liked that the tour included lunch and ALL the winetasting fees at every winery. In my past experiences on other wine tours, you normally have to pay at each winery, which is kind of a hassle, especially once you've been drinking! From the very beginning we felt totally pampered and taken care of. I arranged the tour and had great communication with Robynne, getting all the details worked out for a truly special day. She really took the time to make sure everything was in place and was so friendly. We were picked up in a gorgeous tour bus (not too big, probably fit 16-18 people) that was super plush and comfy and had lots of yummy snacks on board! Our host Katrina was amazing! She was so fun and outgoing, she really became part of our group and it made our day that much more fun. My favorite winery we went to was Deerfield; they had great wines and the cave was really cool. All the wineries we went to were all really different and unique, and all the wines were superb. To top it all off, we had this amazing lunch from The Girl and the Fig. It was so delicious, and we even coordinated a b-day cake. It was a great day! I would highly recommend Grapeline if you are looking to do some winetasting in Sonoma! I had researched a few other tour companies: none of them included vineyard tasting fees, but Grapeline did for about the same price so I went with them and I'm so glad I did! First tour was very informative, met one of the owners with her dog and purchased wines and a wolf wine spout. Second tour was also good. Third tour we had a lunch from Girl in the Fig restaurant. Ordered the chicken and was very disappointed as this is supposed to be a very good restaurant. Chicken was a big slab over salad that was dry and overcooked. The cookie however was delicious. The tour was a lot of fun! The fee covers lunch, tastings, vineyard tour costs, etc., so the experience is truly all about the wine. I wish there was a way to incorporate a small class into one of the stops where we could learn more about blending our own bordeaux-style blend or how the soil type contributes to the grape. But, the tasting experience and our tour guide were worth the 5 stars! It's also an incredibly good value (four winery tastings, a vineyard tour, lunch, a guide/driver, and pick-up/drop off from your hotel)! Katrina was a wonderful tour guide. This was the highlight of our trip to Sonoma! Katrina was our driver/guide, and she was awesome...so fun, relaxed, and friendly. There were only 6 people on our tour (half of whom were in my group), so it was almost like having our own personal tour.
