A hidden gem of healing knowledge AND locally owned!…read more I was looking for a very specific species of plant: non-GMO, cold pressed, steam distilled and sourced from the Mediterranean. Nourish Market was one of 3 locations in the greater Houston area that carried what I was looking for. I had to get my hands on this product for the upcoming flu season for my medicinal arsenal. I called and Candy was friendly and more importantly, knowledgeable. Not only did she know exactly what I was looking for but had another recommendation that exceeded my expectations. When I arrived and had a few more questions she was able to reach the manufacturer for clarification - bear in mind I was there on a Monday during slower traffic business hours. EXCELLENT SERVICE. This quaint local market is clean, lovingly organized and featured products from other local small businesses. I do extensive research on herbs and wellness products and glancing through the wellness section, it is clear their inventory is consciously and selectively curated. The health conscious and curious will have a nice selection to chose from; with the added benefit of knowledgeable staff. I didn't have as much time to explore as I wanted but I will definitely be back and be recommending Nourish Market to everyone.

Judging from their website, they must be associated with Nature's Market (another listing that I added). By the way, this website offers the option to purchase online, which is convenient. I will try to review this store more thoroughly- but for now, at least I wanted to add it to our Yelp directory. Check it out!

But as soon as they move the new location off the Beltway 8 near HEB. One of their employees, the cashier; follows me around in the store. I always come in and buy the same thing I've been buying for years. I didn't confront them and ignored it at first. If he does it again, I will confront them. It's normally the cashier or someone standing near the cashier. I'm AA woman and I don't appreciate being followed around the store as if you think I'm going to steal. I haven't stole and I won't start. That's not my forte. Get off my back and let my skin breathe. I want to be able to walk around the store like I've been doing for many years and don't need you to follow me like some creep. About the pills, they have a wide selection and it's still expanding. I only get one certain pill and like everything else it's gone up. It used to be $15 a box now it's $23 a box. Oh my he-ba jebbies? I want to continue to come back and not have this hiccup ruin my time here. Rod!!

I mean my pocket book is probably better for it because I want to buy the whole store but honestly I've been missing out. The place is cute and welcoming from the corner sign on the building to the moment you step in- bright, inviting, great displays so you know where to go. You can't get lost in here with the signage, but you can't definitely get lost in the aisles with all the great, unique choices. The ready food display has so many Mediterranean treats, some I've had before some I've never heard of and everything I tried was amazing. We got the cabbage rolls and Armenian veggie dolmas. Great flavor, both specific items I haven't had before. Nice citrus, spiced flavor to these. I'd say they're have to try items. Not only found jarred tomato paste, which I've been on the hunt for but they had choices in this category and that's another first for me. Will have to go back and try the others. Also got the cured Serrano ham -amazing. And I thought the prices were going to be insane having a spot right in the middle of the city and nope- pleasantly surprised for my goodies, great prices even less than some of the other stores I frequent in the suburbs. I'll be back again and again and again until I try the whole store lol. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it

Perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior. The sweet potato fries were equally delicious. I got the Hill Country salad. Same tender but crispy chicken on a bed of greens with berries. So good. They had the same menu items and I noticed the prices increased since I last been. The cashier was a bit timid, he talked so low but he was as helpful as he could be. The ambiance is exactly the same. It's intimate and small, cool for a private or solo outing. I would say the music was up a bit louder than expected but it was cool. Now shall we????? The food. Cali ($13) : 4/10 - simply put. No flavor. Fried well though. Not the same. Lil Red BBQ ($12) - 8/10 - The jackfruit could've been seasoned more but the texture was great. My girlfriend liked how soft the bread was also. The BBQ was also good. Notyo Salad ($13) -8.5/10 - This was the most consistent item on the menu. The only thing I can say about it was that it needed more sauce to cover the amount of arugula and micro greens that came on it. But y'all ITS FLAVORFUL. The lime flavor with the avocado. It's MUAAAAHHHHH :* Sweet Potato Fries ($3/each) - 8.5/10 - Fried well. Good portion for price. Left us feeling light. My rating... this is an affordable and great health spot. If you're paying attention they inform people about their needs, ingredients included in the meals, and what the benefits are. If you are new to vegan food this is a great start. This was actually the first vegan restaurant I ever been to. And I enjoy it every time. This time it was less explosive coming back 5 years later.

Finally they found the order by my name and their responses were as follows: - it's for Friday (my response: I placed the order on Friday. The pickup is now) - we called you to tell you two of your additions were not raw (my response: you didn't leave a message) - something suggesting a miscommunication between order received and the kitchen. They then told me it would take less than 15 minutes to prepare it. I agreed. However it took half an hour. So far, I have tried their soulberger, nori rolls, raw cheesecake, and rawritto. They were good but not so great for me to dive an hour from my home to their place.
