This is my favorite hydro shop. The employees are all very knowledgeable and very friendly. I'm disabled and they are always very helpful. I always have my husband with me but they are always willing to help lift things. They help with all of my questions and help me find everyone I need. Excellent service. I drove 45 mins from Escondido to this store to buy FoxFarm potting soil as recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, they ran out of Foxfarm soil... However, I was still so happy. Staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable. 100% satisfied. Will definitely come back. read more

I get here 3 minutes after they close they have a bunch of soil outside still forklifts moving it inside but still gonna be a while before done but can't sell a bottle on nutrients to help a loyal customer out go to Temecula everyday and because of the rain had to stop here.....CANT WAIT TILL GREEN COAST HITS LAKE ELSINORE!! Horrible place!! Some of the staff is kind of knowledgable. I ordered a product they didn't carry in stock and was told it would be there in a few days, a week tops. Took almost 3 weeks for my product to arrive. In addition I've tried to get another product from them and have had nothing but issues. This is my one-stop go-to shop for everything "growing". The staff is always helpful and go out of their way to make me feel like my business is valued. The manager Troy is always willing to do what it takes to make sure I leave happy, and if he can't he calls the owner Dave who then does the same. I always go here before any other place and will even give them an opportunity to order something for me before I'd buy from someone else's stock. They have a HUGE selection and their shelves are always well-stocked. I would recommend Grass Roots to anyone who grows anything from apples to zucchini! read more

The staff at all grass roots locations are super knowlehable. I recently wanted to purchase a super expensive humidifier machine for my dry room but instead, one of the friendly grass roots employees recommend an inexpensive meter/controller with an outlet that could accommodate a power strip allowing me to easily utilize the smaller, less expensive humidifiers I already own. Every time I walk into this store I learn something new. When your given an alternative solution, that is way less expensive, you know your shopping at a honest and reliable store. I recently had to go to this Grassroots after the Temecula store was out of stock of the product i needed. First off the customer service leaves much top be desired. I was questioned immediately and told the product that i was looking for did not exist, when i pointed it out on the shelf the employee in question became less than friendly. He was also unwilling to honor my discount until i pressed him into calling the other store to confirm. I do not appreciate being called a liar and i will no longer be shopping at the Lake Elsinore Grassroots Hydro. If you want excellent customer service and friendly employees go to the Temecula store. read more

The worst customer service period. Save your money these people will not take care of you after your initial purchase.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AROUND! I just left this place and I'll never be back. I've had a couple questionable instances here before but this takes the cake! I go in, gather my stuff and proceed to check out. The guy rings me up , "Its gonna be $14. 68" then i say "Oh i forgot i have this discount card can i use it too?" "oh sure let me add you to the system" and he does well then he gets my new total and says "Okay its gonna be 16.something" and I was confused because it was higher than the original price and i just handed him my DISCOUNT card. I told him that was higher than the price he just gave me and he then says he's gonna give me an additional discount. "Your total is $15.71" STILL HIGHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PRICE! Then he had the audacity to tell me "well you screwed yourself when you handed me the discount card." I was shocked. If they were a stand up business and had a sale going on that beat my discount card price why not give me that price? Instead its my fault because i tried using the discount card (which is proof alone i was a loyal customer... NOT ANY MORE THO!) which gave me only 10% off. FINALLY after arguing with him he gave me the sale price. But then proceeded to toss my change on the counter back at me.... clearly annoyed with me. Its a shame too because the other guy who works there is great. read more
